I could be wrong, but the way SR plays it makes me feel like Maggie knows what's up.

It’s similar to what happened with Gwen.

The way that she’s delivering her lines makes you think that she’s figured out the truth already.

Having Maggie be aware of what Konstantin is up to might have been a good idea -- MONTHS ago.

Why play it out this long? Why wait? It's been mentioned here countless times that they're stalling stalling stalling until Ron returns. If that's true, it's the lamest and most irresponsible way to run a soap I have ever heard.

Ehhh… I still think it’s better than Maggie being dumbed down, which I kinda feared that Ron was gonna do

  2. Johnny and Chanel deserve a better storyline than radiation sickness.

I’m glad Eric is finally getting a job though lol people on here are 100% correct about him. Him being a bit of a selfish deadbeat seems unintentional, on the part of the writers, but I hope that that aspect ends up being used to somehow cause conflict for him and Sloan.

As for Maggie, I’m convinced that she knows Konstantin is full of crap and playing him. I hope I’m not wrong, or that it’s written in a way that dumbs Maggie down.

    LOL!!

Speaking of OLTL, I'm genuinely surprised that Frank Valentini has yet to find a way to bring Andrew Trischitta (ex-Jack) onto GH.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there were plenty of other OLTL actors that Frank approached to play roles and they told him no 😂😂😂

  4. The Johnny/Chanel/Paulina is so unnecessary. Paulina might be impulsive but she’s not stupid.

The aftermath of the press conference was pretty good though. I like how so many characters and storylines are involved in it. And even though it would have been better if Nicole had had her conversation with Eric, I liked the Chad/Nicole scenes. They have a pretty good friendship and I enjoy their scenes together.

Xander launching an investigation into Stefan could be good as well, especially if it continues on after he finds out that he’s Victor’s son.

  5. I’m still not sure what to think about the WGA awards. In 2022, Days won for that Craig and Leo garbage.

But they definitely deserved to win for 2023. Those episodes were some of the best of the year. It just sucks that Days makes a lot of bad decisions when it comes to the writing. Bad decisions that are clearly choices.

The show wasn't in the top 10 today.

It never is on Mondays. It’ll probably be back up there tomorrow.

  6. Yeah… Johnny and Chanel’s honeymoon was a total letdown, even though Chanel going missing could be interesting. And Johnny did look hot too 😂😂

EJ being the villain could be interesting as well. His actions today could lead to conflict between him and Nicole, which could in turn, lead to conflict for Eric and  Sloan. And could also stir up trouble for Brady/Theresa/Alex/Kristen.

Good dynamics and story arcs are always introduced in episodes, but they’re often forgotten about. Hopefully, today will be different.

I have to rant about Eric because he is the biggest jerk when it comes to women.

After demanding that his son's christening occur at the mansion of his ex-lover, this week, he learned that his wife has been late on paying the rent.  Did he question why he doesn't add to a shared bank account with his wife for household expenses? Nope.  Did he beg his wife's forgiveness for not contributing equally to the rent? Nope.  Did ask his father to pick some extra shifts at the pub in order to earn his keep?  Nope.  Did he head over to the newspaper and offer his services as a photographer?  Nope.

He interrogated Sloan about how her spending habits have led to them paying the rent late.  Once again, making her defensive for not being responsible for fulfilling his needs.

I’m hoping that all of that, combined with Leo’s blackmail, drives Sloan to drink or have an affair with someone. It’ll add another layer to this storyline and it could have an effect on the character of Eric as well.

    Ava's other son.jpg

This is Mike Manning, DAYS Ava's other son Charlie, and he posted it on TwiX with a caption that it was his birthday so here he is in his birthday suit. Naturally, I immediately thought of y'all!

Oh God, I miss him 😍😍😍

  9. So, Johnny and Chanel’s honeymoon getting interrupted was a total let down. And an out of character one, for that matter.

    I don’t get it.

I somewhat understand stalling some storylines until the strike is over but I don’t understand why you would add more layers to some and do nothing for others. I wonder who made this decision.

Thomas stealing John’s trigger card could be interesting though. And if it helps rid us of Konstantin, then I’m all for it. Maggie was smart today too, so I hope she continues to do that.

Btw, green card marriages are still a thing?

  10. Finally, a Holly/Maggie scene… that was ruined by Konstantin. Guy is so totally unnecessary and I hope Maggie wakes up. This storyline, along with the rewrite, and the change between Ron’s writing and the scab writing has made it too convoluted.

Same can be said for the Everett storyline. I’m still hoping he turns out to be a villain. That’s the only way that this storyline could make sense.

As for Holly/nuTate, they do have chemistry. And I did kinda love it when Holly called him a dork 😊😂😂

Leo Howard plays Tate as a lot more laid back and easy going than Jamie Martin Mann did. But he did pretty well today. I do agree though that the Johnny part of their storyline did seem to end abruptly through. I don’t mind Holly realizing that she has feelings for Tate and getting over Johnny, but it happened way too quickly.

I remember the suggestion that they couldn't start with the early 80s because they didn't have all the tapes, but the idea that they were missing tapes from as late as early 1987 is blowing my mind a little. I wonder what the retention and cataloguing system was like because it was certainly common to have flashbacks to earlier events in the early/mid 80s. Most of the time they were pretty recent events (within days), but sometimes they were further in the past than that and they must have had a system to locate the clip they wanted.

I could be wrong, but when I was rewatching 1986-1987 on YouTube, those final two weeks of the storyline were the only part that wasn’t included.
