Julianne Morris was/is gorgeous and very likable plus I thought she was a decent actress.  Unfortunately she didn't pop off the screen with charisma and chemistry the way some actors do.   Greta was either pushed way too much (the John, Hope, Bo, Gina, scar stuff ad nauseum), given horrible stories (GARDEN OF EDEN, Jack is fake gay), or given nothing (Eric/Greta romance, Austin/Greta romance).  I definitely think she had the ability to be a long term heroine-the show just never found a niche for her.  I think she could have worked well as a foe for Sami in the absence of Carrie, but the show really didn't have them interact much.   Greta's coronation was probably the best 'event' Days did in that era though.

It is surprising Greta never came back especially with all the Beyond Salem mentions.  Does Julianne Morris still act?

As far as I know, Julianne Morris is retired from acting. Her husband (Kristoffer Polaha) is a Hallmark Channel staple.

Buzzr through the Pluto app because we're getting Dawson Feud instead of 90s Newlywed Game in primetime

They also show just Barker-hosted TPIR from the 1980s!!!

I would think it was supposed to be John at one point?  That's what I assumed, but with John/Stefano being potential fathers of Greta and Hope's baby at the same time I don't even know what was happening back then.  That whole Langan era was just odd.  It was still trying to be JER's Days, but also so focused on the teens.  I hated it at the time, but I think I was just spoiled from the 90's

Unfortunately, Greta was just a bit of a dud of a character.  I liked her, but she wasn't really anything memorable no matter how much the show pushed her for awhile.

Julianne Morris was engaging, but the writing just didn't seem to be there.

Well it's typical really.  Look how many TX representatives fought against aid to NJ and Hurricane Sandy relief.  Then begged for help because they got *ucked by Harvey.

Yup, because they are all hypocrites.

Liz/Sonny would have been grosser than Sonny/Emily because there are actual scenes of the two actors interacting while Liz was a teenager.  Anyhow, IN THEORY ONLY, it might have been interesting to see how Sonny dealt with Liz being a rape victim and looking back on how he treated women in the past.  And Liz seeking out an older man because of Daddy/men issues.  I always thought MB/BH worked well together in a friendship way.  Anyway, even if BH was a bit older, Liz always read very young to me in a way that Brenda/Karen didn't even though at the time Liz was older than they were when those two dated Sonny.

It's an interesting idea though.  It's hard to go back knowing what we know now, but Sonny circa 2000 wasn't the worst human ever like he is now.

It's definitely an interesting theory, especially with Liz's history of rape. When did Sonny's character become irreparable? He was still fairly tolerable from 1998 up to about 2001.

Boy do those clips bring back memories. I caught glimpses of the first two adult Lizas - Meg Bennett and Hope Busby - in the Christmas videos. I also saw Peter Simon as Scott (he was surprisingly handsome in his younger years), beautiful Courtney Sherman as Kathy, and Millee Taggart - later a writer - as Liza’s way-too-young mother Janet.

    Is this Hope Busby?

Oh, he had it. If you look closely when Dump had his Evita moment on the balcony of the White House following his return, he was desperately trying to take air in. He likely got the antibody therapy, etc., being "president", and that's what saved his fat ass.

    Totally. Remember this?

Does anyone recognize the set in this photo?  I started watching AW in 1971, and I'm fairly certain this set was not used during the time I watched the show.  So it must have been used prior to 1971.

This is not Jim and Mary Matthews' house, but it might have been Liz Matthews' original house.  That set was never used again after Liz left the show in early 1971.

Anyone remember this set on Another World?

I don't know the set, but what a great photo!!
