I think that image is from 1978 and she left the show in 1980. Here's another image I read that Myrtle came on the show drunk and homeless hired by Phoebe to pretend to be Kitty's daughter in order to help split her up from Lincoln. I didnt realize Myrtle was that messed up in the beginning. Oh and that picture of her at the boutique is very Designing Women of her How did Kitty die? How was Kelly different from her? Im not seeing much on her story, just reading that she took up with Lincoln like her twin sister did.

Rachel! She started off as a very respectable pre-law student and its a shame what they ended up doing with her, turning her into a cocaine sniffing murderess who turned tricks to support her drug habit. Thank god they brought her back in the form of Daphne Duplaix who was closest to the original portrayalof the character while using the history of the 2 recasts to reinforce the person she is today. Too bad they wasted her , but I guess at least she was able to maintain her integrity and dignity without written as stupid, weak, pathetic or skanky.

I hated that Malone killed her off, even though I didnt care for the recast. He only did that bc he waanted to pair up his new creation, Nora, with Bo. I hate when agendas get in the way like that and unfortuantely Sarah paid the price. You are right in that she was a good heroine type. She was definetly my favorite of Bo's many pairings.

It says alot about these women bc they are by far the most memorable from the 80s. Id even put Sarah in there. There were so many young women introduced in the mid to late 80s that when I see the old opening I have a hard time figuring out who they were. Mary Lynn, the O'Neill sisters, etc... Gabrielle, Tina, Meagan, and Sarah came on the scene and stole it away. The young women of this generation pale in comparison to them. Natalie, Jessica, Gigi, Aubrey dont even come close. Its too bad they went so far with him in the end. He was a very good looking and charming villian. He could have lasted for years to come as he had an appeal which was very likeable despite his horrible actions.

why would Gabrielle care what would happen to Michael though? I cant recall but what was her connection to him? Were they friends? I did enjoy Gabrielle's fight with Brenda that occurred in that story. Brenda nearly fell out the window...lol and here's the promo for the story

theres a good chunk of it on YT. I liked it. It was good for many of the more popular couples at that time. Jake/Meagan, Cord/Tina, Bo/Sarah. It seemed very much like a Days plot as that show also loved to throw their couples on adventures around that time period Reading up on old storylines, do you know why Gabrielle switched Brenda's baby with Michael Grande's? What investment didnt she have here? I read that the story was panned bc it was a rehash of what Karen did nearly a decade earlier with Jenny Wolek and Katrina but it wasnt executed nearly as good

HUGE Tina fan here (favorite character in all of daytime history) and I loved it. I loved the nod to history. I looked at the Mendorra stuff for what it was; a throwback to history for the show's anniversary celebration. The Mendorra stuff, Waterfall, relationship with Cord and Cain were all classic moments in OLTL's vault. I thought RC did a good job with them. It was very Tina and it was fun. I think overall her return wasnt well received bc she didnt get to interact with the vets that she had worked with before. Almost as soon as Tina came back to town, Viki left. It took her months before she spoke to Bo or any of the other Buchanans. I dont think she ever interacted with Dorian and definetly not Blair (AE never worked with her but she was a rival for the later Tinas). She didnt interact with her brother Todd till the very end either. She spent most of her time babysitting Viki's kids, Natalie and Jessica and the writers used Tess to troll and blackmail her. Tina barely even got to get out of the house as most of her scenes were spent in Llanfair, further isolating her. She was extremely wasted. People wanted to see her with the characters I mentioned, not Tess, Natalie and Jared, 3 characters she didnt even know.

Her hair was awful. Physically I just didnt think she had the right look for Tina as she didnt exude the sexual appeal that was characteristic of the femme fatale that AE so famously played. When AE came back, she played Tina completely different from how KM was. The writing was also different. Tina as up and coming business woman working for Buchanan? That was KM's Tina. Greedy social climbing gold digger was what they morphed her into when AE took over and that was for the better. KM just wasnt nearly as exciting or entertaiining in the role as AE was when she came back
