Who’s the new actor playing Lucas?

Y&R really can’t figure out what to do with Nick. I think they realize he can’t play business mogul, and he’s been eclipsed by Adam and Billy, both played by more skilled actors. He’s basically become a sex object/tut-tut scold for Phyllis, who is now Genoa City’s Lucy Coe.

They’re also in a holding pattern with Victoria. She exists only to swat away Adam and to tangle with Phyllis every now and then. Yet the rivalry really being played isn’t Adam vs. the Newmans, aside from Adam’s daddy issues with Victor; it’s Adam vs. Billy they’ve focused on, who would seem to be assuming the Victor/Jack roles (which leaves Nick as who?). The more I think about it, the more of a mess Y&R seems.

This guy is hilarious.

I have to think more on it, but watching late ‘70s/early ‘80s GH, the Alan/Monica/Rick/Lesley quad was just incomparable. A very adult, balanced story. It’s not surprising that it was iconic.

Drugged-up Sasha is a laugh riot OMG. Good that they’ve gone full-on camp with it.

The actress who plays Zoe is lucky to be on the show when she is, because they needed "black presence" on this show. Otherwise, her ass would've been written off a long time ago. 

 

I missed the episode(s) explaining Zende's break-up with Nicole, but he's basically a blank slate new character with no ties to the past. 

They should have simply brought back the Avants. At least there’s built-in history there if they’d chosen to reintroduce Zende. And Obba Babatunde’s appearance would have made sense.

Abby’s such an idiot. Elena told her that seeing Chance would put him at a risk of infection, and she rushes in to see him? Just thinking of people who can’t see hospitalized relatives due to COVID...and Y&R is playing that sh!t like it’s cute and romantic. Tone-deaf.

Is Lola being phased out? It does seem like Sally might vie with Summer for Kyle, which wouldn’t leave Lola with much to do.
