Un.fuckin.believable!  Just when you think it can't get any worse, somehow it does.

Clean water, asbestos, human rights...eh, who needs that [!@#$%^&*]...

From everything I've seen today, this "agreement" the two signed is a non-specific, broad bullet-point style one page memo (for lack of a better word).  The media, specifically CBS This Morning, are gushing.

Don't get me wrong, if this does indeed lead to long-lasting peace in Korea, that's a win for everyone.  But something still strikes me that this was all just too easy.  There are manipulations behind the scenes that haven't been revealed yet but I'm sure Putin has a hand in this.

In the course of 2 days, trump has aligned himself with a communist and disavowed our allies.  The MSM are ignoring it.

I hate the way he calls the Canadian Prime Minister "Justin".  I know it's a small thing, but it's clearly meant to diminish.  The trade situation is completely off the rails and we all have damn good reason to be terrified about these talks with North Korea. Who among us thinks Trump has enough knowledge to conduct negotiations with NK?

It's all too convenient for me.  Trump has fallen ass-backwards into this "summit" with NK, as Kim Jong Un has made all the overtures that actually mean anything.

I still believe that Putin has something to do with this and has arranged the "summit" purely to boost Trump's image and status as president.  Trump knows this and knows the outcome has been set, hence he's "winging it".

The fact that more Republicans aren't calling him out for the disgusting way he's treating our allies is maddening.  He's coddling Russia and blowing off the G7 to kiss communist ass.  I mean, what in the fresh fvck is going on.  Where is the outrage?

The right had a hissy fit when Clinton normalized relations with Vietnam and Obama went to Cuba!  But they're OK with Trump's behavior now?!?!

It's below that rich white woman to step foot in a public school.  Heaven forbid she has to go through something so traumatizing.  Kinda like Pruitt flying First Class.  Why should they bother with people that are second class citizens.

    This administration makes me sick.

By the way, it's exhausting living while black in America during the Trump era.

I can't imagine what that's like but as a white guy, it pisses me the fvck off every time I see a story like this.  WTF is wrong with white people these days.  It's sickening.

My bf is from Puerto Rico and I can tell you that since Trump's election, he's noticed an uptick in people treating him differently.  Happened just yesterday in Wal-Mart.  He was using self-checkout and an older WOC employee was helping him but out of nowhere, this white lady that was also working that area stood next to him to make sure he wasn't getting any freebies.  Even challenged him on something that was missing the price (he already gave the other employee the price).  He had enough and told her he didn't want any of it and left the store.  She told him he would have to put everything back to which he said "watch this" and walked away.

    I think:

    - the testing site collapse has a big role in this

    - there are probably still other tests or research facilities that we won't know about (and if Trump knows he will stay quiet about for PR reasons)

    - the sanctions have taken a big toll

    - China probably got involved as last year they seemed to be increasingly fed up.

I see what you're sayin.  Let's see what happens.

Speaking of things we'll likely never know, it appears that the U.S. military and government are prepared to sweep this under the rug with no prescriptions on how to avoid this from happening again and no one in the upper echelons even prepared to take responsibility for what is being described as "lax oversight" and "sloppy" paperwork.

Military Inquiry Finds Soldiers Were Unprepared in Deadly Niger Ambush

I saw that on CBS This Morning today.   The animation was disturbing.  I feel so sad for these families not only for the death of their sons/husbands/fathers, but to know it was completely avoidable doubles down on the hurt.

This is what, the 3rd or 4th military fiasco under Trump after just a year and a half in office?  Where's the Benghazi crowd now?!?!  Hypocrites.

  7. Is anyone else still scratching their heads over Kim Jong Un's abrupt change of heart?

I don't subscribe or really give much relevance to conspiracy theories, and this is pure speculation on my part...but it seems to me too good to be true.  Trump's popularity was on the steady decline, or at least stuck in no man's land.  Out of the blue, after a year of trading insults and threats, now these two inept leaders are best buds?  Like I said, this is purely speculation on my part, but I can't help but think Putin has his hands in this somehow.  He needed to give his American puppet Prez a boost so he made some agreements with Un and voila.   Just sayin.

Although a nuclear free Korea would be wonderful.

So is the 40% number a hard line?  It's scary to think what Trump would have to do to lose the support of these people.

Apparently, the House Intelligence Committee (run by the GOP) issued their report on Russian Collusion and basically stated that...you guessed it, they stated that there is no collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Did we expect anything else from these people?

    Complete BS!

Just got a new update that Tillerson is out and Trump wants Pompeo to fill his spot.

Yep.  The Bush administration was notorious for these types of corrupt business dealings, but damn if Trump and his pals haven't put them all to shame. It's insane what they are getting away with.

    This. Is. Crazy.

My Evangelical brother was spinning conspiracy theories from the far right in 2016 that Pres O was fixin to declare martial law to extend his term.  Of course that was a bald face lie.  This shyt here is real.  And fuckin scary.

#BoycottNRA is trending and many NRA partners (MetLife, etc.) are pulling out.

I hope this turns into something.  In the part of rural Florida that I live in, we might as well be considered Georgia.  Don't get me wrong, I love my home and the south.  But the majority of people around here either believe the NRA is a legitimate government agency or (the more educated) know that it's a lobbyist group but still trust them more than the govment.  This could backfire on them if they ain't careful.

I saw that online this morning, thought it was satire and had to read the article again.

IF it goes anywhere, they're going to have to make changes.  Institute it on a voluntary basis, see what the interest/demand is and go from there.  And since they are comparing it to Hello Fresh, participants should have a say in what shows up in the box.

Seeing how the budget deal just went through, hopefully this "innovative" assistance program will hopefully never see the light of day.

THIS is what is in the OO. this..this thing. can you imagine the other countries either laughing at us or are terrified for us with this jackass in office? I honestly thought this was a joke at first. are we communists now? is this Russia II or NK II over here? WTH is wrong with this creature?!

Trump to Pentagon: "ME WANT PARADE!!"

Now, maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to ME that our nation's service men and women neither demand nor expect parades for the work they volunteer to do on all our behalf.  All they really ask for, IMO, is our thanks.

But, whatevs.  Democracy is dead!  Viva Trump!

I thought it was a joke too.  It's absolutely unbelievable and all to feed trump's ego, I'm sure.  Why isn't anyone saying no to this?  I've said this so many times over the last year, but everyday is a new pathetic surprise from Cadet Bone Spurs.

They have the cures for all the diseases you named......but what is making them more money? people being cured or people being sick? how many pills does a HIV-Positive or AIDS patient take a day? many forms of cancer have been cured but not all forms. BP loses oney then.

Yes.  Big Pharma isn't interested in curing anything.  They're interested in making money and the way to do that is to manage illnesses, not cure them.

The NIH, CDC and to some extent, Walter Reed will the be driving forces behind curing folks.

Apparently talking about race, or bigotry, - or making white America face a changing world, or simply not being white - means 'only governing half the country'.

And to be clear, Obama used EOs after it was clear the GOP would never willingly govern responsibly or meet him at the table for anything. They made it clear from the day he became President-Elect that their only strategy and goal was to obstruct him and run him out of office. McConnell said that when Obama was first elected. By contrast, the GOP both pre- and post-Obama has used EOs to subvert the rule of law. Pretending it's the same is a sop to wounded white ego (and I am, for the record, plenty white).

But the truth is we can throw all the actual facts we want at this argument and there is no point. Once a conservative has their alternative facts made up in their mind, it's about pride. Not reality. Admitting they're not the same would mean one side has a net loss. That is not acceptable in far too many people's minds these days.

    +1

Besides, how does one profess to be a liberal and supportive of President Obama when he was in office to being Pro-Trump?!?!?  Not over policy, perhaps a change of heart on abortion?  Not over foreign policy, maybe believing a harsher stance to North Korea?  Not over the economy, jobs, environment, immigration, The Wall?  Nope.

But because of what they perceive as the left being overly critical of him

    Yea, right.

Of course Pauline Hanson, Tony Abbott, Margaret Court, Lyle Shelton, Rita Panahi, and the like are seething and apoplectic. Abbott even stormed off before the final vote.

    :D Congrats!  That's great news!

  18. It's rather sad that trump feels a need to tweet about any perceived personal slight, no matter how inconsequential.  Frankly, I don't believe that he had any meaningful impact on securing their release - this is just my gut opinion, given his penchant for stretching the truth.

  19. The other day, I about rolled my truck to avoid hitting the most beautiful foe.  She was gorgeous.

Not to disparage hunters, but I don't see the "sport" in going out into the woods, armed to the T with scopes, guns, decoys, whathaveyou, invading these creatures territory and then taking their life when they wander into your trap.  Now if they leveled the playing field and went hand-to-hoof, I might get on board with that.
