  1. WIth today's budget, fashion shows at such scale seem totally impossible... unfortunately!
  2. Firstly: I realllllly miss your posts and spot-on assessment on all things B&B! Secondly: All these moments were indeed pivotal. I actually lost my B&B love by around 2011 (with "Aggie" Sarah Joy Brown), yet stayed on a little longer, but dropped out in 2012 even before Susan Flannery and Ronn Moss departed. I did watch Stephanie's farewell, yet immediately tuned out the day after with casual recap reading. I then came back full-time in early 2014 after Thorsten Kaye had joined the show. It was like a second love affair for me because L.A. felt so fresh with some new stories, new faces and gorgeous locations shoots. Sometime in 2018 it all crashed & burned again, but I'm still watching (even though about three months behind now). It's a sad shade of its former glory but still not at all-time lows, IMO. And I love me some Rena Sofer and will continue watching as long as she proves how amazing acting on a daytime drama can be.
  3. I have also #948 as Jan 02, 1991 (and therefore first episode of 1991) - based on one of the most-repeated episodes of B&B: Eric & Brooke's Palm Springs wedding with the hot air balloon ride. #947 was an actual New Years Eve episode (in parts: Spectra gang) which we do not get that often. La Flannery was really a victim of how poorly the daytime community treated B&B at the Emmys until 2000. She was amazing in 1989, 1991, 1996 and should have receiced Emmy nominations int he subsequent years. Only Darlene Conley was able to break this glass ceiling thanks to her one-of-a-kind-personality. Ian Buchanan had the benefit of being a former GH superstar and well-known Hollywood face which helped him to get his Emmy nominations, I guess.
  4. La Flanneryplayed the beats perfectly whiel the story was ruined by the open end/sudden departure of Deveney.
  5. This is cool. Didn’t know that. Only Bobbie & Jeff were REALLY close off-screen as well. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
  6. As I’m always hard to please, too bad that the RTL Lounge recordings come without the closing titles. Bummer! But the picture quality is great...
  7. It's really hard to believe that it is his voice, but I attribute this to 80s synthesizer-ing. It has always been this version of the song I remember
  8. Nikki N is such a god-send! Really looking forward to watch those episodes as soon as I'm done with 1996...
  9. The Judge's name is something like "Victor Tannenbaum"- and the actor seems familiar: Who is the actor - does anyone around here know?
  10. Unfortunately, it seems that we have hit a snag indeed. No new 1990 uploads for a while. But we thought so several times in the last 2 (?) years... and I think Videoland in the Netherlands is still continuing with the classics. So let’s keep our fingers crossedl!
  11. Paging @slick jones As always you are my most-sought source for cast list information: do you have names for - Susan Laramy (CPS) or the judge for the custody suit of Rick & Bridget from May 1996? - or anyone from Barbados? Aaron the police man, George from the Sam Lords Hotel or the concierge? - Some friends of CJ and Rick (one is called Patrick)? - Spectras Bankers Stuart and Bob? - Sly's friends Sandy, Shelly and Tony?
  12. Not sure if it was a contract clause because I think Brad and Bill Bell have always relied on a good working relationship with their top-stars on B&B, so it could have a mutual understanding and not fixed in writing. Heather Tom has been a director at B&B for years as well. La Flannery started as early as 1991 (?)...
  13. I'm watching #2249 from March 18, 1996 right now: Is this Greg Lauren (the soccer coach Nina was datin on Y&R in 1998...) on B&B as Greg, an Insomnia Barista? https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005127/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t416
  14. I have February 21, 1994 listed as an pre-emption for the Olympics. Not 100% sure, though
  15. I think (not sure though) that Lauren&Eric faded away way before and without much explanation. They shared a different attitude towards Rick&Amber but no real break-up happened on-screen. Or did it?
  16. Ah what!? This sounds like tabloid stuff without any substance. Tracey Bregman's contract was not renewed on B&B in Spring 1999 (with Kimberlin Brown gone and she show going heavy into the Amber Moore orbit...). She got a couple of recurring appearances on B&B, but then was unemployed until Y&R called her back as a guest star in May (?) 2000 which eventually developed into a heavily recurring part. The rest they say is history...
  17. I have pretty fond memories of this story because KKL sold the hell out of it and the Barbados location was soooo nice. Though I fear that it lasted way too long and quite a lot lied on Ronn Moss' shoulders and he coudln't carry it. Lauren was pursuing Ridge way before Barbados (her frist "attack" on Ridge was in Nov/Dec 1995), but it intensified again, I think. I'm now reaching late February 1996 and Brooke's world is crashing down because even always forgivable Eric has read her the riot act after the paternity reveal.
  18. Interesting. I think the show was MUST_SEE in 1995 but come fall something did change. I've been rewatching December 1995 till February 1996 now (thanks to the German uploads...) and it is Ridge/Brooke/Taylor plus the rest of them Forresters and Spectras PLUS the twens around Dylan, Michael, Jasmine, Sly, Jessica which give me a VERY BH90210, MP, Models Inc Vibe and feel slightly disjointed with the rest of the show. The show is leaps and bounds ahead from anything 2020/2021 out of the sheer diversity of sets and characters, the structure and longterm story plans, but I don't love it (meaning: 1996). The "ominous letter" twist in January/February was amazing even in the rewatch and the whole Sheila/Mike stuff - though kinda forced - was great fun. Now looking forward to: Brooke on Barbados was a hit, the mercury poisoning of Stephanie, Mike keeping Maggie hostage at the Santa Monica peer, I remember loving to have Clarke back but the story sucked. I loved Grant but this early stories were SH*T and I'm dreading the country music set, Dylan stripping was eye-candy and LOL, Lauren had so much sex appeal. So there is lots to like, but until November/December 1996 it wasn't necessary my favorite time of B&B either. Someone mentioned young Rick: I thought Steven Hartman was pretty good, but the story was kinda blah with C.J. being the bully and him wanting to have his parents reunited (a story told in Bell soaps ca. 1000 times). I'm amazed how spell-binding Landy Albright was as Bridget, though. They did recast basically a second before Bridget's paternity got into question again and she is so cute - and good.
  19. I also thought that many years of learning French finally paid off... LOL Re: the death scene - Tricia Cast was PHENOMENAL. And Jess Walton soooo good as well. How amazing was it for Jill to accuse Kay before (!) even properly mourning her son...
  20. November 2000 - December 2001 should be online somewhere - with Polish voice-overs. I’ve watched these episodes many years ago on YouTube/Dailymotion. Not sure if MarekLogan was the uploaded or another polish fan... episodes 1300-2180 (June 1992-November 1995) are THE most glaring omissions on the www. Minus a couple of episodes here and there and Nikki Ns wonderful gifts these episodes have never surfaced online. It’s unbelievable as it was one of B&Bs strongest periods.
  21. Marla Adams (Y&R's Dina) as Beth is coming up shortly in the uploads around Xmas 1990... The temp Donna is doing the farewell episodes for Donna in March 1991 which is super weird. Then, in 1994 Carrie Mitchum returned like nothing ever happened!? Lane Davies subbed for Ronn Moss in 1992 shortly after the TRIDGE wedding, I think. One of his scenes is Ridge sitting on a plane to L.A. if I recall correctly.
  22. And it was a rather lengthy "subbing". Hunter Tylo was ill for two weeks or so...
  23. Thank you so much! I just noticed that quite a lot of months 1991-1993 look almost complete which is unbelievable. What a treat!
  24. Jake's initial story was really good. Too bad that they wasted Felicia&Jake by putting her with Zach eventually. Jake's return in 2007 (?) was sooo out of the blue, but even moreso how smoking hot the aged Todd McKee was. I think one of his first scenes was making out shirtless with Donna (Jennifer Gareis) in a hotel room. The occasional scenes ever sicne are random but a sweet nod to history. Todd McKee has quit acting a long time ago and seems to be a rather successfull employee with MerrylLynch; and he is has been playing tennis regularly with Brad Bell for roughly two decades. Life imitating art considering that Jake was a a tennis pro. EDIT: just saw #869. I LOVED Julie Delorean. There are some amazing scenes coming up in the months to come with Sally and/or Clarke.
