  1. In theory, on paper, introducing a new black family and pairing one of them with the Bauer family's key son is a wonderful idea. The problem is that that son was Rick as played by Michael O'Leary years past his prime, and no one BTS gave two [!@#$%^&*] for Rick or the Bauers at that point, or for that new black family after five minutes.
  2. LOL:
  3. Not exactly a brilliant piece, but it does discuss TP a bit.
  4. The day to day writing was often a mess thanks to Gary Tomlin's sensibilities, but the performances and the background lore with Allison and Mitch was rock solid. And when Mitch finally did return - something that seemed to just hang in the air for over a year - it was appropriately ominous. I remember when I got told, I think, it was the summer of '02, that one of the daughters would turn out to be the daughter of "Niki and Mitch". (The Niki mention may have been a mistake or they may have rewritten that bit) Just the idea of invoking Mitch, long-dead but so feared, spooked me. So I wasn't surprised when Roscoe Born turned up. Right after Allison famously hissed "ask Mitch".
  5. Mueller basically came out, resigned, refused to exonerate Trump and pointedly put the onus to act on Congress. I don't believe there is a choice anymore. Maybe not next week, but before the election is over.
  6. Lena Waithe has some explaining to do.
  7. Oh, fúck that. I work freelance (not in journalism) and net 30-40 can be brutal, let alone net 90. Unacceptable. Maggie Haberman and the NYT have been getting skewered online all day for their Hope Hicks puff piece and I'm here for it. Can't link stuff atm sadly.
  8. I've always thought he was both more talented and more sensitive than he's been given credit for. His interviews recently about his anxiety and issues while working on GOT certainly bear the latter out. If half the rumors are true he's lucky Rose Leslie has stuck by him. I just don't think leading man roles in film are his place. I think his best option is to get well, and go for meaty character parts in the UK. Richard Madden did some similar rebuilding of his image (in much less dire straits IRL) with Bodyguard and now he is likely heading the next big Marvel movie. I don't think Kit can or should shoulder the pressures of Marvel movies, but I do think he is talented.
  9. Kit has allegedly had drug and alcohol problems for years. "Stress" is being overplayed to avoid that stigma.
  10. ????????????????????????
  11. From HBO's Season 8 BTS documentary The Last Watch, available tonight (I do not endorse the twitter user's handle):
  12. Meredith Hagner (Liberty, ATWT) has gone on to a pretty respectable film and TV career, and has a supporting role in Brightburn.
  13. I've always loved Susan, but I love that night more.
  14. Not good enough. This meta-show angle needs to end.
  15. Did Cooper croon a looney tune? Now whatever happened to Parcheesi? A neat period feature with some of the women of TP, including Peggy. Chris Isaak and Kyle on location for FWWM from the MTV VMAs. I had no idea they were on-set at the same time.
  16. Wow - Clint Ritchie's name (OLTL) is shown in the opening credits of a fictional "Rick Dalton" Western in the new trailer for Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (at 0:16).

  18. Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Quentin Tarantino speak fondly of Luke Perry re: his work in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
