I had the sliiiightest expectation for her to mention skin tone when she listed how she herself benefits from privilege. But I guess that would have been a third rail.
Lol. I didn’t have such expectations because the show is awful.

The conversation probably would have hit harder coming from Amanda and not Billy. CK and her portrayal of Lily has benefited from colorism more so than any character/actress I can recall.

Lol. “Let me know”. You mean tweeted out to everybody? Eileen states in her tweet she doesn’t know who Linda is.
Lol. That was shady, but totally Eileen. Love her!

It’s very weird seeing a normal Tricia Dennison on the show. Lol
Ash Bashioum was very powerful her first year on the show. Wish she got more opportunities like this her last year or so on the show.0 -
I think Y&R was only preempted for 20 minutes or so last week Monday. Regardless, they have lost more viewers over the past year than any other show.

GL- started watching maybe mid to late 90s when Annie was crazy. I loved the Dinah/Hart/Cassie story. Danny and Michelle was cool too. I stopped watching maybe around 99 when the Reva and San Cristobel story was going on. It started to get too bizarre and tedious for me. I also hated when Josh and Olivia got together. I may have tuned in sporadically in the early 2000s.
ATWT-started watching maybe around 98 during Margo/Tom/Emily fiasco. I’m sure I watched earlier, but I don’t recall when. Watched intermittently during 2000-cancellation mostly if Tom and Margo had a storyline.
Bold-around 99, maybe earlier. I know most of my memories of the show started when Amber was pregnant by Rick and the escalation of the Brooke/Tridge triangle. Followed intermittently in the 2000s. Stopped watching altogether around 2006 before the introduction of the Logan sisters. Missed the introduction of Liam and Bill Spencer.
Y&R-my mom watched during the 90s, but I really didn’t start paying attention until 2000 when Billy and Mac became a major story. They are my favorite soap couple of all time. Followed the show sporadically between 2003 until 2007 after Dru was pushed off the cliff . Came back in 2009 when they recasted Mac and Billy. Followed online until 2010 and then stopped watching until quarantine and then the classics. Not currently watching at the moment.
GH- I think I started watching sometime when Sam’s baby with Sonny died. Watched for a few years until maybe 2008 or 2009 while in college. Started watching new episodes in August, but I’ve stopped again. Too many new faces for me.
Passions- started watching in 2000 or so. I didn’t really pay attention until maybe 2002 and watched on and off for a few years, but it became too repetitive. I wasn’t watching during the finale.
OLTL- barely watched. I did like John and Evangeline for the short period I did.
I probably watched small segments of AMC and PC.

Josh doesn’t care about Amanda’s backstory. It’s all filler lol

Sounds like someone’s source got it wrong. Too bad.

Jason Thompson is a great actor, but he's too old for Billy and wrong for the part.

Anyone who looks closer to late 30s and not over 45 pushing 50. Im still surprised they haven’t pushed him out yet for BM...not that I actually want him back, but he makes better sense casting wise than JT.

Even as a kid watching it with my mom, I didn't understand why these two women who hated each other so much were constantly showing up at each other's home to talk! lol
My favorite though was one time when Esther told Katherine that Jill had just showed up at their house, and Kay said, "That's funny. I didn't hear her broom pull up."
This is funny. They didn’t need to make Jill/Kay mother and daughter to end their rivalry. Mac and Billy’s relationship should have been used as the peacekeeper for these two.

LOL @Vee MAB & Co. never ever had an original thought ever! Almost all of her stories were redos and ripoffs from previous Y&R stories, while Sheffer recycled his trashy ATWT and Days stories while Hamner(he did not inherit his father Earl Jr.'s talent at all!) borrowed elements from movies and primetime. In addition to the above, I seem to recall Cane/Caleb's death was ripoffed from The Untouchables, Kevin and Chloe's courtship was a blatant ripoff from Pretty in Pink(they even called themselves Andie and Duckie!) and Victor and Genevieve were originally planned to do An Affair to Remember before it was thrown out last minute.
Perhaps the only original story the three of them told was the volcano story. It also probably remains the worst story ever screened on Y&R.
That’s so bad. At least she tried despite the shoddy results. I would take all three over Josh.

Boring! I may watch Bold if I’m home, but I will pass on Y&R indefinitely.

Doesn't this happen every few years? Can they bring back people who haven't had on and off stories over the last decade?
That would require Josh to be creative and think past the year 2013.

Lol. I can only imagine what her and Peter Bergman think of this mess.

This is great news. Eileen is needed on the show. I wonder what’s going on Jess Walton.

I wonder if Bold will overtake Y&R at number one soon.

Oh boy. Not good. These are cancellation numbers across the board.

Isn’t Ed Scott still at B&B? He has done a tremendous job with that show. He’d be a gift to Y&R but I think that ship is sailed. I honestly don’t know a name that I’d look to for Y&R.
He sure is! Bold maybe repetitive, but the show still looks presentable and like a Bell soap.

Anthony Marino is awful, but I doubt Ed Scott or David Shaghnessy is walking through the door anytime soon sadly.

I wonder if they want Dansby input to help with the upcoming Nate/Devon/Amanda/Elena quad. Sounds like a CBS here because Josh barely cares for that group.

I took a peak at a few scenes on YouTube due to boredom, but when did Sharon Case’s voice become so harsh? She sounds totally different compared to 10 years ago. I wonder if she had a nose job that changed her voice quality.
The music cues are awful. The younger crowd is mediocre. Still refusing to watch live.

I doubt Josh could write for someone like Mac as portrayed by Ashley B the way the show is currently constructed. She’s too normal for the current audience.
Not sure who uploaded 3/23/01 in the vault, but it doesn’t have any sound. Not sure if this was intentional or not.

The only one that resonates me with is Bashioum, and she's not coming back. If they had a strong known soap actress in the role I suppose you could reconceive the character, but all the post-Bashioum actresses in the role seem weak or bizarre.
I’ve never understood why they struggled to recast Mac. Bashioum was my favorite, and I could only dream about her returning. I would actually watch the show again if she did. I assume they would go back KK if they brought the character back. I didn’t mind her in Bac 2.0, but she’s more of a vanity pick based on how the show is branded nowadays. Maybe she would work in the right dynamics.
