I'm still way behind with 2005, haha but I did finish 9/7 and 9/12. I didn't think Olivia was still around at this point....I've already said how sad it is that Y&R let her slip away and never bother to bring her back... Michael just reminded us he's just as crazy as Tom during those confrontation scenes....I love how Sheila sits back and takes it all in....perhaps they would have been a great match if they had interacted in the 90's.... I guess it's safe to assume the sex scene between Tom and Sheila is what gave us Ryder and Daisy....sigh........what bull, though since I didn't even know those 2 slept together I guess at least Maria got that one bit of "history" right when she decided to create Ryder and Daisy... Jill and Katherine of course light up the screens which is of course sad at the same time....I laughed so loud when Jill kept shouting at Katherine and she was like "WHAT"!!!! I miss Jeanne so much

A few random clips I stumbled upon circa 1986,1989, 1991 I think....

I finally was able to catch up some more haha....I actually just finished the 9-1-2005 episode....(My 15th Birthday LOL) I thought the scenes of Gloria standing up to Tom were really good.....again I know she ate the show alive, but I always get reminded that Judith is an excellent actress even though all the stuff with Gloria basically flopped in the next couple of years, which is probably why Judith decided to focus more on her theatre stuff... I feel like a writer who was less conservative would have made Kevin and Scotty a couple...LOL I don't ever want to see Rikaart in a gay story though he is in real life, but I can't help but noticed he does have strange chemistry with Redford here...IMO I don't get why they had Sheila change wigs with the Jennifer disguise here, unless she started out as someone else...It's a shame the alliance with Tom made it impossible for Sheila to interact with more people during this return.... I guess this was one of Shemar's final cameos (before coming last year) as Malcolm.....Kind of weird but I never really feel like whenever I watch old episodes while Malcolm was still on, he was really on the show that much.....I know he was, but perhaps it's just lots of 1994-2002 2004-2005 episodes aren't on youtube besides a handful maybe...and he's only on one of my 94 and 95 episodes... Back when everyone thought Khalil was leaving for good...LOL I still can't believe they brought Lily back with a capable actress in Davetta, yet they was all blown apart cause somebody though Khalil was the "ideal" Lily and we have been stuck with her ever since....ughhh...they would have never paired Cane with LIly if Davetta was still there I bet... I didn't realize Devon and Sierra were that good friends.....and it was nice to see the original Yolanda before they F**ked it up with the horrible YoHARMONY retconned with Debi Morgan and Stephen Nichols.... I honestly could have seen maybe Malcolm getting with Yolanda here to help clean up her act.....if only they were more invested to these characters or Shemar didn't get his rise to primetime... Nick and Daniel scenes were ok....though I'm guessing we don't see much of Daniel until the following winter when DS Lily returns.. Y&R wasted Shemar (which was ridiculous because they promised him huge story to get him to return) which is why he left abruptly & stayed away for close to a decade. Devon & Sierra had great chemistry but were dropped so Devon (like Danny & Cricket earlier) could go under the bus for Daniel who was useless until Davetta was cast. I wonder if MAB had any big plans for Gloria after she got exposed for the Face Cream sham.....It seemed like Gloria was getting phased out right after that whole debacle and the Kay/Marge redux stuff of her being in jail with Katherine.......I think Judith decided to pursue more outside theatre work which is why she dropped to recurring....I feel like now it's JFP/Pratt who doesn't have use for Gloria (which is probably one of their better options anyways) I agree that Jill could have easily just had Gloria's stories, though I would have hated her being shunned by everybody during the aftermath of the face cream stuff... I guess they just wanted a reaction from fans then actually coming up with story when it came to Shemar (much like last year though that was a 2 day guest stint) there was absolutely no point at all for horrible Darius McCray to come on as Malcolm for that awful 2009-2011 stint....such a disgrace recast.... Devon and Sierra did look nice together.....I really just don't get why no one at this show realizes all the mistakes that should never have been made, I guess it's obvious what too many egos will do, though I still believe that CBS/SONY are the real evil's here for everything that has happen the last decade.... I'm not going to lie, while I certainly don't miss Judith being onscreen as much as she was once upon a time, I do love whenever she pops up onscreen. But yeah, I have to agree, keeping the likes of Gloria, Traci, etc. offscreen during the latest regime means that they're safe from being completely massacred. The one character I can honestly say I'm enjoying more under Pratt's reign is Ian Ward, but it helps that I'm a huge Twin Peaks fan more than anything. Darius McCray as Malcolm...there's a nightmare I just cannot shake no matter how hard I try. Especially going through 2010-present again, I assumed that it wouldn't bother me as much this time around, but...no. I cannot believe they actually went ahead with that. It's best to have Traci and Gloria off our screens so they won't get ruined anymore....I'm at least glad Traci is returning for Christmas, and I'm sure Gloria will make a surprise appearance when we least expect it...I also will admit after that appearance on B&B from last year, maybe Gloria could successfully relocate to L.A and come out with her own fashion line? I will never understand the insane Darius McCray ordeal....what they ever saw in him was a mystery, and it was probably all just to get more buzz..... anyways I just finished watching the 9-6-05 episode... Amelia is really sounding and acting a lot like HT in these early scenes of her as Victoria....again it's a shame they decided they weren't ever going to write for a strong Victoria again, cause I'm almost convince if she stayed like this it would have been a lot better today.....maybe not....but anything's possible....That woman who played that Leslie woman was Elizabeth Storm who was also Sheridan's mother Katherine on Passions when she was still only a ghost....(she came back for real later played by Leigh-Taylor Young) The Tom/John scenes are an example of why I still miss Jerry Douglas even if he still comes back as a ghost....he certainly took on a level of badass this time.....punching Victor not too long before this episode then threatening Tom... Michael and Gloria together with Kevin look more like they can be his parents......I know it's nothing new when they cast children and parents who are only like 5-10 years older in real life, but Gloria and Michael here come off as less convincing as Mother/Son..... I'm surprised the Winters still got a handful of story during this time...I guess I'm saying this because I feel like Devon spent so many years on the backburner before they did more with him the last coupel years and he certainly has been on a lot these episodes...I guess that started during LML of him getting backburned and lasted through most of MAB's run... They really took their time with the Nick and Sharon breaking apart didn't they? I guess it's good it wasn't really rushed though I still hate how Nick sleeping with Phyllis will forever be the death knell of Nick and Sharon ever getting back together (well that and the writers thinking Sharon is just this psychotic freak)...

Kind of an off topic question, there have been a few OLTL episodes from February 2005 surfacing when Heather Tom was playing Kelly and Kimberlin was there for her brief stint as Paige I believe.....did those 2 cross paths at all? I know they never did on Y&R, but just always wondered if they had any scenes on OLTL.... on a sad note in one of the episodes Kimberlin was interacting with Nathaniel Marston....I thought it was cool/sad to see them working together...

I can tolerate the crazy sometimes...as long as it's done for the right occassion.... Yeah, apparently Braeden was tired, and wanted out to do more movies.....I guess they talked him into staying....this was also before the infamous brawl he and Bergman got to so that wasn't a factor.... It just surprises me cause I feel like Braeden always makes it known he's NOT a quitter so if this was true he obviously didn't feel that way over almost 25 years ago...then again the article got his age wrong saying he was 47, when he was 49-50 in 1991 so perhaps it was all a lie.... Yeah, I can handle the insanity such as this that the likes of Sheila can bring, but doppelgängers and such, not so much. Yeah, I can't see Victor going anywhere anytime soon. Between him, Stefano and Alf Stewart on Home and Away, they're going to be around forever. I don't care if I ever hear the word doppelganger again LOL... Thank You Thank You! so I just read an article from 1991 on Eric Braeden who was very close to quitting because....get ready....he was getting "Burned Out"....

Well I know 2008-early 2009 under her, wasn't too bad....It all began to go to hell when Colleen got shot and Victor got her heart leading to Braeden's leaving for 2 months......I honestly still think that's when Victor became the horrible monster he still is now, though a part of me wants to say he was worse under her regime.....maybe it's the whole throwing Diane off the ambulance and keeping Billy from Delia that still haunts me though, hiring a double Yack seems worse, yet Victor hasn't been grating my nerves too badly since the Adam reveal...oh and the constant scenes of Katherine kissing Victor's ass amidst all that terror still creeps me out forever....to the point where if Katherine were still around now with Pratt (which is probably a good thing she isn't I hate to say) I feel like they wouldn't have done the Marco story at all just cause realistically something like that would make Katherine wash her hands of Victor forever.....and If Braeden has say he wouldn't allow any real confrontation scenes like that between Katherine and Victor.... I guess one thing I liked was the use of old background music whether it was to MAB's credit or not......

You know I hate to say this, but I have been thinking lately that perhaps at some point I should try to rewatch MAB episodes from 2009-2011 just to see if it was as bad as it was...which I already know it was, but I'm still trying to figure out if it's because the stories were boring, stupid, didn't make sense or bat s**t crazy which is obviously all of the above, but I want to try to figure out if there was an actual plot to any of her stories during those last 3-4 years or if it all really was the equivalent of a 4 year old just throwing random blobs of paint on paper, and hoping it all comes together....

It sucks cause Most of my 92/93/94 uploads were on there so unless I get my old computer fix,I might have to just burn all those dates again and just upload unlisted on youtube......what sucks more is that then I will have to figure out what to do with that one 1992 date that Youtube always rejects because of that stupid TFI copyright thing.....that's the whole reason I gave DM a try in the first place.... If you had some of my dates that you could re-upload, that would be great and yes that 3/6/92 episode lasted a mere 2 seconds before they canned that too.....there are so many other videos I have to to try to re-download into my files at some point unless others have already re-uploaded...

I only really started watching Y&R regularly in November 2008, so I haven't seen that much of 2005-2008 Gloria, besides what you are currently posting, but looking back it's obvious that Gloria was starting to phase out right when I started watching.....That was when she finally payed for the face cream then had that role in that 08-09 Marge story with her and Katherine being in jail, then later Katherine shunning her out in front of everyone.... It's obvious that Smith/LML and MAB loved her, and I think the majority of the reason Gloria hasn't been a key player since late 2009/2010 is because JC choose to pursue other projects like her theater stuff....I bet if she remained on contract she would continue eating the airtime....It's the current team with Pratt and JFP who clearly have no use for her minus being a "drop in" character, but I did like those recent Chelsea scenes not too long ago like you mentioned... It just makes the most sense for Scotty and Colleen to be paired up.....giving both their parents history, they could have played right into that, maybe have Scotty not get along with Brad for a while because he thinks he's one of the reasons (other then Sheila of course) that Lauren had a rocky relationship with his dad.....

Catching up more with the 05 shows, I finished 8/30/05.(My first day of Freshman year of highschool....Dang!!! LOL) I was hoping there was going to be more of a follow up of everyone seeing Lily and Daniel in bed, but I still liked the scenes with Phyllis and Daniel and Dru with Lily....at least they still took these type of things seriously as far as underage sex etc....though I would never buy Daniel as only being 17.....I always kind of thought that they should have cast a younger actor, though I never minded Graziadei..... Ugh, sometimes I forget how much of a good actor Rikaart is.....I know Kevin has never really been needed and even moreso now, but the scenes with Tom are at least far better then the asexual stuff with Mariah...obviously better material can do wonders though I personally wouldn't mind if GR and Kevin decided to leave... Gloria seemed a little too excited about meeting Scotty....no wonder Ashley made those comments.....I wish they would have had John or even Ashley make some sort of comment about how they knew Scott's father, John was married to Jessica around the same time Cricket and Scott were dating before it came out they were brother and sister.... Even though it's almost been 10 years I still Imagine Scotty never leaving (I still would have prefer a different actor eventually) and being married and having children with Colleen or someone else on the show.....If the show wasn't obsessed with them producing more Newman brats every 5 seconds maybe Scotty would have had more of a chance...
