  1. Yeah, this is not good. It's pretty clear at this point that our democracy is literally hanging on by a thread and there isn't much that we can do other than vote. And even I'm not sure if that's going to be enough. I have this horrible sinking feeling that this is basically a repeat of 2016 and it's only a matter of time before Trump gets re-elected. And if and when that happens, we need to have a back-up plan of what we're going to do after that. I know a lot of people online are vowing to fight the fascist regime no matter what but I think they're crazy and they need to realize that this isn't exactly like the movies. For God's sake, this is real life, not Red Dawn. We need to come up with a system or network to get the most vulnerable and at risk citizens out of this country as soon as they can and get them to a country that will accept them. Because if you're determined to fight on to the bitter end, I hope you realize that there is a good possibility that you're going to die in the process. And if you stay in this country, there is a very good chance that you're going to die a horrible, miserable, cruel death, get shipped off to a death camp or get even deported. And I don't know what's worse. At this point, I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the very worst.
  2. Sarah has every right to act smug and self-righteous, especially when she eventually finds out that Theresa helped Konstantin kidnap her own daughter. I hope she continues to act smug and self-righteous to her all day long. And I also need for Xander to finish the job that Konstantin was going to do and strangle the very life out of Theresa. She is a dangerous sociopath and a menace to society and she needs to be locked away in a maximum security prison for good.
  3. I'm not surprised that Johnny and Chanel lost the baby. I knew that it was coming and I really don't think Ron is capable of doing that kind of story justice anyway. And they really shouldn't have been saddled with a baby anyway, so as sad and tragic as it is, this is a major relief. But with Johnny and Chanel no longer having a baby, what's even the purpose of Felicity now? Or is she just going to be a token character used as a prop for other people's stories. (Oh who am I kidding? Of course she is!) The less I say about Theresa the better. The evil irredeemable sociopath needs to be off my screen soon.
  4. Yeah, I really don't see that happening, especially since Holly has been upset about Theresa opposing her relationship with Tate and she also has been giving Nicole a pretty hard time. It actually would be a lot more interesting if Holly blackmails Theresa into allowing her to see Tate or she's going to tell everybody about what she and Konstantin did to the will and about her lying to everybody about Alex being Victor's kid.
  5. That actually would be fine if Theresa wasn't acting like a massive hypocrite and still committing all sorts of crimes and concocting horrible schemes to get money. I'm sorry, but today's scenes with Theresa just fell flat for me and I just don't buy that she actually has any love or concern for her son. Even if she does, she obviously loves money more over anything else.
  6. I highly doubt Allie is going to be involved in a relationship with another woman ever again; I never really bought her as someone who would actually be attracted to women anyway, much less be in a relationship with one. Chanel is a lot more believable but unless she and Johnny break up I don't see her getting involved with another woman ever again.
  7. I agree; they need to find a suitable recast for Sami and bring her back. As much as I don't really care for her, she's obviously needed on this show and they can cut a lot of dead weight to make room for her.
  8. I'm pretty much expecting Tate and Holly to be having a baby by this time next year. I mean, what else are they going to do with them anyway? At least hopefully Theresa won't be around to be a horrible influence on people. Also, isn't anybody sick and tired of Theresa already? Why is Ron devoting so much screen time to such an unlikable and awful character like her and also expect us to even care who she even ends up with? Her downfall and exit date really cannot come soon enough for me!
  9. Eh, I can kind of see how her personality might sort of rub people the wrong way and she can be a bit much at times, but that's fine. At least from what I can see on her social media and interviews, she actually tries to be a decent human being and there are so many awful and horrible people in this world as is and she's a fresh breath of air in comparison. And like I said before on another post, I don't think Theresa should be a long term character anyway, especially with the writing that she's been given as of late. She needs to appear for brief pop-in visits every once in a while and meddle in her son's love life. Don't forget that she is also raising four young kids all under the age of 10, with her youngest being about 2-years-old.
  10. I also think that Jen would've made a pretty solid Belle but I'm glad that she wound up playing Theresa. I do know that a lot of people have complained that Theresa doesn't really act like somebody who's supposed to be Kim and Shane's daughter, but that's the fault of the writers that never really bothered to explain why she turned out the way she did. I always felt that Theresa should've been portrayed as a flawed heroine who struggles with a lot of massive trauma from her childhood and Jen would've rocked that part and she just doesn't really work as a villain especially since there is no plausible established explanation as to why she's that way.
  11. I won't be surprised if that could be largely due to the way he was raised in California. Maybe Theresa wasn't as good of a mom as people might've thought and she probably might've been neglectful or emotionally distant on some level because she was either occupied with her fashion company or maybe with some other guys. Honestly, I'm glad that he has utter contempt for his mom because she really doesn't deserve his love and affection and I hope after she gets exposed that he completely turns on her and wants nothing to do with her ever again and he just decides to remain loyal to his dad because his dad is actually a good person.
  12. Ah, man, that is so cool! This was a great clip. I remember watching it on YouTube many years ago and I was really sad when it got taken down. Fortunately I have the clip backed up in one of my laptops and some of my hard drives somewhere. I really wish that you didn't cut off the clip at the part where Lee basically loses her crap and starts trashing the room. That scene is so hilarious! Hopefully somebody finds that part and posts it on YouTube someday. I'm also going to go see if maybe I have that clip downloaded and backed up somewhere too.
  13. I would've been perfectly fine with Theresa using Alex to make Brady jealous and then maybe along the way she develops real feelings for him and she becomes torn between the two. If Ron had just focused on that, it would've made for a decent story. But by reverting Theresa back into a scheming gold-digger, he not only created an extremely convoluted story with a bunch of holes that made no sense but he also threw away whatever character development she did manage to have. Anyways, at this point it doesn't even matter. Theresa is going to be around for at least another month or two and when she's eventually exposed, she's going to be out of the show and there is no guarantee that she's ever coming back for the foreseeable future, if ever. Brady is probably going to end up hating her forever and Tate might be more than happy to never see his mom ever again, especially after learning about all of the horrible things that she has done over the years. We still don't really know just how involved she was in Tate's upbringing and what his childhood was really like before he got SORASed. For all we know Kimberly might've been the one who took care of Tate most of the time and Theresa might have been a mostly neglectful and distant mother that was solely focused on work and a never ending string of men.
  14. This actually would've been a lot better if he had actually teamed up with Vivian and they would've schemed to acquire the Kiriakis fortune while basically using Alex as a patsy. Vivian actually has a well-documented history with Victor and she would've had a much stronger and plausible motivation to go after the fortune and try to oust Maggie from the family. Theresa could've been in an entirely different storyline where she would've tried to reconnect with Brady while dealing with Tate's teenage angst and his puppy love story with Holly. It's all just so stupid and dumb. I won't be surprised if everyone forgot this story even happened a year from now; I don't see too many long term ramifications playing out aside from maybe Theresa going to prison for a while and the entire town washing their hands of her permanently, including Brady, Maggie, Alex and Tate. Also, Xander doesn't seem to care about the fortune anyway and he never even had a great relationship with Victor while he was alive, so what exactly is going to change for him? Also we're obviously supposed to feel sorry for Alex for being screwed over by Theresa and Konstantin but he's such an awful and obnoxious scumbag that nobody cares what happens to him and many fans are awaiting his downfall.
  15. I would love for Ron to write his female characters with some degree of human decency and not as outright shrews or psychopaths but I really don't think he's even capable of that.
  16. Well that would definitely explain why so many female characters on this show are god-awful.
  17. Oh don't worry; Theresa's day of reckoning is coming. She's going to be exposed sooner or later. Hopefully at the very least she's getting prison time and is sent away for a very long time and with pretty much the entire town disowning her. But if she does decide to go on the run, hopefully she doesn't come back for a very long time, if ever. I think like they did with Sloan the authorities are going to put out a warrant for Theresa's arrest and that's when she decides to leave and go on the run.
  18. My God Theresa continues to get worse with each passing day. I really can't wait for her to get her comeuppance and for Brady, Alex, Tate and the rest of the town to completely wash their hands of her and have nothing to do with her ever again. She is so vile; it's pretty obvious at this point that she will never truly change and she just isn't capable of it. Whatever; I hope after she leaves town she dies off-screen somehow and Ron won't have to write for her ever again if he doesn't want to because it's pretty obvious he hates writing for her.
  19. I can't believe that they just threw Theresa and Brady together out of nowhere. This just feels like a plot point so that Brady would feel shocked and horrified by Theresa's betrayal and the two of them are going to be at odds again. Also I won't be surprised if Theresa never has scenes with Tate ever again. I think Ron wants Theresa to be nothing more than an unrepentent golddigger.
  20. If his writing is as bad as it was before the strike, it's probably only a matter of time before many people start tuning out again. I really don't see myself sticking around for long. I think I'm pretty much done with this show.
  21. Well, it's still pretty early, but I have a feeling that as the summer progresses, we'll get a better idea of what her exit story is ultimately going to be. And I still think that Tate is going to be extremely upset with Theresa and he's going to decide to cut all ties with her altogether along with Brady, Alex, Maggie, and possibly the large majority of the cast. But if for some inexplicable reason Theresa does end up sticking around beyond the summer, she might end up staying near the DiMera orbit especially if she remains a villain for the foreseeable future, (probably forever). She's going to need some allies especially if she's going to possibly lose Brady and Tate forever anyway. On the other hand, I hope the rest of the good people of Salem are on to whatever future schemes she has and they don't somehow get dumbed out just to give her an unfair advantage, but you never know with Ron though...
  22. I definitely think that it's possible that Patrick Mulcahey was spearheading the whole Drew going into politics thing but I also think that Elizabeth Korte was also mainly driving the whole Drew/Nina affair because she seems like the type of person that would relish at the chance to humiliate and belittle Nina whenever possible. For Nina to just immediately jump into bed with Drew when she was so desperate to try to save her marriage to Sonny never really made sense to me; I think it would've been a lot better if Nina had actually walked in on Ava and Sonny kissing or otherwise being in a compromising position and she was so shocked and taken aback by the horrific betrayal that she decided to go running to Drew for comfort and that's when they ended up having sex. It was basically missing one or two steps. Then later Nina could confront her suspicions to Ava about her true relationship with Sonny and then that's when they would have that big blowout fight that ends their friendship. If Patrick really was intending to write an actual romance for Drew/Nina somewhere down the line, I would really like it if at some point Drew actually took the time to apologize to Nina for what he said about wanting to beat the living daylights out of her if she were a man and acknowledged that he basically went too far. That would go a very long way for me to eventually get around to accepting the relationship as legitimate, (begrudgingly). However, with Patrick now being gone, I suspect that now Elizabeth Korte is going to deviate back to her original storyline of Drew pursuing a sexual affair with Nina as part of an elaborate revenge scheme in order to bring her down once and for all, which would eventually lead to Nina's official departure from the show. And if my theory about what that Casey person on Twitter was alluding to is actually correct, then I'll bet my money that Nina is going to be gone by the very end of the summer and perhaps Willow might also play a role in her mother's eventual and final downfall. Just my two cents.
  23. I'm pretty sure that Theresa is going to get exposed very soon. I don't know why she isn't getting exposed at the same time as Konstantin though, (does Days really think that viewers are invested in that dumb and boring love triangle with Theresa/Alex/Kristen? Also Brady really doesn't seem interested in either Kristen or Theresa anyway, so I don't really see what is there to milk or exploit. At any rate, I'm looking forward to seeing her entire life come crashing down and for her to lose everything forever and for her entire life to be permanently in shambles as she disappears into prison, never to be seen or heard from ever again.
  24. So this is like what, the second or third time Nina's dad has been mentioned in the last couple of weeks when he hasn't been mentioned in well over a decade! And he has a name, (it's Dan; I know, pretty lame). So is there a particular reason for this or is this leading into any kind of story for Nina or what?
  25. Nina was pretty awful when she was with Sonny but she really isn't that much better in Drew's orbit. I feel like the writers are only using her as a prop for Drew. And we all know that her latest plot to win back Willow is going to ultimately fail anyway, as always, because Willow will never love Nina the way Nina wants her to.
