  1. No Problem! most of the Sheila/Lauren scenes in these episodes were already on youtube uploaded by Aliehslive, Bpkalamazoo, etc....but I always love getting to see the full episodes, haha! thanks for 5/16/90! it's funny as I just brought up the scene of Sheila treating Lauren for the miscarriage on another post, haha. I still can't say for sure if this is Sheila's actual first appearance or not, but it's still pretty close regardless....hopefully soon the next set of May 1990 episodes (May 10-15,1990) that follow the recentish ones I posted last summer will surface, so we can find out for sure...
  2. An early Christmas gift, here is a couple new 1993 episodes! January 12, 1993 (sound is a little muffled the first segment) February 19,1993
  3. I think M/L's wedding was the last big Colonnade Room event the show did...
  4. While I agree that Michael Damien's days at Y&R are done (except for guest stints) I wish the show had a "Danny" like character now that started his own rock band....I honestly thought if they were seriously gonna keep Fen around he would be the show's new Danny, probably cause Max Ehrich is in a band in real life....but I guess it's just too expensive to have that type of story now (not that I would wanna see it with Pratt...)
  5. For me I have to take retrospective approach because even though it sounds bad looking back, at the time I actually had enjoyed some of that. Like for an example at the time I was a Phyllis fan and gleefully smirked over the Daniel/Danny neglect revelation as I was less than enthused with the Danny/Christine reunion at the time. I smirked when Grace Turner turned out to be Cameron's lover and co-conspirator. I felt Katherine falling off the wagon was due to reaching a mental breaking point from the stress of trying forge something with Jill and it was actually a nice throwback to have Katherine have flashbacks of her and Phillip and then dream of Rex and Phillip III. John dumping Gina for Van Ark's trashy Gloria was hilarious. However some of the other stuff which you mentioned Dee was indeed completely forgettable(Olivia even got engaged to Wes!) and even I had a forgot about some of that stuff. I could have bought a real Kevin redemption story, but they botched it really bad. Heck I forget about that orchid story, it feels like Damon Porter was never a character on the show now. I liked Damon, but then his own story went down with the stupid stuff about having to rescue his ex-wife or something? Ask me about the Cameron story and I think the only thing I can say about that story would "oh yeah that's when Nikki and Sharon were in the sewers". But yes 2004 did certainly unravel into a trainwreck and somehow Lynne, John Silva, and Mamie all exited stage left. Well I think Lynne moved in her with her mother in Chicago but it was all without any fanfare. Didn't Braeden almost at one point leave for a bit in the fall of 2004? I remember right after taking his complaints to the soap press Victor was gone for a month to seek out Victoria to convince her to return. I don't know much about Damon but he's one of those characters that probably was suppose to do more, but ended up getting wasted as usual.....I know he worked at Jabot, and had brief flings or whatever with HT Victoria and Phyllis, but that's about all I know. It's still funny that Linden Ashby who played Cameron has a major supporting role on one of my favorite shows, "Teen Wolf" on MTV...........I have always thought for some weird reason the last couple years that several actors on that show, might have been good SORAised characters for the missing children on campus... It's really sad all those side characters were banished and never to be seen again as I think it would still be possible to tie them all to the canvas......especially Rafe being related to John Silva...maybe even Miguel...
  6. I thought he only punched Brad once during the LML era? I know Brad tried to attack him a couple times over the years with little success..watching him punch Neil in prison probably pissed off the most though and you would think Neil would have been able to strike back.... I sometimes wonder if Victor's best years were before Bergman was cast, though the writing was still good then, there's no denying the Victor/Jack dynamic was more rounded when Lester was still around... haha I forgot about Victor/Genevieve, I still throw up in my mouth when I think about that one scene of Maura West stripping down in front of Victor a few years ago....
  7. ugh.....It really does seem like Braeden is the HW of his own stories.....:( I don't get The MTS thing as both her and Braeden proved to be popular with different pairings....so why would he get all upset about that? unless he really felt he was in danger of being thrown in the backburner.... The family dynamic thing is also ridiculous as it's basically saying that they will never truly break free of Victor, as again realistically after everything Victor has done they should be DONE with him... no wonder he has "great things" to say about the show now....I think this is truly Braeden's vision of Victor and the writers are just caving in....
  8. I may be off base, but it's kind of sad how the writer's have to change gears just because a certain actor who's use to getting his way, bashes the show to the press....and this is a terrible example to use but I can't believe no one at the helm had more of a Claire Labine or Wendy Riche approach with Braeden as when Tony Geary complained one or the other just said he could LEAVE if they don't like it.....you would think someone at Y&R would just tell him the same (though I guess he's just that hard to stick up to in real life then he is as Victor) Was he at least ok with getting punched by Jerry Douglas?.....I could probably handle Victor better if other characters were at lease allowed to slap or punch him more today Ill admit....but that will probably never happen again, which is sad cause realistically that's what would happen....Bill Bell even allowed Cole to punch Victor circa 1994... I suppose if Katherine were still alive she would be the only one allowed to slap Victor, though towards the end she overlooked every single thing Victor did especially to Billy etc... so today probably wouldn't be too much different with the Marco/Paragon mess...
  9. That does sound really stupid on paper, even if I would have to see most of it myself... I still wonder if the reason the Victor story turned out they way it did was because of Braeden's bitching as he admitted that he wasn't gonna let Jack Smith take Victor down......though I guess they way they wrote it was more unbelievable compared to some sort of a Victor "redemption" arc, which I guess they were gonna have to do anyway... I actually am shocked there isn't that much of Joan Van Ark's Gloria on youtube..
  10. I liked that they at least tried to make Victor suffer a little that year too....even if for whatever reason the initial consequences that Victor should have face faded away the end of that year....(Braeden having a fit?) I would have to see more of 05 before Cassie's death, but i guess it helps that Victor didn't really eat the show as much as he does now either...at least it seems that way...I sometimes wonder if CBS/SONY feels like they have to be that invested on Braeden that they allowed the countless other regimes to turn Victor into the monster he has become..(with Braeden's increasingly laziness coming to play more and more) I personally feel like the show could go on without him which is funny considering if things didn't work out 6 years ago, we wouldn't even be in this position about how horrible Victor is (though he still was back then) I always said if I can praise Maria for one thing is occasionally reusing the old scores, but that's all I will say...
  11. Not a problem at all Yeah, I'm pretty sure their affair coincides with Lauren and Michael's wedding. This was definitely a month to remember, between the affair, Lauren and Sheila trapped in the bomb shelter, John shooting Tom Fisher, etc. The Lauren and Michael wedding was re-aired so many times so it will be nice to see the episodes that build up to it...LOL (I'm still stuck in September 2005)
  12. Deeedee when do you feel was Victor's last solid year as a character./...meaning he still acted like himself and didn't become the mean horrible old fart he is now....He doesn't seem that bad even in the 2005 shows.
  13. The Lisa Rinna part was amusing....didn't she and Kristian Alfonso somehow get RKK off the show? Eileen was classy not to name names...yet I did read once she at first had a rocky relationship with Braeden when they first did Victor and Ashley....he wanted her to play Ashley more "passive aggressive" and she didn't agree with that choice... I personally find Eileen a lot more likable then Lisa but that's just me...
  14. Thanks! hey DRW50, would it be ok if you posted the Synopses section from that digest?
  15. I'm still way behind with 2005, haha but I did finish 9/7 and 9/12. I didn't think Olivia was still around at this point....I've already said how sad it is that Y&R let her slip away and never bother to bring her back... Michael just reminded us he's just as crazy as Tom during those confrontation scenes....I love how Sheila sits back and takes it all in....perhaps they would have been a great match if they had interacted in the 90's.... I guess it's safe to assume the sex scene between Tom and Sheila is what gave us Ryder and Daisy....sigh........what bull, though since I didn't even know those 2 slept together I guess at least Maria got that one bit of "history" right when she decided to create Ryder and Daisy... Jill and Katherine of course light up the screens which is of course sad at the same time....I laughed so loud when Jill kept shouting at Katherine and she was like "WHAT"!!!! I miss Jeanne so much
  16. thanks! I'm already laughing thinking of what's on those 07 episodes...LOL...(and crying of course because of Dru)
  17. A few random clips I stumbled upon circa 1986,1989, 1991 I think....
  18. I finally was able to catch up some more haha....I actually just finished the 9-1-2005 episode....(My 15th Birthday LOL) I thought the scenes of Gloria standing up to Tom were really good.....again I know she ate the show alive, but I always get reminded that Judith is an excellent actress even though all the stuff with Gloria basically flopped in the next couple of years, which is probably why Judith decided to focus more on her theatre stuff... I feel like a writer who was less conservative would have made Kevin and Scotty a couple...LOL I don't ever want to see Rikaart in a gay story though he is in real life, but I can't help but noticed he does have strange chemistry with Redford here...IMO I don't get why they had Sheila change wigs with the Jennifer disguise here, unless she started out as someone else...It's a shame the alliance with Tom made it impossible for Sheila to interact with more people during this return.... I guess this was one of Shemar's final cameos (before coming last year) as Malcolm.....Kind of weird but I never really feel like whenever I watch old episodes while Malcolm was still on, he was really on the show that much.....I know he was, but perhaps it's just lots of 1994-2002 2004-2005 episodes aren't on youtube besides a handful maybe...and he's only on one of my 94 and 95 episodes... Back when everyone thought Khalil was leaving for good...LOL I still can't believe they brought Lily back with a capable actress in Davetta, yet they was all blown apart cause somebody though Khalil was the "ideal" Lily and we have been stuck with her ever since....ughhh...they would have never paired Cane with LIly if Davetta was still there I bet... I didn't realize Devon and Sierra were that good friends.....and it was nice to see the original Yolanda before they F**ked it up with the horrible YoHARMONY retconned with Debi Morgan and Stephen Nichols.... I honestly could have seen maybe Malcolm getting with Yolanda here to help clean up her act.....if only they were more invested to these characters or Shemar didn't get his rise to primetime... Nick and Daniel scenes were ok....though I'm guessing we don't see much of Daniel until the following winter when DS Lily returns.. In less than three years Gloria went from an amusing recurring character to a primary lead. It was especially irritating because when Y&R wasn't using Jill to prop Gloria Y&R was using Gloria to marginalize Jill. Between Victor & Katherine suddenly deciding Gloria was a corporate powerhouse to Traci & Billy being marginalized so Y&R could throw Jack & Ashley under the bus Gloria didn't just eat the show alive. She consumed it whole. Jill & Lauren being sisters made absolutely no sense but it would've been a lot more tolerable if Jill had been in Gloria's place during the Abbott Face Cream wars. Y&R wasted Shemar (which was ridiculous because they promised him huge story to get him to return) which is why he left abruptly & stayed away for close to a decade. Devon & Sierra had great chemistry but were dropped so Devon (like Danny & Cricket earlier) could go under the bus for Daniel who was useless until Davetta was cast. I wonder if MAB had any big plans for Gloria after she got exposed for the Face Cream sham.....It seemed like Gloria was getting phased out right after that whole debacle and the Kay/Marge redux stuff of her being in jail with Katherine.......I think Judith decided to pursue more outside theatre work which is why she dropped to recurring....I feel like now it's JFP/Pratt who doesn't have use for Gloria (which is probably one of their better options anyways) I agree that Jill could have easily just had Gloria's stories, though I would have hated her being shunned by everybody during the aftermath of the face cream stuff... I guess they just wanted a reaction from fans then actually coming up with story when it came to Shemar (much like last year though that was a 2 day guest stint) there was absolutely no point at all for horrible Darius McCray to come on as Malcolm for that awful 2009-2011 stint....such a disgrace recast.... Devon and Sierra did look nice together.....I really just don't get why no one at this show realizes all the mistakes that should never have been made, I guess it's obvious what too many egos will do, though I still believe that CBS/SONY are the real evil's here for everything that has happen the last decade.... I'm not going to lie, while I certainly don't miss Judith being onscreen as much as she was once upon a time, I do love whenever she pops up onscreen. But yeah, I have to agree, keeping the likes of Gloria, Traci, etc. offscreen during the latest regime means that they're safe from being completely massacred. The one character I can honestly say I'm enjoying more under Pratt's reign is Ian Ward, but it helps that I'm a huge Twin Peaks fan more than anything. Darius McCray as Malcolm...there's a nightmare I just cannot shake no matter how hard I try. Especially going through 2010-present again, I assumed that it wouldn't bother me as much this time around, but...no. I cannot believe they actually went ahead with that. It's best to have Traci and Gloria off our screens so they won't get ruined anymore....I'm at least glad Traci is returning for Christmas, and I'm sure Gloria will make a surprise appearance when we least expect it...I also will admit after that appearance on B&B from last year, maybe Gloria could successfully relocate to L.A and come out with her own fashion line? I will never understand the insane Darius McCray ordeal....what they ever saw in him was a mystery, and it was probably all just to get more buzz..... anyways I just finished watching the 9-6-05 episode... Amelia is really sounding and acting a lot like HT in these early scenes of her as Victoria....again it's a shame they decided they weren't ever going to write for a strong Victoria again, cause I'm almost convince if she stayed like this it would have been a lot better today.....maybe not....but anything's possible....That woman who played that Leslie woman was Elizabeth Storm who was also Sheridan's mother Katherine on Passions when she was still only a ghost....(she came back for real later played by Leigh-Taylor Young) The Tom/John scenes are an example of why I still miss Jerry Douglas even if he still comes back as a ghost....he certainly took on a level of badass this time.....punching Victor not too long before this episode then threatening Tom... Michael and Gloria together with Kevin look more like they can be his parents......I know it's nothing new when they cast children and parents who are only like 5-10 years older in real life, but Gloria and Michael here come off as less convincing as Mother/Son..... I'm surprised the Winters still got a handful of story during this time...I guess I'm saying this because I feel like Devon spent so many years on the backburner before they did more with him the last coupel years and he certainly has been on a lot these episodes...I guess that started during LML of him getting backburned and lasted through most of MAB's run... They really took their time with the Nick and Sharon breaking apart didn't they? I guess it's good it wasn't really rushed though I still hate how Nick sleeping with Phyllis will forever be the death knell of Nick and Sharon ever getting back together (well that and the writers thinking Sharon is just this psychotic freak)...
  19. Kind of an off topic question, there have been a few OLTL episodes from February 2005 surfacing when Heather Tom was playing Kelly and Kimberlin was there for her brief stint as Paige I believe.....did those 2 cross paths at all? I know they never did on Y&R, but just always wondered if they had any scenes on OLTL.... on a sad note in one of the episodes Kimberlin was interacting with Nathaniel Marston....I thought it was cool/sad to see them working together...
  20. 21. Just to add another final airdate for one of the actors, supposedly Michael Evans last appeared on the show as Douglas on October 20, 1995.

  23. I forgot that TLW wore a wig for most of her run right?
