IKR? If he shows up at the podium one day with a manila envelope, look out.

If another Kent State-like massacre were to occur, I'm sure you'd have Trump ride-or-dies on Facebook, saying things like, "HAHA. Look at all the snowflakes melting. hAHAAaa."

I didn't vote, because I just couldn't bring myself TO vote; and it's a decision, quite frankly, that I will never live down. I won't derive much pleasure from seeing people regret voting for Trump, if only because the rest will suffer alongside them. OTOH, if you insist on sticking your hand on a hot stove despite everyone warning you not to.... I hope so, too, Julia. Like you said, what's done is done. Unless (or until) Trump commits an offense that Congress is willing to impeach him for (which doesn't seem likely at the moment -- although who knows where we'll be a year or even six months from now), I'm afraid we're stuck with him. But my hope NOW is that by the time 2020 rolls around, people will be so fed up with all the drama that they'll block him from a second term (should he pursue it) in the hopes of bringing some stability and civility back into politics. (I, myself, pledge to vote for whichever candidate promises a back-to-basics/business-as-usual administration, regardless of party.)

ALL: They Almost Became
Yeah, can't see Nick Benedict as Lance. Wally Kurth as Tad Martin? Can't really see that either. Now, that I COULD see. Not that Larry Hagman wasn't phenomenonal. But, OTOH, J.R. Ewing might not have become the icon that he was had Steve Kanaly played the part. Honestly, I wish OLTL had thought of him when they recast Clint Buchanan. I just never bought Jerry verDorn as a cowboy, lol.

Did James "Opie" Lankford from my state (OK) speak out against the ban? Now THAT surprises me.

LOL!! (IDK why, but just the image cracks me up.) I'm with Vee: this mess can't go on much longer. Either Trump gives or...I don't know what. But it can't go on.

Not that Sen. Lewis NEEDED to shut down Trump and everyone else who said he was "all talk," but I'm glad he sat with the protestors if only to put them in their places. Civil rights are human rights, and vice-versa. Frankly, we need more men like Sen. Lewis to remind us of that. God bless Sen. Schumer as well, even as some might look at his act as grandstanding. The Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and the U.S. Constitution are not just items you bone up on in order to win on "Jeopardy!". Collectively, they are the contract that our nation's forefathers drew up with the rest of the world. We MUST uphold our end of the deal, ladies and gentlemen, or be held liable.

Isn't it ironic that government employees are being told to ignore what they see on TV when we know how much TV (and Fox News, in particular) is shaping Trump's views and policies? I pray the majority ignore Miller's advice and realize the travel ban undermines everything upon which America was built; and I pray that, no matter what happens, God keeps us all safe, and sane.

If it's true that Reince was on the verge of quitting before Paul Ryan talked him down, then he's probably rethinking his rethink right about now.

Like I said, I'm done with rationalizing with them and their points-of-view. They are hypocrites who cared only about getting another white man as president. Nothing more.

Yes, you do have to undo an amendment. But I will not put it past some Congressman, probably working on Trump's orders, doing just that.

Go back to what JaneAusten said upthread. This could be from the same page in TrumpCo.'s handbook: make some preposterous threat or allegation, then walk it back, all with the goal of creating confusion within the people and distrust with the media. It's a lot like what I saw yesterday on FB: specifically, the suggestion that Trump keeps bringing up allegations of voter fraud in order to get citizens to distrust the voting process and to disenfranchise large sections of this country from participating in future elections. That's why I STILL won't take off the table the possibility of Trump rewriting laws that restrict all presidents to two terms.

I think the former president of Mexico just got Black on everybody. I'd trust the ladies who attend Mama Khan's church over CNN. Forgot to add: The hastag, of course, is the best part. It's such a me thing to do.

I'm with you both. I'm through trying to understand the Trump supporters, and I'm through with getting them to see the light. I'm only sorry the rest of us have to suffer right along with them.

Yep. Seen on one of my (left-leaning) FB friends' posts: "Who's Barry?" "A black guy who used to live in government supplied housing." That moment when you feel the need to defend a president you were critical of against another blatantly racist remark. Thank goodness, though, my FB friend wasn't involved in this exchange. He didn't even call him "Barry," which is something even I have been guilty of.

Steve Bannon looks more and more like the guy you see on the street corner, carrying all his possessions in a Jansport backpack someone else threw away, and holding a handmade, cardboard sign that reads "HOMLESS VETERAN NEED MONEY GOD BLESS". You know, Carl's scenario, which he posted upthread, could happen, but so could investigating Trump's claims and learning that, thanks to voter fraud, he didn't even have the needed electoral votes to win the damn thing. I'm not saying it will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if it did. If he really wants to torture suspected terrorists, he should make them watch his performance on the Emmy Awards with Megan Mullally.

Good. For his sake, I hope they find some evidence that supports his ridiculous belief. Of course, he'll also destroy what little faith we still had in the voting process, but I guess that's inconsequential to that fascist. Yep. Thank you, DD, for bringing our attention to this story. Agree.

I just love that idiot's tweet: "Big day planned on NATIONAL SECURITY tomorrow. Among many other things, we will build the wall!" Uh, you do realize walls are not built in a day?
