    Rekindled maybe Spixie? (Spin/Maxie)

Oh right.  Someone saw them filming at The Savoy set for the Valentine's Day episode.

    The SOD 2024 preview said
"Maxie/Spinelli: Maxie and Spinelli are growing closer, not just because they're sharing quarters, but the fact that Maxie and Spinelli moved in under false pretenses thanks to Felicia's scheming is a ticking time bomb that may come back to haunt them."

  2. The B&B stuff is probably Luna's paternity? and definitely the Emma stuff.

The Days stuff for Valentines day: the scavenger hunt and Johnny/Chanel wedding we already knew. Jarlena romance is eternal.
The only spoilers are the breakfast surprise and the ring.

    The GH stuff -
Sprina in Paris is this week which is in the daily spoilers.
    The looming threat is new.
The return is Jason of course.
    The rekindled romance? Don't know.

Y&R is what already aired in January as everyone said above-thread.

  3. The TV Guide print magazine comes out only every three weeks.  Plus it is sent out early in the postal mail.  This new regular feature of a soaps column that began after SOD shut down ... doesn't really work in this model.
Due to the timing logistics, whatever soaps spoilers they print are either vague, what we already know, or have partially already aired.

Following the prior pattern, this will be reprinted later on the tvinsider.com website, each soap having its own article.

he was [likely] involved in the exit of Jonathan Jackson's Lucky.

I read that theory elsewhere, recently, too.  Do anyone know for sure?  Was Lucky written out or did JJ choose to leave?  If Lucky was written out, was it Mulcahey's idea or was it from someone else on the writing team or producers?

  5. Jon Stewart returning to the Daily Show
(hosting once a week to help make sense of the 2024 election)

    And as executive producer.

    https://www.vulture.com/article/jon-stewart-the-daily-show-return-2024.html

Starting February 12, Jon Stewart will host The Daily Show every Monday to see the show through to the end of the 2024 election cycle. The show’s team of correspondents will share hosting duties for the rest of each week. Stewart will also serve as an executive producer and help the show decide on a new, more permanent direction.
    (on Comedy Central)

Edit to add an fyi:  For Canadians, it will stream the following day on ParamountPlusCanada

"The move comes after Stewart prematurely exited his Apple TV+ show, The Problem, following creative differences between the iPhone maker and its host over potential topics and guests."

GH had Grant Putnam and Grant Andrews, which ended up rather ironic in that Putnam had been the victim who was replaced by Andrews (an international enemy agent) but Putnam ended up becoming a psychopath while Andrews turned into the good guy.

I remember this!  It was so convoluted.  This was before VCRs and internet, and I didn't have soap mags, and nobody I knew watched soaps, so I was trying to follow along by myself and figure it out while it was airing.  He's the bad guy, no *he* is the bad guy, no wait, what? Oh!

  7. The above Brighton interview is wonderful.  Highly recommend.

(Fairman was emotional and repeated himself a little, but it seemed (to me) that that was him speaking less as an interviewer and more as a viewer, still deeply moved by the Bobbie memorial with "Angela" Brighton in the episodes.  Then he would recover for a minute and speak as an interviewer.)

    Brighton herself is amazing.

She deeply remembers her time on the show a child actor.  She was on the show since she was a baby so maybe doesn't remember the first few years but certainly remembers several years of her time there.  She says it's one the most important things in her life, despite it ending 39 years ago.  She had a single mom and she had siblings in the business, but the cast and crew were like her family, too.  To come back and see so many veteran actors and some crew/staff still there - was so familiar. She said everything looked exactly the same but felt smaller in size, since she is now taller than when she was a child, LOL.

She remembers her time working as a child, vividly, and Jackie, and Brad Maule.  So many things that we as viewers remember,  that you wouldn't expect a child actor to notice, she remembers!  Specific scenes, etc.

Brighton said it was great seeing everyone again, and they were surprised/happy to see her, too.  Brighton said that when she was a child, she'd watched Zenon (The Disney films that Kirsten Storms appeared in) !!! - and was happy to meet Kirsten because of that, in addition to the more important relevance that Maxie has BJ's heart. She said Kirsten was great and helped her orient.  She said that Maurice Benard gave her a rundown on how filming happens nowadays which was helpful.  Seeing Lynn Herring and Kristina Wagner again, getting to know Ryan Carnes, etc. etc. etc.

She said she didn't want her return to be about her. She wanted it to be about Jackie. While she was filming the recent episodes, she could have spent time socializing more, but instead chose to keep the focus on remembering Jackie and honoring Bobbie.  This was meaningful to her.  She said it was spiritual or something like that, but didn't want to label it specifically.  She liked that it was open to viewer interpretation.

    Just watch.  She's amazing.

  8. Despite the stalling of storylines, I didn't mind Van Etten and O'Connor.
At any rate, they should get an Emmy for the Bobbie memorial.

As long as we don't go back to the Carly/Jason/Sonny show, I'm okay.

I liked Sarah Joy Brown's Carly causing trouble and working her way up from hardscrabble, as part of an ensemble cast.
I don't want Carly as the *lead* of the show.

When I say Bill & Susan Hayes, I think of the phrase with no separation between the words. If written, it would appear as Billandsusanhayes.

I had the opportunity to see them up close and unguarded due to our professional and personal relationship. During any significant moment or event, it was each other’s eyes they sought out to share the experience. It could not be fully enjoyed until it was shared.

Their deep and abiding faith made them pillars in their church community. Bill and Susan’s belief included action, not just providing emotional and substantive support. After 50 years of lending his voice to the Chancel Choir, he was honored by the church with the retirement of his choir robe and a permanent plaque that reads: “The Bill Hayes Chancel Choir Loft.”

Whether sharing tales of their large family, their extensive travels, or plays made by their oft-disappointing Dodgers, they built on each other’s stories until a rich and entertaining visual was achieved.

Many will speak of Bill’s unparalleled voice, not just the quality but the emotion contained within. When being greeted by Bill, you could hear the smile contained in your name. “Billy, Dee’s here.” “Deeeiiidddrrreeee!!” I’m not describing it well, but anyone who knows him will be grinning at the memory.

Regardless of where our last conversation ended, Bill would pick up the next with: “Say, how did your monologue work?” “Did you try that curry restaurant?” And, always: “How’s your SISTER?!?”

Many years ago, clearly having no idea personally, I asked Bill, “What makes a marriage work?” He gave it much thought before saying, “In all the years I have known Susan, she has never given me an insincere kiss.” It was not a casual response. I understood it to mean the constancy of sincere devotion. Upon reflection, it is the glue that held them together. It is the deep and demonstrable love and affection for each other and the life they had created.

Yes, they taught us how to love, and it was truly a Master Class.

Bill Hayes was the most loving and generous man I have ever known. Anyone lucky enough to have spent time with this gentle man, would surely agree they were “changed for good.”

I brushed up on recent GH history due to checking hte show out for Bobbie and I have to say the combination of Kiki, Willow, Nelle, Esme and Sasha confused the hell out of me. They all seem to fill the void of each other. WTF the show was just cloning the same 2 characters and blending them? I thought Sasha was a Nelle recast and thought Esme was Willow in her scenes

I've read tons of posts here saying the same, LOL.

  11. I'm hard of hearing, so I appreciate that Peter Bergman always has excellent enunciation.  I never need closed-captioning when he's speaking.
That said, it does seem a bit too deliberate and might make his normal lines seem like overdramatic speeches.  But I don't think he's intentionally speechifying.

I've notice that Michael Mealor does almost the same thing, in that his vocal inflection is similar.  It's as if he's trying to speak like his Kyle was raised by PB's Jack.  Mealor is really good at that.

But lately Kyle has called himself "Smilin' Jack" and that doesn't quite fit.  His messing around with Audra was more of a Terry Lester Jack move, and not a PB-Jack move.... But if Mealor's speaking and emoting style were more TL, then I might buy him as "Smilin' Jack".
But this Kyle is just too preppy and buttoned up, like a young Cliff Warner.

I kind of wish they'd named it Ruby's, as Bobbie would have loved that. I wonder how many newer viewers even know Ruby.

The dialog Jan. 11 was that Bobbie hadn't been a "teenaged prostitute" as she'd been labeled for decades.  Carly commented that actually Bobbie was underage and was trafficked, and Carly said that even though Luke and Bobbie were close siblings, Luke didn't protect her.

Carly said these issues weren't understood back then, but there is better understanding now.

One of the points of that episode was that Bobbie's work in Amsterdam was that she was rewriting the narrative of her past by claiming the truth and helping women in the present day.

And well ...  didn't Ruby run the brothel at one point?  Was Bobbie brought into the industry by her aunt?

So with with this new writing of the last chapter of Bobbie's life in Amsterdam, I think it's fitting that it not be called Ruby's.

Maybe women who are starting over could rent rooms upstairs?
