As for Sally, she has literally done nothing since she arrived. Now, as someone who likes her, I find that too bad but "Sally is worse than Phyllis" is one special kind of character fandom. You like Phyllis: good, enjoy her! You wanna dislike Sally because Phyllis dislikes Sally? Fine, that's great! But let's not be delusional about what is or is not happening on the show.
Phyllis tried to commit murder at least twice (running Cricket/Paul over and the Sasha fire). She doesn't behave like this anymore but there are very few, if any, "worse" people in terms of track record on the show right now.

Nothing here was said but the TRUTH

And DOOL is worse, to be honest. I use to defend Frankypoo -- thinking Ron's influence clouded the show. But now I know he was equally week.

I'm inclined to believe he already did :)

I only started watching bits of DOOL because of Tamara Braun, and I agree that the colour-grading on that show is definitely way too warm/yellow LOL. Apparently only CBS can hire decent colour-graders. 😅

Secondly, what is that blueish hue in each scene? Due they just not know Davinci Resolve is free?

I've felt this way about GH's colour-grading style for YEARS (it wasn't this way pre-FV). It has infinitely more sets than Y&R, yet it is a very cold soap visually.

He should take notes from Brenda Dickson. 😅

  4. It's so hard to take anything Peter says seriously when the acting is so ridiculous. Like, today, he just intermittently out of the blue, takes on some sort of really bad imitation Martin Grey-esque manner of speech to go along with his other typical weird acting idiosyncrasies? For why? Where did that come from?

It's like he's trying to be commanding and grand in the style of a classically trained thespian reciting Shakespeare on stage. But he doesn't actually have the faintest clue what he's doing and is just trying out random ideas on the fly.

You're not getting knighted like Sir Patrick Stewart for erratically over-acting like a rube in a Soap Opera mister.

It speaks to the professionalism of JPS and FH that they don’t laugh in his face.

I'm convinced that he got lost on his way to a Shakespearian Theatre Convention and ended up on the parking lot of the GH soundstage instead. 😅

I'm with you on Carly's retcon backstory. First of all she grew up in a trailer park in Florida. Not in a nice condo with a bank manager mother like we saw in those terrible flashbacks.

Even in 1996, Virginia Benson's set wasn't really trailer-park per se (at least to me), however nor it was a nice condo. It was however rather homely and modest.

Looking later in the clip/episode, they also completely overlooked the fact that it was Detective Felix Piser who Bobbie hired to seek out Carly that brought her to Port Charles, not Frank Benson. Carly convinced Piser she would give him money in exchange for his silence so she could scope out Bobbie's family (she believed they were loaded as both Tony and Bobbie were both in the medical field). 🙄

  7. Ugh what I hate about Frank's one-off episodes is that he has a tendency to retcon a whole bunch of things that goes completely against things that were previously addressed on-screen (I'm still not over the Carly's journey to Port Charles re-write leading to Nelle meeting her from a few months ago). In this case Mikkos being abusive to Kristin is news to me considering how Alexis described the dynamic to Helena in 2004.

I'm now uploading 2000 in clips and full episodes.

This is fantastic! This era is so rare - I'm so excited to see more of the fallout between Tricia and Megan. I see the episode of Megan saying "how could you be such a bitch" is on there! I'm thinking of sharing these to Sabryn since I'm connected to her on social media.

If you ever get to 2001, feel free to upload your versions of them, in case there are differences in versions and quality. ;)

Was Keith Dennison always supposed to be this j@ckass of a character?

Guza and every character not named Sonny, Jason, Sam and Carly

In a similar vein, Brad Bell and every character not named Liam, Steffy, Hope, and Brooke.

Also just before this era he got captivating talent like Sarah Joy Brown as Agnes and Rick Hearst as Whip and the both of them along with the rest of the Jones family just unceremoniously disappeared after 2 years (thanks to shifting his focus on Liam and expanding his family).

  10. Oop there goes ghost Michael again with mama Carly pulling his strings.

Ugh as much as I love the idea of Nina getting back at Carly as it would give CW some good material, it's just setting up Nina to take a huge fall when everything is revealed and ultimately makes Carly look good. I know there's a ton of people that could do without Nina on the canvas, but I adore Cynthia Watros so I just hope whatever ramifications, Nina isn't written into a corner and is written off.

IDK if this qualifies but it seems as if Y&R is trying to pretend that Victor Newman is American when he very clearly has a German accent. Why not just say Victor was left in a German orphanage lol!

Haha I remember on one of the Y&R standalone specials back in Christmas 2009/2010, they did an artificial flashback of Victor in his teens in the orphanage where he got into a fight with someone, and everyone ripping on the fact the actor had a very American accent which didn't ring believable next to Eric Braeden 😅

It becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy because the show is so stale and boring that there's no new viewers coming in or old ones coming back, so they have to fight even harder to keep the little audience that's left, so they become even more afraid to do anything that might offend anyone...

It's also become particularly difficult for the show to avoid this obnoxiously vocal minority with the advent of social media. Just yesterday they posted a PR statement on the attack on the Asian community and the comments section is littered with conservative Facebook grandmas going "JuSt StIcK tO eNtErTaInInG aNd DoN'T gEt PoLiTiCaL" or "EvErYtHiNg Is NoT aBoUt RaCe". God forbid they make integrate any commentary about this into their writing. 🙄

On the note of showing solidarity to the Asian community, how's Keemo doing nowadays?

  13. Melrose Place's Sandy Harling. Not that I thought it was bad - she was far more convincing than whatever accent MEK thinks he's doing on GH. She went from having a southern accent to a super southern accent to having no accent at all in a span of like 5 episodes.

Special mention goes to Brenda Dickson's transatlantic theatrical accent she put on Jill on the tail end of her run on Y&R.
