That video is a hot tranny mess, but of course, the rabid monsters will claim it's the most insightful and stunning video ever made! And can she stop trying to be sexy? I don't know a single person that finds her attractive.

As I mentioned in the Academy Awards thread, Best Director winner, Tom Hooper, is an EastEnders alumni. He directed a few episodes for the show during the Mathew Robinson era (98-00), which was one of his first big breaks with the BBC.

From the beginning, I think they always saw her as some campy stereotype, but that type of character isn't really sustainable for a very long time. I don't think they ever quite knew what to do with her, and her relationships with Ronnie and Roxy were botched from the get-go.

I won't really miss her, as I never thought she had much of a future on the show.

She always goes on rants about how her "art" is a reflection of all the different facets of her and how important it is for her fans to see that. She doesn't seem tongue-in-cheek about anything to me, she seems to take it all very seriously. The 60 Minutes piece really showed about how important it is to her to project the image she wants to project, more so than the music itself. I don't know if I see any clear messages in her work, other than Gaga hitting us over the head about how she wants to stick up for all the gays and the misfits in the world. There's nothing wrong with the "love yourself for who you are message", but she does have a tendency to exploit it to the point where it seems she's a bit manipulative and fake with it. I blame Justin Bieber for this crap...

It's hard to buy it as an intentional act when Gaga goes on and on in interviews about her everything she does, wears, writes, etc is a true reflection of who she is and what she's really like. And she seems so deathly serious about it all. She hypes herself to the point where nothing seems genuine about her at all. She wants you to think of her in a certain way, but it just comes off in the opposite direction for me, though a lot of people seem to buy the sh!t she spills out.
