  1. Kristina has a premonition that Ava is gonna cause her and that baby harm … make it happen!

When Lois mentioned that her “best friend” was the face of Deception in the 90’s, I wondered if Frank was being a little bitch by not having Brenda mentioned by name. I guess it’s safe to assume  Lois is still in touch with Brenda then?

  2. I think it also helps when you take care of yourself, have a good diet, and exercise regularly. Angela took great pride in maintaining her overall health - so any cosmetic enfacements probably looked more complementary vs. most people.

Mulcahey also spent years working at B&B. And even though I don’t watch that show, I follow the major goings on here. So he also has experience working in nonsense.

And tbh, Santa Barbara was often nonsense kept together by strong day to day writing and climactic episodes as well. Mulcahey said his two stints on GL (first with Marland and then with Curlee) was the only time he felt like things fully clicked where for an extended, but ultimately unsustainable amount of time.

  4. A thriving Y&R would be in the best interest of CBS with their own in-house production hitting the daytime lineup in less than a year. With Y&R’s recent 4 year renewal, a rumored move to a new studio, and Steven Kent’s firing, now is the perfect time for CBC to force some changes on this ailing show. Whether they work out remains to be seen, but I have to think something will change.

  5. Josh Griffith is getting dragged and his firing is being manifested on Twitter, lol. Many claiming it was Kent who hired him 3 separate times at Y&R (despite failing each time), and forcing Griffith’s failed Co-HW stint at DAYS.

It was interference from the Bell’s that got Griffith fired the first time, and JFP the second time (also rumors of him having emotional breakdowns). But what did Kent do as soon as he saw a chance? Hire this failure again, and this time with no objective opposition. That should end now - unless Sony and CBS do not care (like P&G did at the end when they eliminated the Executive In Charge of Production role when MADD retired).

Friday's episode was the best of the week. I think that Anna had an excellent scene with Molly. If Molly prosecutes Sonny, will Sonny be crazy enough to kill his niece?

Molly had valid reasons why she was not the right person to prosecute this case, and in the real word, any ethical jurisdiction would have her recused. IMO, Anna looked stupid for pushing someone who is Sonny’s niece and the sister of his daughter to try this case. To me, this just adds to the ongoing narrative that law enforcement is stupid on this show and Sonny is always one step above them.

Today's episode was very engaging and the cliffhanger made me excited for Monday. Ava vs. Nina inject it into my veins!

I suspect Mulcahey in particular must have taken a liking to Nina, and obviously Watros as an actress and sees what many of us have seen all along that it’s really the actress making this character work and viable.

I’m just glad Nina is onto Ava’s set up immediately and isn’t the blind fool/doormat she is usually written as. The funny thing is Drew warned her about Ava’s ulterior motives when it came to Sonny, so this adds another dimension to her twisted dynamic with him.

  7. Frank likes having a bloated cast, so if that doesn’t change, I also think it may be above PM/EK and they just have to “deal” with it. I’ve often heard the hardest part about being a soap opera HW is keeping actor contracts and guarantees in mind, as you have no control over it and it most certainly impacts the show and stories you tell.

I think that the show is dragging. Alexis should have had her hearing by now. The wedding should happen this month instead of May.

They seem to be dragging to appease May sweeps expectations. But unless that damn wedding leads to a massacre, I am not interested in it or this couple.

Michael Easton is as charismatic as a piece of rotting wood. I hate seeing him on this show and have no use for this character.
