MinervaFan I think nex is asking about JE's return to town after leaving Dillon in 2003.

She came back briefly in the summer of 2003 when Dillon was in jail for wrecking AJ's car I believe.

Then she came back in November, mainly because Dillon had been shot by Lucky(accidentally) when Dillon was trying to stop Sage from shooting Alexis.

She also was looking for the cards to the Dead Man's Hand( a story that if it had included more Tracy/Luke from the beginning,would have had so much more potential). I still remember the first scene of them together on the HS,with Skye,Sam,and Scott.

TG/JE even then,had that spark,and there was that moment when Luke was talking about the reason he wanted to re-open the Star wasn't about money,it was about passion.

JE's look was priceless,and IMO she would've jumped Luke's bones right then if they'd been alone and she thought for a moment he'd go for it.

It was THAT kind of moment.

Another wasted opportunity,because TG/JE have ALWAYS had ten times the chemistry of TG/RC.

Anyway, she came back for Dillon/the Dead Man's Hand story.

And she stayed.

MinervaFan to show you what idiots we have running this show,as I said before,Tracy was never told onscreen of what was going on. She was in "Europe",and the next time we saw her,was not rushing to her son's defense as it should have been,but kidnapped by Vinnie in Florida.

And Dillon/Tracy to this day have not had one. single. discussion about it onscreen.

Sucks,huh?

I smell another missing scene.

BTW I'm loving everyone's vids and fics and all.

It takes me a while to read/watch but I'm lovin' it all.

MinervaFan I think that's one of the best Tracy/Dillon scenes ever.

But if you're going to do a vid based their relationship,can I make a creative suggestion that you can keep or toss,whichever you decide:

Tracy/Dillon when they first came back,Dillon was very naive I think,very trusting of his mother and distrustful of others.

In the beginning he was also a darker character,more of a loner,more of a social misfit,more like his mom,actually.

More like you'd expect a kid to be who has a mom like Tracy and spends a lot of time in hotel rooms watching old movies as his main source of company.But as he spent more time in PC he began to see his mother more like the rest of the family did,which is both sad and smart.

Sad because I liked the "close" vibe they had,and smart because well,he was very naive when it came to Tracy until he began seeing for himself what she was capable of.

I wish we'd get past the "my mom is rotten' business,she's no more rotten than any other person in that town,and better than a lot of them IMO.

BUT I don't ever want him to go back to the "will you stop dissing my mom" attitude either,at least not without very good cause.

Anyway,I think their relationship is one that you can almost see(and landmark) the changes in,and I'd love to see the changes and different facets of their relationship.

JMHO.

I think Ned/Tracy/Dillon is the most complex,interesting parent/children relationship on that show,and it's my all time fave,too.

nex there's been several times when they were arguing and Tracy slapped his hair. LOL

I think the time you're thinking about was when she caught Georgie in his bedroom and after Georgie left,Tracy threatened him with military school and a crew cut. LOL

I heard a rumor that all TG's talk about how he'd love for Luke/Tracy to have a love scene,is that TG has been after JE to date him.

She refused,and this last time,right before the Emmys.

He got mad and dissed her.

Okay,so that entire thing I just made up.

But it was fun making it up,anyway.

Speaking of Emmys, its time Jane and Robin were both up there.

Since April of last year,Jane has had as much,if not more,screentime with AG as RC has.

TG winning it and not thanking JE,honestly I really don't care because I doubt Jane is lying around moaning about it.

But yeah,TG winning and not thanking Jane,would be like TK winning and thanking Tamara Braun and NOT RC.

Think about it.

ABout the Emmys....what a waste of a tape. They have always underwhelmed me,always.

Only reason I watched was to see if Tracy was in the "best show" clip(she wasn't) and if TG thanked her if he won.

My tape cut off before his win. So,he didn't thank her.

Meh.

I'm used to JE not getting the recognition of certain other people.

She deserves it IMO,but eh, I doubt she cares,she's probably happy TG thanked RC,so whatever. *shrug*

MinervaFan sorry about being pessimistic sounding about Tracy's involvement in this sweeps,but here's why:

Tracy/JE were on I do believe,just ONE episode when TG took his ten week break last year, just to give you an idea about how they view certain female characters when a man's not around.

Seriously...except for Dillon/Tracy during the monkey virus,can anyone think of any significant solo Tracy scenes in the recent past?

Yeah me neither. We were all like,what happened to Tracy,because Dillon was a suspect in the campus stalkings,and we all knew Tracy would have the PCPD's heads on platters,yet she was nowhere to be seen,then suddenly Dillon told Justus not to call his mom in EUROPE and tell her what was going on.

Did we get any scene letting us even know where she was or why she was there?

Uh,NOPE.

Did we get a leaving or coming back scene?

Uh,NOPE.

One scene in ten weeks.

So,yeah.....I can see them not even showing her until it serves the next plot point.

I'd love to see some of Tracy tracking Luke down,I think it'd be the best part of the whole "adventure".

And maybe they will pleasantly surprise me and give me those scenes.

But...no Tracy in MediaNet pics,not mentioned at all by anyone for spoilers next week.

So that's why I feel the way I do about it.

I'd love for it to be different this time.

Either way,I'm going to be happy to see my girl.

I always am,even when the character is being humiliated,because sadly at least that means she gets airtime.

About the island...Oh, MinervaFan, someone is going to have to write fanfiction about this. As for the outfit...I noticed. Didn't give it much thought other than Ugh. More recycled wardrobe... but it'd be neat if JE or TIIC (I doubt the latter) meant to add subtext.

Another thing...A few days ago, Tracy said that Alice was the only one in the house that hadn't accused her of falling in love with Luke. Um, did I miss a Ned/Tracy scene? Or a Tracy/Alan scene? Or did this all take place offscreen?

ETA: I made a Robert/Tracy banner and am debating whether or not to use it. What do you guys think? (I ultimately want Luke/Tracy, but I could get behind Robert/Tracy for a little bit.)

I'd love for it to be the opposite,I'd love what you suggested,and I'd love to see Tracy rush in and save her hapless husband and the rest of them.

But.......not saying it won't happen,TIIC could pleasantly surprise me. Considering that Tracy has no idea where Luke is exactly,or even that he is still on the Markham Islands somewhere,the chance of her getting lost,and us not seeing her for a while,are fairly good.

I like your ideas though.

And yes that was the same outfit,and while I doubt TIIC are that deep as to remember what she wore for that episode,I wouldn't put it past Jane to wear that as a reminder for sharp viewers like you,and maybe a bit of subtext that yes,now she is finally ready to "run away" with Luke,if need be. )

Can I give a little constructive advice,though?

If you play the dialogue from a scene,I'd either stop the music during the dialogue,or turn it really low so that the dialogue can be heard,because I was trying to listen to the lyrics at the same time I was listening to the dialogue in your clips(I know they were brief moments but just something I noticed.)And since I know nothing about making vids,LOL...I don't even know if it's possible to do that without throwing everything off,but surely it must be?

Oh I understand what Fey is trying to say,and I agree.

Tracy's whole life,and the way the writers treat JE BTW....is totally unfair.

We see it that way because we love her.

Others who don't,would just say Tracy is getting what she deserves.

I think that statement's a crock,because if Tracy has to get what she deserves,I've got a whole list of people I want to see get their just desserts.

So the "she deserves it" argument doesn't wash with me.

Sonny and Jason both deserve to rot in prison,for example,but I doubt that'll ever happen.

Luke spits on the sidewalk,people give him a medal.

Tracy spits on the sidewalk,she'd get condemned by her family at the very least,arrested for public something or other at the worst.

Okay that's an off the wall comparison but I think we all get it. LOL

That's my biggest gripe about the unfairness,not that she doesn't get to cheat(because I don't believe she really would,after all nothing's stopping her right now),but that she gets accused of things even when she didn't do it,and can never catch a break.

Sure people have reasons to not trust her,but still......

Eh,Tracy has been and still is to some degree,bitter ruthless and angry. With reason.

Remember MinervaFan you've only watched since January. Of course you know a lot of her history,so I really don't need to tell you our girl can be a total witch.

It's Luke's presence in her life giving her some kind of purpose since she can't run ELQ ,that gives her the softness and light we've been seeing lately.

Tracy has always been a layered character in the past, and for the most part the audience understood her motives.

With GaP it's different; I don't think they truly understand the character,and they have a tendency to write all the women the same. Tracy doesn't easily fit any mold however....and therein lies the problem. You can't write her the same as anyone. LOL Because she's not like anyone else.

I'm glad I'm not the only sap. I really thought JE/EP were cute. Too bad.

Faithfulness,as eevvilll as Tracy is sometimes,is part of her nature.

She has always had men that cheated on her,and always,always,never cheated back.

I don't see that as pathetic.

I see it as loving and loyal.

Did the men deserve her loyalty?

NO !!!

But that's another story entirely.

Tracy's loyal to them because she doesn't give her heart easily,and when she does...she's just not going to give up on that man,and she's not going to give in to her baser desires and cheat.

I hate that TIIC try to paint her as just another diva who HAS to have a man in her bed.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

She needs love,yes.

She craves it,she starves for it.

But the sex is not love,and Tracy knows that.

She also had to watch her mother deal with her father's affairs,and she saw what it did to her mom.

No,Tracy's not a cheater. And it makes her unique on daytime,not pathetic. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

About JE on "COH" with Elvis....ICAM...she had soooo much more chemistry with Elvis than MTM did.

In that parallel universe where a movie ends but you imagine what the characters might have done after the ending,I imagined Barbara(wasn't that her name?) and the good doc falling in love.

Just wanted to stop in and post a little something real quick (i'm babysitting so don't have much time)!

I noticed something...."interesting" on GH today. While in the freezer and everything Robert kept his eyes on Tracy and had this 'look' on his face, I can't describe it but its making me think that they may just do a Tracy/Robert thing. I don't know, maybe its just me (I tend to over-analyze things)!?

I noticed it too,but I think it was mostly him gauging how much he was getting to Tracy about Luke.

There was some chemistry there,yesterday was the first time I'd seen it.

I liked yesterday. It was silly but silly in an entertaining way,it wasn't meant to be serious.

MinervaFan I wouldn't say it was a lot of Tracy,her scenes were short.

I wouldn't mind a Luke/Tracy/Robert triangle...but ultimately as long as he's going to be shown returning her feelings to some degree,I would want it to be Tracy/Luke.

If they aren't going to write Luke as returning Tracy's feelings,but Robert would,of course I'd rather she be with Robert.

But I just can't see Robert/Tracy long term,on the other hand,even if it's just a best friendship type marriage,I can see Tracy/Luke lasting a long,long time.

About the show,and Dillon,who never seems to quite make it off my list:

Old school Q's were funny without being buffoony and cartoonish.

These Q's have become buffoony and cartoonish.

I want a new writer,one that loves them.

ABout Dillon,I guess it bothers me most when he goes against Tracy, because I never get the feeling he would ultimately side with his mom against Ted Bundy,much less Lulu,or Luke Spencer.

It's partly the writing...old school Q's again,in the past,it was a big no-no not to side with family against outsiders. They could backstab each other all they wanted,but when an outsider was in their midst,they banded together.

Even with the writing however,most Q actors play it as if they do ultimately have one another's backs.

SC doesn't play it that way.

Dillon isn't written that way.

And it just irks me to no end.

Yeah TRacy has done him dirt,but when the chips are down,you better believe she'd destroy anyone who dared to hurt him.

That's their "strange love," but it works.

Yet again I never feel Dillon would do the same for her. HE constantly sides with others deliberately over his mother.

Oh,he feels bad if it ends up with her physically hurt,like when he thought she might have drowned....but so what??

Eh. I just really don't like him most days,and I wish there was a reason for his loyalty to Luke,Lulu,and the family maid.

Then maybe I could understand it,even if I still didn't like it.

No nex4evr you're not the only one disappointed about that.

But...I just don't know what it is.

I hate to blame it all on TIIC.

Because maybe they don't have a darn thing to do with who gets chosen to present an Emmy.

Then again,the fact that Kelly Monaco is co-hosting,makes me wonder......

Not only presenting an Emmy,but if you pay attention to a lot of Lacy interviews/blurbs,they almost always have quotes from TG,or joint quotes from him and Jane,but I don't think I've seen a solo interview with Jane not just about Lacy,but at all,except for once when she first came back in 2003.

So it's not hard to see who TIIC/the mags see as the important one in that relationship.

And yeah,it sucks. Because on her best day,she's a better performer than Tony,and deserves just as much,if not more,recognition.

"Change of Habit",have seen it several times...love it.

Alice...hate her. Want her to die or go away,either one. Leaning towards her dying at this point,she so annoys me.

Robert/Tracy? Hotter than Luke/Tracy?

More interesting? I think they could be equally as dynamic,but not hotter. I'd like to see a "Racy" friendship,Tracy needs a friend.

About the spoiler....until GaP got their hands on her,Tracy was not a cheater.

They made her a cheater with Coleman,which means they will be forever on my list.

If they make her a cheater again,with anyone,for any reason,I will drive to LA and chain myself to the ABC studios and demand a re-write.

I took drama for one semester in college...and I really don't know why I stopped.

I tried out for one play,our production of "Steel Magnolias," and got a call back for the Darryl Hannah character,can't remember her name.

But I didn't get the part.

I wouldn't mind trying out for other things if I had the time.

It was fun,and I actually made the drama teacher laugh.

About Tracy,yeah she isn't on a lot,but are we surprised? LOL

I think though,that we have to be grateful for several things:

That Jane has a job and Tracy is on our screens at ALL,considering how some of the other vets are treated,Jane is probably the best off.

The fact that she's not on 24/7 makes me appreciate her more when I do get to see her.

I posted part three today,no one has replied to the thread yet today.

I have one person I'll email the link to just in case they aren't lurking and didn't see the thread.

As far as City mentions,on SZ they're random.

CesarFaison is a big City buff,and there are others,in fact someone suggested last week Carla should come back(you know,Tracy's former stepdaughter.)

So I can't really point to City references,they're just here and there.

And yeah...five seconds of Tracy I guess is better than none.

Um. I still haven't written my spoiler fic yet,and truthfully nothing is just jumping out at me and I don't feel inspired.

Maybe I really am just too enamored of the character to write about her.

Plus you have all spoiled me with all the great fics,love them,all of them,haven't read a bad one yet.

And let me tell you,I've seen some baaaddd fan fics with Tracy as a character in any capacity.

So,I'll try to come up with something.

But if I don't *please* don't hate me.

It's not that I don't want to,I just....*shrug*

I bought the mag,and if the only thing you're interested in is GH,nah don't buy it unless you want/need to see the article for yourself,but like you said it's word for word on SZ.

Still confuzzled about that SID thing,it's driving me nuts when I think on it.

Well ya'll I was going to post the SID article on Lacy because I thought there was supposed to be one in this issue,but when I checked the mag,flipping through it at the checkout stand, I didn't see one.

I did see a short snippet on them,where TG was discussing his eye injury,(you know the one everyone was speculating about).

Anyway TG said he got it while rollerblading,that he tripped and fell or something,and ended up with five stitches in his head,and that he and Jane came up with the idea to have it happen onscreen to explain it.

But that was all I found on them in the mag...so maybe that snippet was the article?

Anyway,the SOW stuff with them,they share part of the cover,and the person who posted the article info on SZ that I posted the link too,pretty much said it word for word. Cute article though,and I though it was nice they got part of the cover again,they haven't had that since they got married.

The article does lead me to believe Tracy might end up on the island. We'll see. It says she tracks him down,so who knows.

The Robert/Tracy trapped together thing...it might start today,not Monday. But either way,Robert is already on the island by Wednesday,so it'll be a very short plot point.

Kinda weird though isn't it,that it's been almost one year ago exactly,that Tracy was tied up on the HS with Luke,and now she'll be tied up in the Q freezer with Robert?

I wonder if TIIC realize it.
