I finally watched the State of Mind with Shelly Curtis. I would kill for some of these folks to be interviewed about their careers and time on GH like that amazing OLTL book. I know MB had her and Riche on to basically thank them and hear what his breakdown looked like from their perspectives. But all I wanted to hear was more of the stuff she learned from working with Monty and editing- especially her ability to edit while doing the shots, and her title of queen of the sex scenes.
I also absolutely loved the not so subtle shade she cast on Frank’s vision- that even with no time she is capable of finding moments because she can pare it down in her head to what matters most per show. I haven’t ever heard anyone put it that way really with soaps, but it’s true. When you have an emotional centerpiece of that day’s episode, and all of them should have that, you get through the more mundane scenes and move your extra time to craft the one most important for that one episode.
When I think of what has been missing on the current show it’s that- everything is treated with the same bland, generic hand. And the drama just never happens, never peaks. I bet had she been at GH with the same scripts from the last two years it would have been infinitely better.
I think so, too. A lot of the show's heart left with the likes of her and Wendy Riche.

In 1980 after they ended the ill-fated 90 minute version of Another World and moved it from 2:30 Eastern to 2:00 and begat Texas running at 3. The Young and the Restless expanded to 1 hour around the same time airing at 1-2 pushing ATWT to 2-3 opposite AW and Guuding Light 3-4 opposite Texas
I’m still saying CBS claimed they couldn’t move EON to 3,3:30, or I suppose 4 because it would compete against P and G s Another Would and Somerset breaking the sponsors no compete rule
However ABC didn’t seem to have a problem not complying with P&Gs rule
I thought so. Thanks!

I loved them both so much. Abe is one of my favorites. I’m shocked that he even lasted 4 decades in a show like Days.
I always loved when they gave Lexie more DiMera storysI always loved that Celeste was the only one to call them by their full names - Abraham and Alexandra.

I think it was before, his GH stint was the Summer of '85.
You're right. His gig on SB happened in 1986.

I’d rather watch that hilarious story over MarDevil on Days. No joking here
Agreed. At least the SFT story was supposed to be fun and lighthearted.

4 decades with not even mentionable storys.. Only thing memorable was his pairing with Lexie and that was it lmao
How long were he and Lexie on the backburner? A shame because JR and RJ worked so well together.

The livestream left me feeling kind of sad, tbh. There was no one to intercede to make it better. It was great to see Tunie but I won't be watching any more of these. It's just too sad.
Sad is a good word to use. Alan has had more than enough time to improve both his research and interviewing skills.

but it's sad that he would say it and be so sure of himself, because it's wrong information.
That's all his episodes in a nutshell. Fact check, Alan!!

The NBA and NFL's recent backtrack on rigorous testing makes no sense.
Nope! The NFL postponed the Browns game until Monday.

I'm watching it and still can't believe it actually happened.
I wonder if the cast said the same thing at the time.

Yeah, it usually never works out as planned, but it worked out well for Patrick/Robin.
Agreed, especially after the likes of Sonny/Hannah and Jax/Sam were given huge publicity campaigns. Then again, KMc and JT actually had chemistry and were believable together, unlike those other pairings.

I remember that I really liked Cain. But he's really a big old jerk face at the beginning. Dial back the anger, dude!
I liked him, too. Who would have guessed at the beginning he would be the best man at Eden and Cruz's eventual wedding?

The GOP did just that in the early '00s. My guess is Schumer is afraid but beyond that, Manchin and Sinema and those who hide behind them probably said no, they won't let it happen. One of the reasons I stopped posting in here much is because I was just so disheartened by their stalling and clear hatred of anything beyond getting more checks in their bank accounts. And it still keeps going.
I hear that.

Do you remember Robert Newman's 80's character? I think he stayed for a few months.
Was he meant be to be a major player? Did he have any pairings? I guess he was considered a soap star by that time.

Honestly, I didn't even know he was on GH until now. Was that before or after he was on SB?

Almost two dozen (!) Cleveland Browns are on the COVID-19 list, almost 100 (!) NFL players in general are on it. Yikes.

Yes, it was Agnes' crown jewel and I don't think that ever changed.
