Hi everyone! After a few hiccups here and there, I am happy to say the current iteration of the B&B Vault is now LIVE! I have updated the link on the first post but it's also available below: https://bit.ly/3N9cSkw I'm deciding on one change however, and that is no longer offering the option to register users into the Vault. It's very time consuming for me to keep a contact list of people, and then transfer them over between locations when Vault locations need to be moved. Unless there is a really good reason to (such as taking the initiative to re-organize/rename files), it is not necessary as anybody can upload files as guests. 90% of issues around accessing the Vault can be resolved by ensuring you are using Incognito Mode (Chrome) or Private Browsing Mode (Safari). Thank you all for your patience and may the uploading once again begin! Hopefully this is the last time I have to do this for a while haha.

Update! Account has been acquired with the right amount of storage space, and migration is now in progress! I'll update once the migration is complete so that uploads can commence once again.

Hi everyone, I haven't forgotten about this! Unfortunately, it has been infinitely more challenging to source a 5TB OneDrive account through my traditional means. I've already thrown $40 to a few eBay and Alibaba sellers selling "5TB" accounts when it turns out they've given me 1TB instead (though they claim you can register up to 5 devices to get 1TB on each, but I don't think that's how the accounts work LOL). If the OneDrive route is a dead end, I'm going to check into what Google might offer via an edu email route, though these are also hard to come across online nowadays since this whole practice is kinda shady haha. Thank you all for your patience!

Update: It looks like the Y&R/GL Vault is affected as well. Looking into potential solutions!

Hi All, Quick update - Unfortunately all good things must come to not an end, but a slight roadblock as Microsoft has flagged the account holding the B&B Vault as "unauthorized". This just means I will need to source another under-the-table OneDrive account and migrate everything on there. I'll do my best to get this done this week. Unfortunately what this also means is that new uploads can't be made until I've migrated everything, which will take some time. I'll continue to post updates as things develop. Thank you in advance for your patience!

It's worth repeating that Sabryn Genet was absolutely brilliant in the role. It's just a shame she barely gets a mention these days (or an episode during the COVID classics) because many characters directly impacted by her are off the canvas now (Megan, Grace, Matt/Carter, Nina, Ryan, and HT's Victoria).

Almost nobody seems to talk about this about the 1998 Niktor reunion, but the show also did Joshua Landers pretty dirty as well. Nikki probably grieved him for about 6 minutes before moving all her focus back on Victor.

It's only fair game to bring up Phyllis' distant past they way they always do Diane's so... 👏

Looking forward to the day when Nikki, Ashley, and Phyllis' scheming against Diane blows up in their faces. I also don't really understand all the social media hate for Diane. All she needs to do is sneeze and it's somehow nefarious.

Is it just me or is something about Kyle keeping Ashland away from Harrison just doesn't sit right? I'm not condoning what Ashland has done but until literally a year ago, Ashland was the only father he knew and was raised by and he clearly adores him.

Didn't she just do that not that long ago? The counters, tables, and wallpaper were all refreshed, but the show didn't want to stray too far away from its original look to something relatively colder and desolate.

Not sure if it's just me but what's with MS's pronunciation of mature "ma-tour"?? In Canada's Friday episode, it's even beginning to rub off on PB as he pronounced premature "prema-tour". 🙄

Vault Update for March 2025 Hello retro soap community! I thank you for your patience as @BoldRestless and I navigate on how to continue with the Vault going forward. Starting with bad news - due to changes with the registration process for Microsoft's Developer Program which is how I was able to host the Vault via OneDrive most recently, I am unable to continue hosting the Vault on OneDrive until further notice. That being said, I'm willing to continue sharing access to the Vault via my Network Attached Storage/NAS (my personal cloud, in laymans terms). You will still be able to view episodes and upload episodes, however the procedures will be slightly different going forward. Viewing Episodes Simply click on this link to view the episodes - bit.ly/4hkIsuE. Navigate to the folder, and on the video file, either right-click (for computer/laptop users) or long tap (for mobile users), and choose "Open in new Tab". If the video file still won't play after this, it may need to be downloaded and played using a different application, such as VLC. Uploading Episodes To contribute to the library of videos, please refer to the below upload links. Upload to BB: https://bit.ly/4bDdg7k Upload to GL: https://bit.ly/4iwYVvv Upload to YR: https://bit.ly/4bViTO5 Before files are uploaded, please ensure the name of your video file follows the scheme (airdate - YYYY-MM-DD)-(full episode/clip). Example - 1992-07-05-Full Episode.mp4. This will temporarily place the video files in the root folders of the soap until I find time to sort out the videos and place them into the correct folders. Pros and Cons to this new method One big benefit of moving out of OneDrive to my NAS is that I no longer have to segregate the soaps in order to stay under the 5TB quota, and is totally dependent on how much personal storage I have left (as of today, about 4TB). I have the ability of being able to expand the storage, albeit I'm waiting until Black Friday until 16TB hard drives go on sale again haha. The new upload procedure also tightens control over how files are sorted and prevents accidental duplication of files, thus prematurely running out of storage space. You will also notice there is a name field for when you upload your files, so it helps the community to know who to thank every time a contribution is made. Some drawbacks of this new system is that because it is not being run out of Microsoft's servers and instead to my machine, it's dependent on 2 factors: 1) My personal internet connection 2) Whether or not my machine is on or off. I leave my NAS on all the time, but sometimes power trips or outages will cause it to disconnect, though not very often. I'll do my best to keep everyone updated with the online status. If playback is a little slower than usual it's also because there's likely a high amount of traffic accessing the files. If it's unbearably laggy, please download the files and play them on your device instead of streaming them. Please let me know if you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them and I appreciate your patience on this, as I do have a very busy life outside of soap opera archiving aha.

Ok, clearing out 2010-2019 managed to free up 380 GB. I'll need a week to come up with a secondary vault location. I'm thinking of transferring out Y&R to the new location and keeping B&B there as it gets far more upload activity than Y&R.
