When Kim Simms left the reason given was the show wanted her for 2 years and she would only agree to one. So I think they actually liked her but didn’t want to have to renegotiate a contract again after a year if she had decided to stay. This was in a Logan article in tvguide I think but it has been over 30 years.

Churn is when people subscribe to a streaming service and then cancel    Once the show they are a fan of ends and they only subscribe again when the show returns.

I felt kind of weird watching real life exes with their fake kid at an imaginary wedding. At least some history was mentioned today.

The author of the book mentioned how he didn’t watch the show in the early years and only saw them on Soapnet. He started watching in real time later in the run. And he also admitted his love of Delia, from when he started watching the show.

Sonny wasn’t on the Friday episode. That said I have zero interest in Carly running a magazine especially since there is no story there. Also isn’t it suspect that Carly was given a job at a place which was part of the company that caused her to be accused of insider trading. 

Yes on GL, Michelle married Danny  due to her part in Mick’s death by rock when they were pretty much strangers.

The amount of money they pay to show an actor’s photo is less than if they show a video clip. I don’t know the exact numbers but it is less.

My issue as always is the whole we have the best fans who never stopped watching ever or will be with us no matter what we do. That is not true and sorry many of Cam’s fans probably liked him before he ever was on GH…so having him in that segment was odd.

The big bird doll thing happened at a GL luncheon….someone went and brought the voodoo doll against Laura Wright and was proud of it..showing it off to PAS this was when it was possible that Danny and Cassie would be a couple.

they announced that the acting awards would be given out by last year’s winner of the opposite sex along with a legacy aka past winner from years earlier. So Francesca James was there with Kelly Thiebaud to give out the supporting actor award, and they mentioned how Francesca was the second to get that honor and had other Emmy’s for work that wasn’t acting. All the other presenters from the past were currently still acting in the genre…

I thought the in memory section should include anyone who passed since the last Daytime Emmy show so it should include anyone who died after late June 2022.. (June 24 or so was the last ceremony) so it should have been nearly 18 months of people shown…

so will they be giving refunds to people who had digital subs? My memory is reading in the store, and also reading back issues in a local library storage room..

So they haven’t answered the question in regard to digital subscriptions and when the last print issue other than the specials was done…

Could they want to hire cheaper crew members? That was my first reaction to this situation sigh .

Yes the increase for Amazon Prime if you want to keep the service without ads is extremely annoying. At least other vendors made the ad version less than what was standard. I just want to know more about the tentative deal, and how much of it could be ported to the SAG demands….

DWTS has one WGA member in their staff, so about 500 people are being picketed for one employee who is striking… it would be different if DWTS had any sort of replay value for the content that was written as dance routines are not covered by the strike. 

With AMC stopped watching when they hired Megan McTavish back…and when they brought her to OLTL stopped watching that and was able to watch AMC again… and then only went back regularly to OLTL about 7 or more years later as every time I thought to watch again they did something I didn’t like.

This is just such a difficult situation. I hope Billy is at peace now, I am relieved his  mother spoke out if only to clear up the wrong information.

The View is part of the news department, which is why I think there are less complaints as people aren’t picketing news broadcasts as they are not considered struck work. Cable news would have had to stop if those writers where WGA members… Drew and The Talk have or had WGA writers on staff like the late night talk shows…that is where the issue comes from probably.

GH actually preempts episodes nationally so that is probably why it was a lackluster Friday.
