Doesn't Harding Lemay write about Hugh Marlowe's frustration with Virginia Dwyer in Eight Years in Another World? Lemay was fine with Constance Ford changing dialogue to better fit her character but when Virginia Dwyer did it is she was difficult. Ariana Muenker (Marianne Randolph) spoke of Hugh Marlowe struggling to remember his lines. I think it was in a Locher Room interview. Once again Lemay showed his bias with the actors he preferred.

Absolutely!! I do give credit to Frank for keeping Genie on the show but the writing for her is less than ideal.

Sally could have left town after finding out that Catlin got Brittany pregnant. Leaving the door open for her return with a new actress down the road. However, Margaret DePriest always wrote for short term shock value instead of long term impact.

I enjoyed Gary Tomlin & Richard Culliton's stint and would have liked for them to have stayed for at least another year.

It would have played better to this audience member. Although I thought all of the crossovers should have been temporary with the characters going back to Bay City eventually.

They could have broken up Jake and Vicky and a single Jake could have stayed in Oakdale. Killing off Vicky was lazy writing and a lack of respect for Another World and had nothing to with Jensen's contract issues.

When I first saw the announcement about the Jagger recast I thought it was the first change from Patrick Mulcahey. I was so relieved to see it happening now. There are many characters I would like to see return but Jagger is not one of them.

I was able to read it and found it very interesting. It also gave us some insight into Patrick Mulcahey. Thank you @TonksIsHere

My memory may be a bit off but I think the rewrite was that Cecile hooked up with Cass outside of Bay City while she was also involved with Sandy and Jamie. When Cass arrived in 1982 Elena mentioned that the Winthrop and DePoulignac families were old friends. As much as I hated the rewrite and was happy when it was undone Cass and Cecile did know each before he moved to Bay City. I will try to find his intro episode on YouTube to see if I remember correctly. At 9:20 Elena mentions a past with Cass’ father.

All complete failures and missed opportunities to bring back popular characters.

Did Christopher Goutman or Leah Laiman ever say if Anne O'Donnell was originally supposed to turn out to be Frankie Frame? I thought maybe they changed this due to the show's cancellation because what was the point of brining Alice Barrett back for the mess of a storyline we got!!??
