  1. Oh how I LOVE drunk Erica, conspiring with Edmund to screw over Dimitri. I hate that they made her a drug addict and alcoholic because she was SUCH a fun drunk. I loved it when she and Edmund were on the same side, working together, and I wish they hadn't ruined that by having her kidnap Maddie.

OMG! I loved it! I love it when La Lucci does comedy. So funny. I remember when Edmund said to her, " You deserve an Oscar for that performance," and then she said, "I'd settled for an Emmy."

  2. I must say watching these scenes make me strangely angry. This seems like such a dark period of AMC, and a bizarre period, but in the midst of Donna's murderous fantasies, they really missed out on a dramatic story. I know they had to give Tad a big exit, but they still could have "killed" him off another way.

I loved the way Tad was killed off! Those were great scenes when he and Billy Clyde fell off the bridge and Tad hitched hiked to California. I liked that the audience knew he was alive but everyone in Pine Valley thought he was dead.

  3. Jonathan and ellabelle did you see La Lucci on The View? Thought she looked radiant as ever! LOVED her hair!

But omg..how rude was Barbara? Bitch INTERRUPTED Susan when she was setting up her clip! She waved her hands and was like "Ok were gonna show you." My blood BOILED a little bit!

Hello! Of course I saw her on The View. I also saw her a few hours earlier on Good Morning America. Amazing as always. She talked about Devious Maids, Investigation Discovery, and Army Wives. She said she was emotional coming back to the building where the show had taped for many years.

She doesn't seem to recall having scenes with Kim on All My Children. Kim had also forgotten that they shared scenes together.

  4. Thanks. Is it me or did AMC have a ton of those quick and random goodbyes? And not just during writers' strikes.

I still have no idea why they never considered bringing her back for the Damon story, but I know that's already been talked to death.

I believe LB wanted to, but people above her weren't so keen on doing so. And then D&D showed up and just did what they were told to do.

Eva La Rue was one of Rosie's last guests. They talk about All My Children.

  6. Larry King interviewed Mike Nader a few years ago and I missed it, but I'm sure it was more about his personal woes rather than his career. I'd be interested in hearing what it was like for him making the transition from primetime to daytime, adjusting to pay/schedule/workload, working with THE two divas of either medium, et cetera.

I read a transcript of it online a few years back.

    Here it is:

  7. OMG, Cheap wonderful! You should try to find a pic of her stabbing Dimitri.

IA she is. Some people criticized her wardrobe as being too young and not age appropriate for her but I wouldn't want it any other way. I cringe at the thought of Erica dressing like a 60+ yr old grandma

Can you imagine if Erica dressed like one of the Golden Girls. No, no no! th_smilie20shaking20head20NO.gif

  8. Uh, does anybody know?

It's a little fuzzy, but I believe Ryan found a letter (or Erica found a letter that she then gave to Ryan) explaining that Chris wasn't really his father. It was a quick and easy way for McTavish to explain away what the previous regime had written.

  9. I'm reading old synopses on wikipedia. I came across this one. I remember Sheila, but I don't remember this sex scene with Greg.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Nelson_and_Jenny_Gardner

A few weeks later, Greg thinks that he saw Jenny again, but it turns out to be a girl named Sheila (played by Cynthia Sullivan) who was hired by Jenny's former modeling agent Olga Svenson as a publicity stunt. Greg became involved with Sheila, but the audience balked at their quick and contrived romance in the wake of Jenny's untimely death. In a late December 1984 scene (the last appearance of Sheila), Greg and Sheila were shown having sex beneath a thermal blanket on the floor of Sheila's apartment. In a rather graphic scene for daytime, Greg was shown thrusting back and forth on top of Sheila, and then began moaning, "Jenny, Jenny," while the camera panned to Sheila's shocked face. Sheila's landlord Myrtle Fargate later told Greg that Sheila had left town because she realized he never loved her; he was only trying to use her to repress his grief over losing Jenny.
  10. I love this location shoot on the boat. Also, I didn't know that Lynne Thigpen had another role in the '80s. <br> <br> <object width="480" height="360"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DKFz26wCP8?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param'>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DKFz26wCP8?version=3&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DKFz26wCP8?version=3&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="360" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>

  12. Robin was definitely a more subtle Janet, but I can't fully hate KC as Janet either. It was one of those rare recasts where I actually really liked both the original actress and the recast.

I agree. Though, I hated the Trevor/Janet pairing. It just didn't make sense after what Janet did to Natalie.
