Kenny boy should not be proud of replacing a union worker who striked with two scabs. It is now clear to me that Cwikly and Ford were the scab HWs. I will not watch their Days. I don’t support or condone scabbing. I condemn it. I take comfort knowing their union considers fi core writers to be the scum of the earth. Their professional reputations are forever tainted. But I’m not surprised. Ken did the same thing during the last strike but paid a hefty fine because of it. This time he waited until Ron’s contract expired so he couldn’t be accused of firing a returned striker. Ron probably figured out who the scabs were and how Ken was using the strike as their “audition”. Once he figured they were running down his clock, he went all-in on Body and Soul.

Thanks. All I have seen of Marlena’s pre-Roman life was that montage of flashbacks of Marlena and Sam when Marlena met Hattie (Andrea) for the first time. The Brady house was shown in 2003 for Caroline’s wake. It was a different set/room though.

Yeah, he surprised Marlena with the house for Christmas ‘97 when she had to pretend to be in love with him. The set was later used for Abe and Lexie. Where did Marlena live when she was married to Don? And before marrying him.

It’s not a penthouse. It’s a townhouse. But even then it still doesn’t make sense. They should just bring back the house Marlena lived in with John and Roman.

What’s so bad about B&S? I haven’t watched in years. I generally like what Ron has done at Days but I stopped watching when he recast Eileen Davidson’s roles. She’s my favorite Days actress of all time and I simply won’t watch anyone else in her roles. I am grateful to Ron for bringing back Eileen as Susan in 2017 (along with the Sister Mary Moira cameo and Kristen and EJ being revealed as alive. I am grateful to Ron for bringing her back for Beyond Salem and Marlena’s possession episodes. I am grateful to Ron for -bringing back Bonnie and killing off Adrienne -bringing back Lisa Rinna twice -bringing back Carrie and Austin on Beyond -bringing back Mimi and giving her a baby with Rex -bringing back Heather Lindell and Jay Kenneth Johnson -bringing back Jack and reuniting him with Jennifer (and their third wedding) -resurrecting Bo -the return of Princess Gina -bringing back Ivan -Brandon Barash -bringing on Orpheus’ twins and naming them -bringing back Chris Kositchek on Beyond Salem and updating us on his relationship status with Savannah -Zach Tinker -A Very Salem Christmas (John and Kristen finally married!) -killing off psycho serial killer Andre -Andrew and Paul -bringing back Blake Berris -the Drew/Shane twist on Beyond Salem -bringing back camp and embracing the absurdity of the show like Back from the Dead and Microchips and Masks -reuniting and remarrying John and Marlena and making them the prime supercouple again -restoring Marlena to her rightful place as the face of Days of our Lives

I don’t like Martha so this is disappointing. Beemer is fine I guess, but I’d rather have Jason Cook. It’s hard to care about characters I used to love once they get a bad recast.

BTW, it has still never come out publicly that EJ framed John for embezzlement. Having the truth come out and EJ going to prison would be a satisfying exit. On a superficial note, I’ve never liked the brunette Abbys. Ashley Benson is still the best Abby we’ve had.

The best part of MarDar was the Carrie/Austin/Abigail triangle. The slap Carrie gave Abby was one of the best!! Rafe/Carrie was extremely stupid and seemed like the writers just wanted Carrie to be the bad guy in a triangle with Sami. I’m appreciative that they never had sex, and that Carrie got pregnant onscreen. I’ll also give them credit for reuniting Jack and Jennifer as well as trying to bring back Tanya Boyd as Celeste. Their day-to-day writing and dialogue felt like old school Days to me. We never found out why Alice was making monthly payments to an account in Africa. Their big story of Stefano not being EJ’s father was so insulting because we saw EJ’s conception on screen, and not just once but twice. Hope and John having gotten married is chronologically impossible. That was their other big story. I did enjoy getting to see The Pawn and Princess Gina again. I give them major props for restoring Stefano’s obsession with his Queen of the Night. They botched Billie’s return.

Maybe Sheila faked Heather’s death so she could place Daisy back in Lucy’s life.

With Sonia here as a producer, I take it to mean she’s out at Days and has been for a couple of months at least, correct?

Days’ 60th anniversary falls on a Sunday next year, so no anniversary episode on the actual anniversary. Then, in June 2026, we get to celebrate Queen Dee’s fiftieth anniversary!! 🥰 They better go all out and bring back Eileen, Christie, Andrea, and Alison. Bonus points if they can somehow borrow Kirsten Storms and Jensen Ackles for a day. Tracey E. Bregman reprising Donna Temple Craig for a couple of episodes would be a great way to bring Marlena’s Don years into the mix.

I never said Ron was bad. I just said I wasn’t a big fan. Perhaps I should have used “superfan” My only issue with his Days tenure is Stacy Haiduk. Other than that, he brought back a ton of my faves and restored Deidre to her rightful place as Queen of Days.

I’m not a big Ron fan but he’s a million times better than Griffith (who has ruined three soaps I loved).

I am glad Ron bounced back with a new job at BTG. Hopefully CBS is grooming him to replace Griffith at Y&R.

Once Johnny learns the truth about his conception it should be followed up with a second twist: Johnny is really Lucas’ son and Allie is really EJ’s daughter.

I really hope John isn’t offscreen for his final months. He should be living offscreen in Salem spending his final months with his beloved Doc. I hope the new writers don’t decide to bring on the much-speculated 1986 baby.

Well if it’s horrible written, why watch? Is she still battling boring old Steffy? Sheila needs a story with Eric…Lauren…even Amber. It would be so funny if Scotty Grainger moved to LA and Sheila instantly dropped Finn 😅
