All of these incessant questions.  Try going to youtube and developing an opinion.  What I think and others think won't necessarily jibe with your thoughts.  Also, maybe read the threads where your questions have been discussed ad nauseum. Just suggestions.

I live outside the USA I don't know about you but i have to dig A LOT to find anything at all of most soaps, so this community was a blessing to me

I think from what I have read that this was not written as 'true love' story.

Karen was always presented as wanting more and using Larry to get it. Usually in these types of stories there is a more suitable match for the groom somewhere along the way for the audience to root for. After the marriage Larry and Cathy Craig became involved but Cathy left town.

Really Larry should have learnt not to marry women named Karen...

Yep Cathy Leaving was one bad move, one would think she would eventually come back

Thanks for the explanation. Too bad the entire storyline isn't available to watch. It sounds fascinating.

Yeah aside of some random clips and episodes, I was doing a playlist with everything I could find of OLTL during it's first 25 years if you want I can send you the link but it's nothing extraordinary I still gotta dig further

    Reena estava no último episódio.

Em uma das cenas finais, ela estava em um avião se preparando para deixar o Texas e Grant apareceu para impedi-la.

    A cena está no youtube

Ok I'll search thanks, hum got a surprise yesterday I searched for Carla's episode on Charlie's Angels and found out someone posted the whole thing in YouTube if anyone got some nostalgia

Now this is an adorable picture. The only time I could imagine Cecile with a cat is if she was petting one like a Bond villain. 😂

Isn't she sweet??? But that's not Cecile That's Tara Martin Nancy's Main role before Cecile! Funny Enough she left the role of a sweet ingenue for a heartless manipulative vixen, Stephanie Braxton made something similar once she left the role of Tara Martin she played deranged killer Winter Austin in EON

  5. Truth be told Erica was left on Limbo, She was probably shot on the Final Cliffhanger and we never knew how it ended, except by hearing some comments from GH

And I think most people also hated the 2005 storyline in which Erica's aborted child turned out to be Alive, ruining a 32 year old legacy for an absurd story really??? oh please

In 1995 Tara Came back to town was there any meetings between her and Erica???

And finally wasn't it weird of Erica thinking Greenlee and Kendall were having an affair?

  6. I realized a small fun fact Sherilyn Wolter (Elena) played Taylor in B&B and Lane Davies played Ridge both for a short time with the right timing from siblings they could've played lovers!

Lane playing Ridge made me realize the scripts on B&B are pretty inferior to SB

"Dark Shadows" had a countess too -- Josette's aunt, Countess Natalie du Pres.  But that actually sorta made sense, as she appeared in 1795, and she was from Martinique.   Nonetheless, she was just Grayson Hall in a big hat with a deck of tarot cards.

I never could quite grasp where her title came from.  Her brother, Andre du Pres, didn't seem to have a title, which indicated she'd married a count, perhaps, at some point.  But she used her maiden last name on the show.

Yeah it was one big hole in the plot but I understood she was married to a count and during the revolution she lost both him and her title? But she insisted in still being called countess

By the way the Mendorra storyline was any good?????

Isn't it ironic that Jenny, the ex-nun, was married four times (Tim, Brad, Peter, and David), while her sister Karen, the self-titled "common whore", only had relationships with two men (Larry and Steve)?

Yeah made no sense to me, one thing was Tim whom she loved ardently enough to give up her vows but the rest? No need

As for Karen she literally prostituted herself right?

About the real-life pregancies of actress Susan Lucci:

The first time that she was having a baby, it was written into the script.  She was married to Philip Brent, and he had bought her a house (which was later purchased from her by Myrtil, who turned it into a boarding house).  Erica lost the baby, but she would not accept that she had miscarried.  She had Phil to bring her bed into the living room of the house and kept talking about when the baby arrives.   Eventually (when Ms. Lucci actually took a maternity leave), it was decided that she was too deluginal and would have to be placed in a sanitertarium for mental patients.  When she was released, it was feared by so many that Philip (who had tried to be a good faithful husband to her during her time of not knowing that the baby was not coming) would hurt her by telling her that the marriage was over and she would relapse.

On the second time that she was taking a maternity leave, Erica moved to Hollywood, where she was sure that she would be in demand as an actress and movie star.   She eventually returned to Pine Valley as a very disinchanted person.   She said that everyone out there only wanted her to remove her clothes or to sleep to get a role.

Yeah baby Erica gotta smell the coffee some time

  10. Now here's the 64,000 Question:

Who was The Best Myrna and where I can find some video proof in English (Italian is just not my best language)

    Carolyn Jones (Morticia Adams) (1982-83)

Marla Adams (Belle Clemens and Dina Abbott Mergeron) (1983)

Or Marj Dusay (Pamela Capwell Conrad, Alexandra Spaulding and Vanessa Bennett) (1983-87)

If I recall correctly, Hunter Tylo had taken time off in 1994 to do a mini-series called The Maharaja's Daughter with Bruce Boxleitner (now there's an 80s blast from the past) and Kabir Bedi. B&B wanted to capitalize on that mini-series so the show brought Bedi in for this SL arc.

Yes that's right I found it on YouTube recently then I made the connection.

By the way Prince Omar was so nice to Taylor it was so weird she preferred Ridge who usually was so pompous and Arrogant, I mean you got a Prince who's madly in love with you and you change him for your sex-crazed ex?

Taylor the Desert Princess was not one of B&B's best stories. It was cheesy and offensive.

Y&R cashed in on the Charles/Diana wedding hype with the London concert and ball in July 1981.

I know it was weird but Taylor looked Stunning in those Arabian clothes

    That I didn't know!

Ad for Texas in the May 15, 1982, issue of TV Guide featuring Reena, Grant, Judith, Mark and Ruby.

I was kinda curious about the Reena triangle how did it unfold??? Was it before or after the Bet?

I thought this ad for the premiere could benefit from some additional editing to the copy

If they made Texas for Beverlee they could at least give her a better photo

Loved the additional information you said it all!!! Pity Carla Borelli never got much attention after Texas was over Reena grew to be my favorite Character, I wish I could see her tenure in DOOL

  14. I don't know if the public would be happy at either Eden or Cruz moving on but if one of them was going to do that would be Eden, as I just saw the Elena Storyline it's easy to see he wouldn't be moving on for a considerable time, Eden on the other hand was more practical in those matters, anyway the worst mistake was pairing Cruz with Kelly, that was certainly an atrocious move

Don't forget Princes Richard and Edmund of Guiding Light.  Or, try to forget them and preserve the good memories of GL. (lol)

The daytime budget rarely allows for accurate context for royal stories.  There's never enough staff, the palaces are usually just one room, and the jewels never look real.  For example, think of the E! show The Royals, it was fun, but it looked like they lived in a mcmansion compared to Downton Abby.

That's true Soaps usually don't have the budget for accuracy they want the glamour of it all but rarely have the money to show it, i remembered another that Arabian Prince whom Taylor Married in B&B
