Awesome BTW I've been meaning to ask if there an easy way to see what's new? All the folders seem to be dated by when they were created. The new files do have a flair to show they're recently uploaded, but one would have to open all the folders to see that... or am I missing something?

I noticed someone was trying to upload episodes from 2000 and 2003 to the Vault and they're not working (which I assume they know cause they tried multiple times). Maybe I can help? If that person is in here, you can post or PM me.

I used to go to soap events they had on the east coast, so it was mostly ATWT and GL actors that I met. I think the only person I ever met that was on B&B was Rick Hearst (back when he was Alan-Michael on GL). He was super nice, it was a charity baseball game and he even had his young children there. And then we ran into them again at McDonald's afterwards, haha.

I'm female and my dad also banned me from watching at age 10 because it was too sexy. 🤣 My mom would tape the shows for me and we'd watch them after school and I'd switch to educational programs when my dad got home from work! I remember once I really wanted to watch my first Daytime Emmys but it was on at night so I had to play sick so I could go to bed early and watch in my room.

Y&R and B&B seemed to have much less detailed spoilers than other shows. It would be more like a vague description of what would happen that week than day to day breakdowns. I liked that because there was still so much genuine surprise. I remember once someone wrote a letter so Soap Opera Digest complaining that Y&R and B&B were the most boring soaps. They "proved it" by the fact that the spoilers were not specific therefore nothing ever happened on the shows. The editors actually had to put in a clarification that the Bell shows chose not to give daily spoilers as policy. One thing that fascinated me was B&B was so much more popular than Y&R even though Y&R was #1 in the US and the more serious show.... I guess it had a lot to do with the format with B&B being 30 minutes and a smaller cast and simpler storyline to follow with only a couple of core families. B&B seemed to have caught on like fire everywhere whereas Y&R really caught on in France but got cancelled in other countries like Italy.

I was so shocked when I found out it was the most popular show in the world! I remember as a kid my grandfather would travel to Europe and I would look through the magazines he brought home and they had little recaps of the soaps and I just couldn't believe they were covered! (Also was surprised how much more casual the European mags were with nudity, hahaha). When my relatives would visit the US my job was to update them on the current plotlines of "Beautiful" so they could brag to their friends that they knew what would happen. It was in the 90s before most people had internet.

I enjoy reading all your perspectives from different countries. In the US hardly anyone even knows the show exists haha. If anything they would know it's a soap and therefore assume it's stupid and be shocked that any soap is still on at all. No one would have a clue what the show is about or the characters or anything.

I don't understand. Is Amy choosing to stop (which is sad but understandable, since she uploaded 500 episodes already) or is the site stopping? So will 750 plus be on RTL Lounge? Can that be streamed online or it's only on TV? I'm actually in touch with one other person who just did a free trial at videoland and re-recorded some of the same episodes Amy did but I think his trial expired.

Rick Hearst is one of the rare soap actors who was brilliant in EVERY role. Thanks for those, I've wanted to see that lingerie again forever.

I posted the list of 10play episodes here in this thread on June 12 (sorry, can't seem to link my post directly).... IIRC there are 4 Sheila-centric episodes.... the catfight with Lauren and three recent catfights with Quinn. 10play was up to date with the US before the production pause, in fact it might have been a day ahead. They posted 50 episodes online which we have all but 6, but I have no idea what order they are airing them over there, and I don't know if you need an account to watch it online. I noted which episodes I thought were posted and which were not; if anyone wants to go through the list and see what episodes need to be uploaded to the vault I can do that, and hopefully someone can provide the 6 episodes that weren't posted online.

I just tried and I can't get anything. I can amplify what's there, but then it's just loud static. It didn't record enough of the original audio. I can hear some very faint voices in the background. Maybe someone else will have some luck. 😕

I'm going to play with it in Audacity. I have cleaned up audio before where I was able to get rid of static and increase volume, but this is really bad, I can't really hear anything at all through YouTube. @ChickenNuggetz92 is very good with audio, maybe he has some ideas. Thanks @YRfan23 sound or not, the quality of the video is quite good!

So with the Emmy week coming up I was wondering if anyone had ever tried to put together a list of all the winning Emmy Reels for Y&R. Is there a database with the submissions, other than digging through old soap magazines? Thanks @janea4old I appreciate the corrections. It's interesting to see the notes that he put on there regarding songs needing to be replaced, etc. He wrote tape on the Brooke/Eric and Katie/Bill weddings, but that can't be right for Katie/Bill, and I'm sure everything has been digitized by now.

I don't want to give a direct link here, but if you go to Amy Silence channel she posted her google drive in a comment to one of the videos she has public. There's not many, so you should be able to find it easily. I'll work on uploading them into the Vault as well. Too bad! So I guess the Fashion Shows are no longer available at all. Are the collections for Location Shoots all still there? If there are 10 episodes for that, can you give me the list? I only see 8 listed, not sure if that's because I'm not on a VPN or if the site is messed up.

Notes: -2/2/05 is "Ridge vs. Thorne" fashion show, not on YT. -10/8/96 fashion show is in the vault but the quality is low, so while I'm very grateful, I count that as one that we still need -5/3/96 (which we have - thank you!) is listed as "Barbados Pt 2" on the apple/10play site, but I don't see any listing for Barbados Pt 1, although there are two episode #s missing for Location Shoots, so that could be one of them? -7/31/09 is listed as "Barbados Pt 3" but upon looking up the recap, this is the episode where Brooke interrupts Ridge & Taylor's wedding and it was filmed in Pt. Dume, not Barbados. This one is on a random YouTube channel but it's only half the episode cut with another episode. If this is a mistake, then maybe there are three Barbados episodes plus this Pt Dume episode which would account for the two missing episode #s in this category. Really confusing.
