HBO: Game of Thrones
I would be annoyed that they are milking Jon's storyline for all it's worth, but since there isn't one chance in the seven hells he won't be resurrected I'm letting it go. Mel said as much tonight when she mentioned that she saw him fighting at Winterfell. I don't think she traded her youth for Jon, I think she's been ancient this whole time. The thought of Gendrey having sex with her is unfortunate. Brienne and Sansa were the best part of the show for me. The actress who plays Brienne did really good work in that scene. I can't decide how I feel about Theon. I'm not that interested Arya's story either.

HBO Now has a one month free trial if anyone needs a way to watch tonight. I said it was HBO GO on Vee's status feed, but that was a mistake.

HBO: Game of Thrones
I wonder why the show runners are so eager to wrap things up? Is this show a nightmare to produce for some reason? It's not as if they are truly out of source material. There was enough there for 10 seasons and HBO seemed to want it to last as long as possible. I'd love to know the inside scoop.

Yeah, Bernie is sort of ruining his brand for me. I like Bernie, I like his ethic way of talking with his hands, his common sense snarkiness at times, but it seems like he wants to take Hillary down with him and I am not sure what that will accomplish. He did great for a 75 yr old socialist nobody ever heard of, and he has furthered the liberal agenda to degrees Elizabeth Warren never has. Take your victory and try and pave the way for the next guy. He's like the left wing Ron Paul, only Ron never got angry and failed to find a successor. Bernie has to hope he sparked an interest in liberalism that will pay dividends down the road, not fight on out of spite. I completely agree with you Q. It's time for Bernie to call it a day, instead of doing damage to HRC.

It's pretty clear that Game Of Thrones is going to be one of those shows that launches a hundred careers. Deadwood did that as well.

This is kind of interesting. Bill Clinton defending his record against Black Lives Matter protesters. I'm really torn on the issue of mass incarceration. On the one hand I think people should not be put away long term from drug crimes. On the other hand those crimes can lead to an increase of robberies and B&E's and that's when things get scary to me. If nothing else, I hope HRC can help make the justice system more fair across the board if she gets in. http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2016/04/bill-clinton-interrupted-black-lives-matter-activists

I think she just wants this so much that she's really afraid of putting a step out of place so she overdoes the prep. I'm really curious about who she really is behind closed doors. I've heard so many conflicting stories. I remember years ago when she cried in public and some people acted like that was a terrible faux pas, so I'm sure she's holding herself on a tight leash.

The Walking Dead: Discussion Thread
I'm not as annoyed with the cliffhanger as a lot of online people seem to be, but I do think it was completely unnecessary. I also agree that it felt like filler, but I don't think the producers thought it would come across that way. I'm sure they thought the were building suspense having the group blocked at every turn. It was nice to see Eugene come into his own even if his plan completely failed. Daryl and Maggie were half dead, so I don't think Negan would have chosen them. Realistically, Abraham is the only one who could have taken that first hit "like a champ". Not that I trust the show not to cheat in that regard. Well, maybe Rick could have, but I can't see them killing him. I was happy to see Michonne and Carl staying tough, while everyone else was crumbling. I'm not worried about Carol. They aren't going to kill two major people off at the same time, imo.

What didn't start with Trump? If you were responding to me, I said I'm annoyed with poor people being blamed for the rise of Trump. Pretty sure Trump is the source of Trump, otherwise how is his rise any different than any other Republican candidate? And if he weren't different I don't think they'd be p*ssing themselves over his success.

^ That's really sad, but again the source is the ultra wealthy.

I just can't understand how anyone takes this SOB seriously. I may not like Cruz or Rubio, but at least I could see how some people might agree with them, but Trump is just so off the wall. I hate to sound like an elitist, but I feel like he's exposing the idiocy in our country. I never would have believed that so many people could be so g-damn stupid. It really gets my goat when people blame the poor for Trump's rise. I'm seeing that more and more on Facebook. It's not only the poor and uneducated who fall for authoritarianism. The very source of this debacle is a billionaire with an elite education, but let's blame the "trailer trash".

I can't either. This whole thing becomes more insane by the day. Now he's saying he wants to ban abortion and punish women who seek out illegal treatment. I'm sure that does appeal to Christian extremists. I've seen some people saying that Trump doesn't really want the nomination, which is why he keeps saying more outrageous things every day. I don't buy that at all. I think he does want the power and isn't in it just to build is brand or whatever. What really annoys me is that even though he's not likely to win, he's damaged our country while lining his own pockets.

The Walking Dead: Discussion Thread
^ You really don't think he's dead? I was figuring he might be since the actor got a new show on AMC. Plus would they want to do another fake out after Glen? I'm also worried Maggie might be eaten from the inside, if her baby is dying. Hopefully she's not far along enough for that. Anyway, I didn't much care for this episode. It was a bunch of people who should know better being stupid and putting other people at risk.

Just when I think this election can't get any stranger. Somehow it's even more amusing to me that it might have been Rubio reaching out from beyond the grave.

I agree. Marco actually started to say some good things once it was clear he was over and done. That stuff about "Do we really want to be a country where everybody hates each other". Spot on, but too little and way too late

He absolutely has a shot. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to remember how he had "no shot" at the nomination six months ago. I imagine he's going to stop talking about the scary Mexicans, denounce the Klan (wink wink) when asked and start showing Ivanka off a little more. "I love women! Look at my daughter"! The Muslims will be the scapegoats. We just have to hope that not enough people fall for it, even though more people than I ever imagined are already falling for it.

I wish the characters holding Maggie and Carol hadn't been dispatched that quickly. I wanted to see more of them, especially the red head. I actually thought that Carol was faking the breakdown. Since not, I'm glad she could do what she needed to do when the time came.

I think there is hope that Rubio will get Florida and Kasich will get Ohio and that might stop Trump from getting the nomination. I doubt JK thinks he's getting the presidency at this point.- The Politics Thread
Amen. I think all human beings sometimes speak off the cuff about things they don't really know and that's what happened here. It's just that HRC is under he microscope and got this one wrong.- The Politics Thread
^ That was really f*cked up. I don't believe candidates are responsible for their supporters, but they are obligated to disavow this kind of violence. I hope that guy goes to prison for a good long time. - The Politics Thread
