  1. For something called Galore Mag, doing fine prop work with a cigar.
  2. Carlo Rota is an absolute ham but he cracks me up. I love how annoyed he is by these Port Charles rubes getting in the way of his nefarious schemes.
  3. Is anyone else starting to get the sense that Cody is the one creeping into Daisy’s nursery? They’re using him a lot all of the sudden now that he’s gone recurring, which is usually a sign that they’re about to write someone off altogether. Is he channeling his star-crossed love for cousin Sasha into a weird obsession with her baby? Would the show go there? Speaking of Cody, when Molly showed up at the Qs’, I suddenly couldn’t remember if the two of them were just friends or dating or weirdsies or what. Same with Brennan and Carly. And Emma and Gio. This show’s stop-and-start approach to romance is so frustrating. Finally, why was Kristina only opening the bar when it was already dark (in summer) and Marco and Lucas had finished dinner? It’s not as if Charlie’s is some bottle-service nightclub that doesn’t open until 10—we’ve seen them serve lunch.
  4. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more content-restrictive medium than soaps at this point. There aren’t many other acting jobs where you know you’re not going to be asked to simulate extreme violence or sex, appear nude, or use graphic language. To ask for additional restrictions on top of that is really bizarre.
  5. I did not realize Katelyn had that in her. Willow is a weak, damaged character—raised in a cult, easily enthralled by sleazy men—but we’ve never seen her unravel like that. It was a genuinely upsetting scene, and I admire KM for reaching that level of intensity in, I assume, the usual single take.
  6. On the cover of the Singapore (sure!) edition of Esquire
  7. I’m ready for Portia and Curtis to divorce and get it over with. Portia cheating with Isaiah would make for a fun love quadrangle with Jordan.
  8. Today’s episode was the first time Sasha’s been interesting since the one-night stand with Michael.
  9. Tracy’s tossed-off line to Drew about being out of ketamine made me LOL. I feel like some funny gay guy is writing her one-liners lately.
  10. The writing for Liz and Lucky is indeed terrible, but if JJ signed a one-year contract he may be gone in a couple of months anyway. Perhaps they’re just cutting their losses.
  11. You’re really starting to see panic in the other actors’ eyes as they watch him struggle to get through his lines. There is a shot in yesterday’s episode in which Swickard is standing behind Mo while he drones on and on, and the younger actor is clearly doing everything he can to hide his “WTF” face.
  12. Agree that today’s ep was a lot of fun. Lulu has some goddamned nerve, lol.
  13. A little bit of GH talk in this Elle magazine “Hollywood Rising” issue interview with Nicholas Alexander Chavez.
  14. Every time they do a Nurses Ball red carpet it breaks the (already precarious) internal logic of the show. I get that some of these people are local public figures but, like, is Carly famous? What are all these media outlets covering this event? Are we supposed to believe even Port Charles’s local affiliates are airing *live* coverage of this event? Who is watching this? Why are Nina and Drew being interviewed even as they’re hosting? And so forth.
  15. Hello, Cosmo centerfold
  16. The lack of specificity around what illicit goods “the five families” so desperately covet “the waterfront” to import really undercuts the stakes here.
  17. I imagine Brad will blow through all the money in a year and come crawling back, just as Portia warned him not to.
  18. Looking hot at a couple of events in Miami this weekend
  19. In other Nicholas Alexander Chavez news: he’ll be at the Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer appearing opposite Pamela Anderson in one of the less often-produced Tennessee Williams plays, Camino Real.
  20. Lol. Are we sure we’re not getting her back? Wasn’t she pictured on the set recently?
  21. Just a brutally boring episode today. Watching the show rearrange itself around the Sidwell clan is making me very uneasy.
  22. Zach Tinker (ex-Sonny, DAYS) shows up briefly in ep 4 of the Hulu miniseries Good American Family as the teen version(!) of Mark Duplass’s character in flashbacks.
  23. Exactly this. The Cassadines stole Ava’s divorce settlement. And then Kristina terrorized and threatened her. They deserve whatever hell Ava rains down on them, and worse. Sonny too.
  24. Oh my God…arguably the stiffest nepo hire in Frank history, and that’s saying a lot.
  25. Fox Sports showed Nicholas Alexander Chavez at the IndyCar Grand Prix in Long Beach yesterday, in case they ever get around to making Days Of Thunder 2 and Tom Cruise needs a son (or grandson).
