This one is freaking hilarious. The gang gets stuck at a porno shoot with bad guys, and hijinks ensue. There's also some extremely dramatic Nikki moments. I know this one has been on YT before but this one doesn't have subtitles at least!

 

 

 

October 3, 1997

Nina pulls a gun on Tricia, then confesses to Ryan the gun was meant for her. Tricia Cast is awesome.

 

 

September 10, 1998

Jill crashes Katherine's gala to serve her papers for ownership of the Chancellor Estate. Another classic with great views of the backyard and the rooms of the mansion.

BTW I've been meaning to ask if there an easy way to see what's new? All the folders seem to be dated by when they were created. The new files do have a flair to show they're recently uploaded, but one would have to open all the folders to see that... or am I missing something?

Not sure if you're able to see this on your end (or if you need to login with your account), but there is an info button that can be expanded.

Hey everyone! I'm beginning the process of backing up the OneDrive locally in case anything happens to the account. I'll be doing this periodically (I'm thinking monthly).

I will be adding to my signature a "Date Last Backed Up" section so in the event I have to migrate the files to another server, it'll be easy to see at which point some pieces went missing.

Thank you everyone on here for contributing to the Vault as we affectionately call it. With everyone's cooperation we are one step closer to having one of the biggest shareable Y&R collections that can be accessed online.

It's a dull and grainy mess, and the aspect ratio is off haha. Even Y&R and B&B's episodes from the 80s look way better.

I actually loved Whip Jones and I thought it was stupid for Brad Bell to have Taylor suddenly fall in love with Ridge again. He's was a quirky but charismatic male character that brought an interesting dynamic to the canvas.

Fun fact: this was around the time frame I noticed Katherine Kelly Lang had her face lift/blepharoplasty (there's a noticeable difference in her appearance between episodes 3614 and 3619).

These two images were taken within a month from each other.

Loved JY as Rick. JT wasn't bad but I couldn't stand KL in the role (though I do like him on his DOOL roles infinitely better).

Somehow we got two episodes featuring Daisy but none featuring Tricia Dennison. Or Matt Clark. Or Veronica Landers.

Jerry Douglas definitely had work done around this time, definitely blepharoplasty. Here are some images from the 1986 classic from yesterday and the 1987 classic from a few weeks back. Notice how the eyes were much more hooded in appearance and the bags more pronounced in 1986. Bags have definitely been reduced by 1987 as well as the eyes containing a more pronounced eyelid fold. Very common for this to be done, I believe Hunter Tylo had this done in around 1998, Eileen Davidson around 1999, and Katherine Kelly Lang in 2001.

It looks like the frame rate was dropped from 60 fps to 24 fps.

On a side note, I've always had an inkling that Jerry Douglas had a face lift in the mid-late 80s - but I didn't realize they wrote it into the story!

Musically speaking, I don't miss how cheesy and campy the cues were composed in this era. Made intense episodes like this seem a little too over the top, even for Y&R.
