  1. Then I'll have to hold onto 'em.
  2. Someone refresh my memory: Did all the old Eddie Drueding episodes from the '60s and '70s end up uploaded to YouTube, or are they still in danger of being taken down? I have them on a USB and I'd like to know if I can free the space.
  3. Scott Wilson is starring in Brit Marling's new Netflix series The OA, premiering tomorrow. Marling has done great indie sci-fi films.
  4. The idea was to use that aesthetic, yeah. I'm not happy about CBS All Access either. Netflix wanted the show lock, stock and barrel, but CBS decided to try and launch it themselves.
  5. I'm just thrilled, because to the best of my knowledge the role she is taking on - "Number One" - is conceived of as the central lead of the show. That is a huge deal both for Star Trek and for her, and for television. Trek is a massive franchise. Before departing to focus on his other show Bryan Fuller intended for the role to be cast with a woman of color. A friend of mine told me most of the casting thus far is all his, and I hope she was as well. I'm just so happy for her.
  6. Nevermind, it's above
  7. So thrilled. I was just thinking about her for that part.
  8. I was just thinking of her for the role! My girl!
  9. ABC apparently just repoted - on air - that intelligence agencies are hesitant to report to Trump because they fear it will go straight to Russia.
  10. Meanwhile at the Critics' Choice Awards: Norman Reedus photobombed the Stranger Things kids, all of whom look ecstatic.
  11. Leave me out of this!
  12. There is an extensive TP segment in the opening of that doc, incidentally. Sheryl does framing segments throughout, though. The doc is from 2001.
  13. Oh, my God: Even wilder: This BBC doc perfectly recreates Laura's final outfit from FWWM for its introduction and framing segments.
  14. After the last film in the series Nathalie Emmanuel is now a full part of the ongoing Fast and Furious ensemble, as evidenced in the new trailer for the next one.
  15. No, that's exactly what he is and was. The Russians have a term for him in their language. It basically translates as "useful idiot". This is unavoidable treason and espionage, and the media has picked it up. Someone in our government needs to come out and either stop this or do something actionable towards Russia about it before the end of January.
  16. Trump team response:
  17. Meanwhile, in our Russian coup...
  18. Laura Harrier is popular girl Liz Allan. Pretty sure Zendaya is Mary Jane who they've given an alias trying to be slick before the movie comes out.
  19. Well, with Sherilyn who knows how she really feels. But she's not making a spectacle of herself this week!
  20. Peter Parker only has eyes for Destiny Evans in Spider-Man: Homecoming. On a side note, really impressed that the two female leads in the new Spidey are both women of color - Laura Harrier from OLTL 2.0 plays Liz Allan and I believe Zendaya plays "Michelle" who is heavily rumored to actually be Mary Jane Watson.
  21. I lived in NYC for over a decade. And yes, 70K is not the same there, but anyone who lives in NY proper knows what they signed up for. You either room with people, as many do, or you make enough, period.
  22. 70K is the rock bottom minimum people make in my field in a staff position, though granted I am a "coastal elite" working in the liberal media. It is also a damn good wage. Yet I know some stupid people in my field voted for Trump from a position of comfort and 'crashing the system.'
