  1. From my favorite New Year's movie, Kathryn Bigelow and James Cameron's Strange Days:
  2. Laura Dern talks Diane and TP at Lincoln Center - and how they did her big scene (at 43:00):
  3. Meanwhile, Farah Galfond (nee Fath of DOOL and OLTL) is now apparently an ice cold poker queen married to a gambling ace and somehow the whole Molly's Game thing doesn't surprise me for her. (That's a compliment, Farah, don't hurt me)
  4. Cross-posted from the OLTL thread:
  5. Oh, jeez. OLTL's Eddie Alderson lives his dream:
  6. Big story:
  7. It's worth pointing out that IIRC the Max/Barbara thing was only in the last episode before the series finale. I liked that too. I'd forgotten about it. But I do think it's also only there because they had no other option. Did Alex even get an exit or mention when he left?
  8. The impossibly multi-talented and gorgeous Billy Magnussen (Casey Hughes, ATWT) continues his climb towards EGOT supremacy in the Season 4 premiere of Netflix's Black Mirror - where he plays a Ricardo Montalban Khan-esque space bad guy in a demented Star Trek-like virtual world. It features a great cast including Cristin Milioti (wasted on the last season of How I Met Your Mother), Jesse Plemons doing William Shatner, Jimmi Simpson and the great UK actress Michaela Coel.
  9. ODAAT was the first place I can remember seeing Ron Rifkin. I loved him and was shocked when he got offed. I didn't have a problem with Howard Hesseman. The girls' husbands never made much of an impression on me but IIRC both went on to long careers - I think Boyd Gaines is onstage and the other (Michael Lembeck?) is a very prolific TV director or producer or some such. I still remember when the show threw in the towel on Mackenzie Phillips' problems and just said she left her husband and daughter, lol.
  10. Granted I was biased, but I caught the ODAAT reruns on E! when I was 12 or 13 and I had a massive crush on Glenn Scarpelli. I'm not proud!
  11. I mean, true, but that's from 2015...
  12. That's cute. I had no idea Wanda Sykes was working on the show.
  13. Not a chance. There's been stories about him for years and now they're all going public.
  14. Darlene and her kids. The bedroom set is back.
  15. They all look great. And wow - John Goodman is probably in the best shape of his life. I doubt it but I would not be entirely shocked tbh. IIRC Clooney was classy enough to do a cameo in one Halloween episode after he got big on ER.
  16. The Streep posters are made by an alt right troll avenging Trump. (Another alt right troll also apparently coordinated negative spamming of the new Star Wars' Rotten Tomatoes score because they feel the series is being 'feminized', but that's another story.)
  17. Vee replied to DRW50's topic in Primetime & Streaming
Karen talks DW on her Jumanji press tour:
  18. Kate Dickie (Lysa Arryn) has a bit part as a First Order officer in The Last Jedi, following GOT's Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Jojen Reed) who had an identical cameo in The Force Awakens. Gwendoline Christie of course returns as Captain Phasma. Meanwhile, Emilia Clarke is co-starring in next year's Han Solo prequel.
