  1. Right?! I wish we had all three characters on a regular basis again.
  2. I agree, especially any time soon. Right now, the show has three leading ladies in the same age range that have all lost their male leads: Marlena, Julie, and Maggie. Out of three, I would say Maggie would be the best one to experiment with having a new relationship. Julie will continue to work well as the Horton matriarch. Marlena- similar with her family, but she also has the hospital stuff she can do. Did we ever find out why Marlena was having those weird dreams??? Or did that just get dropped?
  3. I loved seeing Kate/Phillip/Lucas interacting today. All three actors have great chemistry with each other. It'd be great to have Lucas back even if it's regular recurring. Every Christmas Horton ornament hanging, I find myself wishing that we got more Hortons on the regular.
  4. That's an interesting point. I wonder why they never brought Lucy on full-time especially in the later seasons when Dallas didn't seem to know what to do with her. It would have been a great way to cause conflict between Val and Gary in a very natural way. Lucy could have stirred up all kinds of potential trouble.
  5. One of the biggest headscratchers was building up the character of Steve Brewer as Claudia's son and as Greg's brother/nephew. So much potential, and then they just randomly killed him off.
  6. I started watching as a teen around season 10, and I had the hugest crush on Patrick Petersen. Even then, I found it perplexing that they couldn't come up with more for him to do. I feel like the show had a hard time, besides Nicolete Sheridan, in grooming the younger generation for big stories. Michael, Olivia, and Eric were all positioned to attract a younger audience as the years went on.
  7. I agree. I would have liked to have seen Ari there as she has had almost zero interaction with her Horton side, but overall, it was a great episode.
  8. Y&R, which I can only tolerate on occasion at this point, should make a new rule for the writing staff. The following words can no longer be used: take over, merger, CEO, COO, launch, etc etc. Anything regarding these mind-numbing business "stories" and I use the word "stories" loosely needs to be cut. Any time I switch the show on for just a few minutes, it's just people sitting at a restaurant or the coffeehouse droning on and on about some random company and taking it over or destroying it. Who the hell on staff thinks this is interesting to a daytime audience???? It's truly head-scratching. BTG- Has good bones, but I need them to pick up the pace a bit and give us an OMG moment we didn't see coming every now and then. B&B- Lost cause. It's practically a cartoon at this point, and that's an insult to cartoons. DAYS- Please, please ditch the sci-fi stuff. I could care less about who EJ has in some chamber in a secret lab. To me, DAYS excels when it focuses on family drama and romance and not bizarre sci-fi campy stuff. GH- Only started watching it regularly this year. While not perfect, it's honestly the most entertaining of them all to me right now. I'd love to see Liz in a major story...and more Gio shirtless at the pool, like this past summer, thank you!
  9. I thought the character of Doug III had a lot of potential still...the bad boy with a good heart. The role just needed a recast to find an actor who was a better fit. I'm back to sort of watching most days for months now. The show still needs work, but I agree that it's in better shape from what RC left it in. I loved a lot of Ron's stories the first few years, but then it just went waaaaay too far into crazy sci-fi and all Dimeras all the time .
  10. I'm starting to get worried for BTG, too. The demos are what brings in the advertising dollars. I've said it before, but the show has just been so slooooow for weeks and weeks now. They really have to start picking up the pace and have more interesting story beats. I feel like nothing has really happened for a very long time.
  11. I think I'm leaning towards Scout being the shooter. I will say that even though GH has its problems, it's practically Shakespearean compared to B&B.
  12. I agree that the promotions for BTG seem to have decreased, and I think those weeks of repeats messed with momentum for the show. That being said, I've gone from being a daily viewer the first six months or so to maybe once or twice a week now. And, when I do tune it, it feels like absolutely nothing has happened since the last time I watched which isn't good. There was all that build up to Winter Fest, and then nothing happened there. It feels like everything has been in a holding pattern forever. I want this show to succeed so badly, but it has to pick up the pace and have more exciting beats within each storyline and some twisty cliffhangers.
  13. It's awesome to see him shining in this new role. Y&R way dropped the ball where RG was concerned.
  14. I wonder at what point characters that aren't clicking will be finally written out. I think the actress that plays Ashley is actually a good actress, but the writing for the character just isn't there. My brain also dies anytime Derek appears.
  15. It's so awkward watching the actors that are playing Noah and Sienna in love after watching them play mother/son on Days. Did none of TPTB think that might be a little odd for some viewers? And, why couldn't they have given Noah a love interest around his age? There is almost no "young" in "The Young and the Restless" at this point. Almost every single character is middle-aged and older. I do think BF and CK have great chemistry! How refreshing it would have been for BF to be brought in as a brand new character without the Cane baggage.
