Today’s FB post by Marlena referred to Maya on B&B as a “transsexual” again. It’s TRANSGENDER. The woman hath not a clue it’s 2025. You’d think kiss-ass Alina would gently correct her.

I remember the soap press reporting exactly that: she was often late for taping and unprepared. Yes, Jennifer Cooke played Morgan differently, but Morgan had grown up and manifested a backbone. She couldn’t be childlike forever. Ironically, Cooke is younger than Vigard. Apparently, OLTL was willing to put up with Vigard…for awhile, anyway. She was recast as Joy.

Harley’s Angels was founded in 2002. It kind of fizzled out as a plot point. Mel was already a doctor and then became a lawyer.

Blake worked for the short-lived Harley’s Angels and wrote romance novels. Plus, she had three small children. And her blog, SPRINGFIELD BURNS! That managing Company at the end was weird.

Beverly is at her most beautiful and best styled there. When I think of how AW wasted her and how her luminous talents could have been well utilized on other daytime shows… Harding loved her. I wonder why she didn’t continue in some form after the 25th anniversary. That one arc could’ve been the renaissance of the Matthews. And Mike and Marianne could’ve easily have been any number of the random young people brought onto the show.

Allegedly, AW was going to cast Mary Stuart as Ada’s fraternal twin, Sada Lucas, and Larry got the hell outta there.

Vanessa and Ed hooked up pre-Maureen. Mart Hulswit was Ed. It was less of a relationship and more casual sex. It never went anywhere and was promptly forgotten after Vanessa became a Saint. Vanessa was very sexual when she was first on the show, seducing Tony as well.

When Holly and Ed started an affair, I about fell off the couch! Maureen never really got over that, and threw it back in Ed’s face when he cheated with Lillian. Holly’s presence at the Bauers after the funeral was odd, at least to me, because she’d been an affair also. Why was only Lillian persona non grata? And why didn’t Holly and Lillian bond over this? And damn! Vanessa didn’t forgive Lillian until the show ended!

Yes. And didn’t Hart accidentally cause Dinah to miscarry by slamming a door into her inadvertently while trying to pursue the Stalker? Something else Holly was responsible for.

Roger was gone. Holly was drinking and spiralling out of control after Fletcher kidnapped Meg. (Sooooo out of character, but Jay Hammer was let go.) I believe that Holly had tried to kidnap Baby Mo before. And I know that Jenna learned that Holly was the Stalker and this somehow led to her and Jeffrey’s deaths in a car wreck. I get your point about Vanessa though. But once Annie found the kids, it had to Reva. She was the Action Heroine.

Anna Holbrook was FANTASTIC casting.
