    Aww it wasn't THAT BAD....LOL :D

I didn't think it was bad at all! Crossposting from the GH thread - with WL's performance, I genuinely saw the pain of a teenager reacting to a loved one dying rather violently (mind you this character has gone though SEVERAL losses over the last few years). I also find the comparisons to WR's performance unfair - with WR, I just saw a classically trained actor who got lost on his way to a Shakespearian Theatre and ended up on the GH soundstage.

I was bawling during that scene. It reminded me of a friend’s similar reaction to learning his dad died IRL when I was young. Very raw. But YMMV. Agree that RH was great.

This show had Summer find out Kyle had a child and he had been lying to her and Summer forgive him all in the same episode?

Where is the drama? Seriously, who writes this way?

It's JG's way of setting up Summer and Kyle to be the next "it" couple. It's also his way of setting up both characters to be the noble hero/heroine from their age grouping. It's obviously not working.

Where can B&B cues from 2000's be found? I assume they were never released. There was a specific

cue when Sheila kidnapped Ridge in South America been trying forever.

How was this OLTL cue used on Y&R?

If you can find a clip from OLTL that has this cue that would be great. As far as I know, this was an original for Y&R composed by Allocco, Kurtz, and Guitto and those three were exclusively composers for Y&R up until 2012, which would prohibit the use of this cue on an ABC soap from a licensing standpoint, unlike in the example above as Gary Kuo composed for both Y&R and Loving so music rights are a bit more flexible especially considering Loving is off the air.

Perhaps it's possible the arrangements were very similar sounding.

Some people are lobbying for that, which ok... probably more palatable than nearly septuagenarian Jack perving over someone in her early 30s, and it makes sense for Sally to go after Summer’s dad. I just can’t get excited over anything Nick.

I think "Sallick" is a more flexible ship term open to many interpretations. 😅

What does Nick even do? Does he have a job? What does Phyllis do?  Do either of them have homes? They seem to spend all their time in the lobby of that dumb hotel talking about Summer and Kyle or Victoria and repetitive flirting. Neither seems to have much of a purpose anymore. No significant jobs, no rivalries, no friends, no homes, nothing resembling a story.

Beyond being MS-Phyllis' cheerleader/gigolo, he seems to remember that he is a father to a troubled teen once in a while... That's pretty much it.

The worst was Phyllis on Y&R when she lost that Phick kid. I don't know what MS was doing (and she goes OTT more often than not) but that miscarriage of "blueberry" was so horrible and such ridiculous scenery chewing.

Damn, you beat me to it! I saw the title of this thread and immediately thought of that scene LOL. MS as Phyllis during MAB's run was pretty much insufferable ("MY HUSBAND, MY HUSBAND!" or basically her stammering the same lines on repeat). MSPhyllis now isn't nearly as irritating as she was back in 2012, but I credit that to the writing, or lack thereof. My only criticism of her Phyllis now is that she is constantly portraying her as if she had just done 10 shots of tequila straight right before getting on set 😅😅

God I miss Gina Tognoni. She knew when to ham it up and when to be subtle.

On Y&R: Pretty much anything Brenda Dickson did on the tail end of her run. It's fun to watch but the acting style definitely didn't age well.

On B&B: Shoutout to KKL when she had to deliver the "I FRIGGIN FORBID IT!" with such conviction in 2008.

On GH: Grayson McCouch's version of Agent Kyle Sloane. MW as Ava can also ham it up sometimes but I personally find it endearing to the character.

I always have to agree that anything post 2003 was when the show really started to tank...even though I almost want to say like Y&R maybe  after 2005ish even.

1989-1995 are probably the best years for me, but overall 1987-2002 the show was solid.

I've always likened Taylor's second death to signify the death of B&B as we once knew it.

I'd have to say Y&R lost its must-watch factor after Tricia, Ryan, Matt, and Malcolm left the canvas in 2001/early 2002 as 2002 seemed pretty forgettable. I've been watching the Y&R 2003 playlist on YouTube and it feels like a completely different show production-wise from 2001. 2004 was pretty strange too, however 2005 was overall a pretty solid year (no surprise why they chose so many episodes from that year to air during the classics marathon).

  8. I have uploaded the 2000-2004 Playlists from the Y R YouTube Channel to the Vault!

Some of the 2003 episodes are missing as there were corruption issues while I downloaded it, and have since been blocked on YouTube. I'm putting my focus on those playlists as they get updated. Hopefully we will get more of 2001 and 2002. 2003 looks very promising so far.

  9. Is anybody actively downloading/archiving the clips being uploaded to the Y R YouTube Channel?

So far I've been doing it and I've uploaded January and February 2003 to the Vault. Quite a bit of my files have had downloading issues/corruption issues and I've already lost a few of the episodes from March and April and can't re-download them since YouTube has blocked them, rats!
