For some reason, this will be one of my favorite Porsha moments:

Ha. It’s a society issue too. 20 years ago Michelle Stanford’s Phyllis returned at age 35 and seemed emotionally and physically mature to be paired with Jack. Now actors appear and act forever 25 years old despite being over 30 and sometimes 40s.
It is true. Courtney Hope is in her 30s, and her character often feels like a green yet ambitious recent college grad. And Summer and Kyle felt like high school kids playing dress-up as junior executives. But a lot of that is reflected in society, for sure. Thirty-year-olds simply felt older back in the days (compare “thirtysomething” to any comparable show these days—those characters feel ancient.) More and more, young adults feel like they’re in a prolonged adolescence.
There is a commentary to be had about forty-something men feeling rootless and adrift, but Y&R wasn’t making it unfortunately. They just didn’t know what to do with its male characters. They still don’t. Nick is all up in his siblings’ business with no story of his own.

That's insulting Passions...
Brad writes these character like they live in Bumpkin, Iowa in 1955 instead of Los Angeles, California 2021. I'm sure they have heard of plenty of A-List couples in the Forrester circle have open/poly relationships for years now. Not to mention Eric finding other ways to please Quinn sexually...
It’s just laughable that they playing these moments like big reveals, ending today’s show with Eric telling Ridge he gave Quinn permission to fûck Carter. None of it makes a lick of sense. Even the oldest and most conservative members of the B&B audience are more sophisticated than this.

LOL. I can’t bring myself to get angry about this Eric story or its racism. It’s too stupid. No one in this story is behaving credibly. It’s like Passions at its most idiotic.
The characters talk about ED like a bunch of giggly Catholic-school kids, as if this medical condition hasn’t been discussed ad nauseum for generations.

He thinks he is still writing his novels. You get to craft extensive backstories for novels, but this is a soap opera tell stories that actually began on the screen.
Indeed. It feels like all drama happened in the past or in somebody’s dreams.

Real Housewives of Atlanta tea. Porsha likely not returning... but Nene might get a Jill Zarin cameo:
Glad they are looking to acknowledge Gregg’s passing with a potential Nene return.
Drew needed to be a one-and-done, regardless of Porsha’s status. Her first season was a whole-ass fail, and her reunion performance was a disaster. Her husband will need to parade around in boxer briefs every episode to justify keeping her on.

Josh Griffith is so in love with crafting these elaborate character backstories that he can’t dramatize on screen. Like we don’t need all this convoluted madness with Ashland. Nor did we need it with Adam. Nor did we need it with Amanda and Sutton.

Yes, Andy, I co-sign this shade...
That’s hilarious. Kyle is gorgeous there, gotta say.

Watching this past Sunday's episode gets me feeling we're due for a shakeup on Potomac because a lot of them genuinely do not like one another. Perhaps I'm wrong and things will work itself out as the season nears the end and we have the reunion.
I agree. This might be their NY S4/S5 moment. But this might be an even more substantial task than remaking NYC. It’s a tricky puzzle to put together, and I don’t envy the producers who’d have to do it.
I have never been the biggest Wendy fan, but I actually liked how she stood her ground, especially against Robyn, who was behaving so stupidly. This is the obnoxious Robyn I don’t particularly love. The one who stuck her finger in Ashley’s face and escalated a physical encounter with Monique. She’s not slick, and she’s not the voice of reason.

The Laver Cup has dodged a lot of scrutiny due to Good Ol’ Rog’s involvement.
Novak has pulled out of Indian Wells:

The sad year for soaps continues. Glad that I was able to finally watch his work as Quint to see him at his best.

I’m not sure most of this is true to character. Everyone seems dumb as rocks!
These folks haven’t even been acting like human beings, much less in character. (I did tune in for the Carly/Nina fight.)

THIS.
Part of the reason I started to slow watch again was I was reading about the mystery of Nelle and how she had a grudge against Carly and hints kept being dropped around Bobbie (who I love) so yeah...still directing plot to this day.
Smug Robin may be, but GUUUURRRRL, ROBIN BETTER READ. lol.
I always loved KMc's delivery of 'You're as common as dirt.' The inflection. The hint of bitca peeking through. You could feel their hatred of each other. And see it. Just flawless.
And Kimberly’s bitchy little haircut haha…

Obviously Tanner Novlan is nice to look at, but c’mon Finn, there are occasions when it’s appropriate to grab a shirt. I guess he wasn’t expecting to see Sheila there, but does Finn do anything but surf? Like isn’t he a doctor?

Robin was getting to be way too virtuous, they needed someone to knock her down a bit and balance it out. There was a point after Stone when it felt like everyone was her damn friend and was so concerned about her for months.
This was also a decent scene. Robin could be very smug:

An interesting piece on why SNL cast members don’t leave anymore—our current fragmented, IP-driven media landscape doesn’t offer as many opportunities for post-SNL stardom:
