I coincidentally looked him up on IMDB earlier today, and saw he died 5 years ago. Had no idea. Yes, they have a Story of Breacon playlist up and running now. Good clear images too!

For a little while there it was counting that folder as having 25 files, so I thought perhaps it was like ghosting, there but not there. Then it went back to 23 files. So you probably did upload but somehow it failed. Thanks so much for re-uploading!!!

4.30pm has been it’s main timeslot in Australia for quite some time now, however it’s had a variety of timeslots here. It started at 1pm following Santa Barbara. After a couple of years they both got axed due to poor ratings. There was an outcry for B&B’s reinstatement, so it returned late at night at around 10.30pm…it must have done some OK numbers for that time (or they got complaints), as it was then moved back to an afternoon slot of 3pm, where they even showed double episodes for a while (as we started 8 months after the US did). From there if memory serves, it may have even gone back to 1pm for a period before it got moved to 4.30pm, where it’s rated pretty well for its timeslot (it even gets an encore the following weekday at 7.30am!). They also trialled it at 6pm over the summer a few years back where it surprisingly bombed…I thought it might have done well there picking up an evening audience, but up against the News on other channels, it just didn’t succeed and was moved back to 4.30pm, where it’s stayed ever since. Viewing numbers have come done ever since they started fast tracking the episodes to 10play, the network’s on demand service. We get it at the moment at 9am AEDT here on 10play, the time just depends on daylight saving both here and in the US, so sometimes we get it at 7am and other times of the year at 8am.

I also picked up this time around that Caroline treated Thorne quite horribly too, stringing him along for months on end without a sex life while fantasising about Ridge. I think my youth and inexperience of life back in the late 80s blinded me from that side of Caroline. I adored OG Caroline the first time around, rooted for her against Brooke. This time around I saw the nasty side of her, which shocked me. She treated Brooke quite poorly (some deserved of course), and the way she spoke to Stephanie sometimes made my jaw drop. Really rude, high and mighty princess. This time around, I’ve been rooting for Brooke, even though I knew what would happen with Ridge. I guess after 34 years of watching Brooke, she had gained my loyalty due to the time spent with her compared to the little time with Caroline in comparison. So my view of Caroline did change. Although I still cried a little when she died a week ago in my re-watch! 😭 Oh and I don’t remember thinking Jake MacLaine was anything special looks-wise, but OMG he is gorgeous this time around! Maybe I did find him attractive, but I just can’t remember! Easily one of the best looking men in the show’s history. Hubba hubba! 🤣

It would be nice to know "who" specifically told soapwikijohn to not post videos here as it may alert us as to where the issue is coming from so we can avoid problems? I don't think people are being unnecessarily uncalm...it's the idea that someone is apparently policing this, and could put an end to this, that's the concern.

As an example of what I’ve said above about people speaking openly about the vault on YT, there’s an Antonia Chapstick (in the comments of the YT link you provide above) telling people to go check out her About page on her YT page to get episodes for free (in reference to Gilson selling them for money). When you click her check out Twitter link, it takes you straight to the Vault’s Twitter page. I worry if I can do this so easily and follow the bread crumbs people lay for others, how easy would it be for someone who works for B&B to do the same and shut the Vault down?

Sadly I think that’s what happens when people continue to discuss or reference “the vault” on YouTube. It’s a real shame someone has come down hard on you? I have concerns the vault will be shut down if people talk about it so openly on YouTube, and people like Gilson continue to profiteer so openly and gloatingly on YouTube which highlights where he’s getting the episodes. Thanks for you efforts though. It’s a real shame given the beautiful quality of your recordings. I think the only thing we can reasonably count on if the official YouTube channel honours their word is that at the rate of 3 episodes posted per day, we should have the first 18 seasons available to watch within 4ish years. It’s just a real pity they don’t upload them in great quality.

What does everyone think of the dating they're giving the Season 1 episodes on the official YouTube page? It's as though there haven't been pre-emptions yet in 1987, but there surely would have been some along the way? To me it seems like they're just assuming the dates without preemptions? Thanks.

I’ve just finished 835 in my in order re-watch! The build up to Caroline’s death was just as gut wrenching as the first time. Joanna Johnson never looked more beautiful with her longer hair in her last couple of months’ worth of episodes, until they went with the sudden grey makeup in her final episodes. To this day I still think this is the saddest death of them all. Interesting that they filmed Sally Jnr getting her diagnosis the same way Caroline did, with the silence and view from outside the doctor’s office…until they retconned the writing and made Sally well again. I didn’t remember that they quickly dispatched with Caroline from the opening credits immediately after her death, and added Taylor in. Usually the show can take its time adding in new or returning faces.

It was one of the repeats shown during the covid production shutdown…Lauren vs Sheila…We also got it on TV in Australia.

For anyone who likes B&B memorabilia, this is quite the Italian curiosity - a rip of a promo audio tape for the "Beautiful" soundtrack. Brings back wonderful memories of summer in 1990 in Capri - the end theme (which is the middle track of the 'LatoB' file) is just beautiful and has always given me goosebumps...it's such a melancholic sounding piece. Very true! I think 125 from memory is similar so need to check that one when it’s published. At the rate of 21 episodes published per week on the official channel, they are going to release around 1000 episodes per year, so we should eventually have those glory years.
