  1. Less than 2 weeks till the 20th anniversary!!!! 😍😍😍
  2. The focus on Miller, Muhney, and Stafford was my least-favorite part of MAB’s run, which is what made it so easy to stop watching when they fired Tricia Cast. Also, I liked Sean Patrick Flannery’s character. For me, that was the best of her casting former primetime and film actors.
  3. Whatever happened to Molly Stanton? I was a huge Charity fan. After that show with Sara Gilbert, Molly dropped off the face of the earth.
  4. I hope it gets renewed...ANYTHING to keep BC off GH...
  5. I recently watched the Luke and Laura rape scenes and it was clearly rape. I can’t believe they were able to spin it as a “seduction”. They should have played out the original story of Luke being killed off and kept Tony as a Luke lookalike.
  6. I never watched B&B but my grandma did. I vaguely recall Lauren standing up and objecting to Eric and Sheila’s wedding. Did this happen? Did I imagine it? If it did happen, did it air on B&B or Y&R?
  7. Thank you!!!! What a fantastic post!! ❤️❤️❤️
  8. I liked that she undid Jill and Kay being mother and daughter. As to Jill being a Fenmore, I think MAB just looked at which characters on the canvas didn’t have siblings and landed on Lauren. I really would’ve preferred that Jill turn out to be Liz’s daughter after all, although I didn’t mind the fun dynamic between Jill and Lauren. I also loved that Nina finally reunited with her long lost son, but Ronan’s first exit implied that he wasn’t a son and had just scammed them to get a kidney from Chance (I think that’s what happened). He left a note that said “suckers” and then took off. I guess when they brought him back they decided to keep him as Nina’s firstborn. MAB also loved to cast former primetime and B-movie stars in guest roles. It didn’t annoy me as it did others except for the unbearable Sean Young as Meggie.
  9. I loved all the doppelgänger stuff. I didn’t like the retcon that Sheila had a sister or that she had kids with Tom since they only met in 2005. But I’ve fanwanked it that Sarah was the real mother of Daisy and Ryder, and she wasn’t Sheila’s sister but instead a crazy friend from nursing school. I wish they’d kept Cane dead. I could’ve accepted DG as Caleb. Never liked Cane. Naive me, I thought Cane would be written out when Phillip returned. Instead it was the other way around!
  10. I’m not a troll. That’s a term people throw out when they don’t like another poster’s opinions.
  11. I’m the victim here. Other posters have been attacking me. Yet I remain nice. Thank goodness for the ignore list because it lets me weed the good guys from the bad.
  12. Well you’re right, I’m not used to dealing with mean, rude people. Who hurt you?
  13. YOU think they were doing just fine. That’s only your opinion, not a fact. Soaps in general only became interesting when they added supernatural elements. Before that, they were boring trash where characters just stood around talking. That’s why the best soaps of all time are Passions, Sunset Beach, Port Charles, Dark Shadows, and Days. Eboneece refereed to PC fans (of which I am one) the “lowest common denominator”. That is an insult and there’s no disputing that. Instead of defending the bad guys, defend ME.
  14. Are you insulting me? That’s rude. I’ll take the high road though, and won’t stoop to your level. You’ll just be added to my ignore list. ☺️ Port Charles became a great soap when it embraced the supernatural and sci fi. All soaps are boring unless they have supernatural or sci fi elements.
  15. Port Charles was awesome during the Tainted Love book in the summer of ‘01.
  16. When I think of the Hall twins, I think of Deidre and Andrea, but to each their own.
  17. Oh, I adored Reese!! I looooooved when Seth took over the role. I love when real life twins share a role. It’s like catnip for me.
  18. Travis’s naked butt can be seen in season 2 of The OA.
  19. Of course you would. 🙄🙄 Someone should’ve let me know in advance that SON is a Passions/JER hate board. Gnat was the KeMo of PSNS. Sleepwalked through all her scenes. Andrea Evans had to carry her sad, sorry ass. Liza was perfect at playing an evil, arrogant, rich bitch. I constantly wanted to punch her for all the terrible things she did to Theresa. When I found out Gnat was gone and Liza was back, I did a little happy dance around my living room...lol
  20. Wrong. Passions was a pop culture phenomenon and always popular with young people. Welcome to my ignore list.
  21. Yep, because JER outshone all of those ass clowns.
  22. Someone please tell dragonflies that she’s on my ignore list. An attack on my favorite soap is an attack on me.
  23. Passions haters needn’t be posting in this thread. I don’t post in the lame GL or my ATWT or AMC threads. I hated those soaps so I don’t feel the need to talk about them. I’m just glad they’re gone. I enjoy myself in silence.
  24. Neat, John. The show still ran for 9 successful seasons and was the last time young people were interested in soap operas. ☺️
  25. JER was a soap god. He was better than the “greats” like Bill Bell, who was boring AF. JER knew how to give good soap. Passions was always entertaining. It defined my teen years and early 20s and will always be a part of me. I am glad Ron is at Days. He has given me the JER 3.0 I expected but didn’t get from MarDar. Days is back to its true self finally!
