It is apparent that he is very close to his family and would rather be with his mom than on the tour. I don't have a problem with that....whatever makes him happy. He does have talent even though I loathe his backhand....LOL. He seems younger than his years though...which may affect what he does with his life.

The ratings overall were up from last year. I am glad because the sport seemed to be in trouble after the ratings as of late.

Interesting...the women's semi finals had the highest ratings since 2012. That's a good sign. See if Americans win people tune in. Fed vs Delpo also had more than double the ratings from last year's QF's on the same night. Madison Key's QF match also had a higher rating than both the men's and women's final from last year. I guess all the American women success plus Roger had viewers tuning in this year. So Novak, Murray, Wawrinka being a no show didn't matter ratings wise instead the ratings actually went up without them....LOLOLOLOLOL

Even the doubles finals were a bore.....such great promise and every final sucked. I can just imagine how bad the ratings will be for the finals.

Two weeks only to see Rafa win. What a waste of my viewing time!

It was too short to be dull.....LOL Did it even last an hour? I see there were no camera views of Lindsay Davenport after the match. She must have been crushed. I am curious what Tennis Channel will say later on about the match. And everytime I hear Kevin Anderson speak with a lisp I think of Cindy Brady.

Sloane was a class act on the handshake. You could tell she was telling Madison that one day she'd win one. I picked Sloane in the ESPN poll. The majority had Madison but she had played too well in the semis and I didn't think she could play that well again. She didn't play well at all. She went off course and even tried going in to the net to volley. That's not her game.

Madison sure is stinking up the place. Poor Lyndsey Davenport....

I hope the US women keep it up in Australia in January. I was very impressed. Lawd I'd love to talk to Thiem and Grigor....I don't know how much tennis talk we'd have though....LOL....as Sophia would say...."You'd have me peeling off the ceiling.....LOL. Speaking of Thiem.....I noticed he wasn't wearing his thongs at the US Open but was wearing long underwear...hmmmm.....

I wanted someone new to win it. Like Thiem, Grigor or Juan Martin....seeing Nadal win the US Open is pure zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. He hasn't even had a great summer and his matches in the US Open have been lackluster.
