Soap Hoppers: The Soap Actors And Roles Thread
Hey, @slick jones! First, Happy New Year! Just a little postscript about the 2011 Law & Order credit for Jay O. Sanders. It was actually from the spinoff, Law & Order: Criminal Intent (if you're going for 1,000% accuracy!) I just figured I'd give a heads up! (He was the final captain for that final season.) He was a perp on the original Law & Order, however, as Nick Taska/Bill Fallon in the Season 9 episode, "Tabula Rasa". (Can you tell I was a fan of the franchise? )

And yet, I have the feeling it won't matter. I think Georgia will vote Loeffler/Perdue in again. And the fact that McTurtle killed this so fast tells me that internal GOP polling must be favorable.

The TIME Person of the Year goes to President-Elect Joe Biden and Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris! And, not to be left out, in what appears to be a special honor for this year, TIME has named Dr. Anthony Fauci, "Guardian of the Year": Fauci shares the honor with front line health-care workers:

I guess David Lander (no s, changed from Landau! ) fought MS for many years. It's such a horrible disease. As a wee kiddie, I remember watching Lennie and Squiggy on Tuesday nights. No one could say "HELLO!" quite like Squiggy. This has been posted on Twitter, but I'll post it here. Hilarious song by Lennie and Squiggy!

Anyone else HATING the new Hershey's Christmas commercial?
It starts off with the classic Kisses bells but then morphs into a horn as a family makes cookies. For me, the original was a CLASSIC, airing for DECADES. No reason to change it. But the "update" blows, in my humble opinion!

Also posted in the media/journalism thread: Governor Andrew Cuomo (New York governor...so, my governor!) will be receiving an Emmy award. Seriously. New York’s governor, Andrew Cuomo, is set to receive an Emmy award, typically given to those in the television industry, for his use of the medium when responding to the Covid-19 pandemic. The International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, one of the organizations that awards Emmys, said Cuomo’s award, the Founder’s award, is “in recognition of his leadership during the Covid-19 pandemic and his masterful use of television to inform and calm people around the world”. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/nov/20/andrew-cuomo-emmy-award-coronavirus-briefings

Carl, you know I like you, but you need to look at the big picture: Even with ALL of the schitt the GOP tried for this election, Joe Biden got the MOST VOTES OF ANY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIATE IN HISTORY. I'm not naive; I know the GOP is filled with criminals. But the alert percentage of voters didn't bite - and won't. Again, my point stands: The ignorant buy into it all because it makes them feel superior. And this is why I am so grateful to have intelligent, focused people on our side like Stacey Abrams. I hope she can help both GA candidates steal the Senate from Turtle. Being MINORITY leader would kill him. And if it doesn't happen? Well, Joe does have the EO that Don so loved if the Senate won't cooperate. And there is ALWAYS 2022. Never lose hope. Then the bastards win.
