  1. I don't remember thinking BM/KM had fire chemistry. I did like that it was at least something different for Sam. From my standpoint, I think Becky and Billy had better chem to be honest. To me, Jason/Sam was always her most viable pairing. It just got played out. Their beginning was cute even if it was a story meant for Jason/Brenda which would have actually been fire.
  2. Interesting. I thought the fact he acted a bit younger was an appeal, but apparently it is not lol. Leo's age just never really entered my mind in this scenario. I was confused at how two people who shared a couple of drinks and some texts were now suddenly in a serious relationship. Leo's schemes are idiotic. Sami at 15 was way more intelligent. Don't diss her like that haha!
  3. I totally understand your point. To me it's not Leo's age or looks. He's 40 plus obviously. Whatever. That's not the reason to dislike this coupling. The writing and build up is. I have no idea why Javi would like Leo because the show hasn't told us. If the show had given us some scenes to explain why they both were attracted to one another and why they connected it would help. Looks mean nothing in this scenario to me. I just need some human interaction between them to buy this. 9/10 teenage girls would have been dumb enough to stay with Tate. Heck, I probably would have at 16 or 17 because I was dumb lol. Sophia wasn't immature at all. She really liked Tate, but saw he still had feelings for Holly and wasn't going to be second best. She made a choice to respect herself. I am probably giving Days writing too much credit but that's how I perceived it. Anyhow, not a big deal or that important.
  4. Considering it was a best of flashback situation they probably had to dig deep to find Sam with personality lol. I think there were definite times KeMo still showed some spark even in the end, but they were bogged down by the 99% of time she didn't. If I had to choose the summer she was a villainess and her falling in love with Jason were probably the times she showed the most emotion. I know she and Billy had a special connection, but I never found Sam/Drew stuff interesting.
  5. It's never happened to me nor has anyone said someone else's name to me either. I thought it was a thing that only happened on tv shows lol. I think there is an accidental slip of the tongue and what Tate did. It's very clear Sophia was insecure about Tate's previous relationship with Holly so that was a deal breaker for her. I would be irritated if she bought Tate's bs and stayed with him. She had respect for herself and walked out. The singular action by Tate wasn't the reason she broke up with him. For a teenage girl I thought she actually showed a lot of maturity and wasn't overreacting at all.
  6. Oh, yeah. Leo probably should have been cast as younger to begin with especially considering he was teased as John's son. The way he treated Gwen was deplorable and we have to hear how sad he is about losing that friendship which is 100% his own fault. Tate calling out Holly's name while he was in bed with Sophia is kind of a big thing lol. I like Cat's hair personally. Women always straighten their hair and make it look perfect on tv. I like her natural curls and waves.
  7. That's very fair. I think we can see two different things at the same time. I totally understand your point of view even if I disagree. Are we coming to a fair agreement on SON? Weird lol.
  8. I don't know. I totally get what you are saying as a full grown adult with an actual home and mortgage (ugh) and being like why does this man not rent an apartment, but I could still see myself thinking it was fancy and rich. Because why else would you live in a hotel?
  9. I am surely not propping Leo but I would also say he acts younger which makes a big difference. He still seems like he's up for fun and going out and not passing out on the sofa chair at 8. I do think that makes a difference in a relationship. Ugh, I sound like some sort of Leo stan, which you all know I am not. I just can believe someone from out of town with little frame of reference could find him attractive and fun.
  10. Wow, rude. And I am not even the original poster. Gabi has told Javi most everything Leo has done to her knowledge. I don't think she knows the whole scope of everything Leo has done, but Javi was fully warned. I don't know if I met someone living in hotel suite or not I would probably still think that was pretty fancy lol
  11. I don't think he does. He's 48? He looks fine. And I hate Leo. There have been years and years of much younger women hooking up with older men since the beginning of time. I don't see a difference. We all know Leo and hate him, but on paper for Javi-Leo is funny, has a good job, seems like a good time, etc. I buy that Javi could be attracted to Leo. I just don't buy the relationship because there was no build up. What's the hot button issue between age differences in the gay community? Not trying to argue I am just legitimately curious as I haven't heard much about that.
  12. How would anyone even know if Javi/Leo are a good or bad couple? They've had like 14 scenes total. We missed any sort of relationship build. And I think Leo being too old is the least of this story's problems. It went from flirty point A to full on relationship point D in one episode. I also think it would be really weird for Jada to hound her personal partner all day and all night about his decision to leave the force. She gave him space to reconsider like a normal human being in a long term relationship?
  13. I think the show should have pulled the trigger on Liason before Courtney and gone with it. The problematic thing is Brenda's return would have put a wrench in that and I can absolutely understand at least testing a Brenda/Jason pairing at the time. Liason just lingered on for so long and never really got any "couple" material besides plot points that it's hard to reconcile anything good about the pairing now. Lucky/Liz still have some legs because it being a first love and much more serious than the few rolls in the hay Jason/Liz had.
  14. Exactly. Their teenage romance was a bit of a fairytale and I think JJ/RH do an excellent job of displaying this is how it ended up years later. The love/affection is still there, but Becky especially does a great job of understanding Lucky and resigning herself to his faults at the same time. You do get the sense of supercouple when you know they both could make it work, but are reluctant to try for so many reasons. ETA-I actually do like Liason as well. I just think Lucky/Liz have a more fleshed out relationship. Despite the years and years of will they or won't they with Jason/Liz I was never sure they really were ever together or really knew each other.
  15. I am someone who really believes JJ/RH still have it. I know it's been a long convoluted road for both characters but they still have chemistry. And I say that as a LL2 fan, but not a huge shipper or anything. I don't even know if I want a retread of the romance, but I always find their scenes so rich in chemistry and underlying nuance and history. JJ has sparkled with Genie (and Tony) since moment 1 so I am not surprised about that.
  16. I am going to have to agree with @Vee on this. Lucky's been painted into a corner as a deadbeat dad. I think the show is at least trying to get from point A to B on this with Lucky struggling with his decisions. I don't like the writing. I don't like the return thus far. I also think it would be odd for Lucky to show up after a decade plus and be all in on family life with no explanation as well. It was always a bit of a no win situation with the way the show portrayed Lucky post-JJ leaving the last time.
  17. Stop hatin' on JJ. He's writing is enough to hate him. JJ does have spark. It's just low key right now.
  18. I literally googled her to see if she was in her mid 30's or something, but she's older than me lol! Whatever she's doing, right or wrong, looks good. I immediately got a sense of energy and spark from her even though it's too soon to tell. And also, I have never found Havins cold or harsh like everyone has said. I warmed up to JMB after years and her Dante romance, but there was always something a bit aloof and unlikeable about JMB.
  19. Absolutely. It kind of shows how little the show currently cares about Sam, Sam/Jason, or their past. You know I don't care at all because I could barely stand them, but it is the little things that matter.
  20. Ha! If I remember it clearly it had to be mentioned a million times. I really recall Sam referring to the baby as Lila for years so that's a strange oversight. Alexa Havins looks really good. She's hardly aged at all.
  21. Didn't Sam name her little girl Lila? It's not a huge deal, but I didn't think the child was buried as baby girl McCall
  22. I am not really interested in bringing Yank and Jade back or anything long term, but children (teens/young adults) related to them would interest me. I do believe both Yank and Jade worked at the hospital so they could be useful in a recurring sense in that way as well. Tbh, I am not sure if Yank and Jade ever even left PC or GH. They just work off screen lol. Of course, the thing this show needs is more characters lol.
  23. They actually did do Sam/Jason dirty with that non-wedding. After everything they went through. I know it was supposed to be their "laid-back" style, but it was a disservice to their fans. I thought Brad was related to some of those characters which seemed liked an opening to bring more on, but I guess it was dropped like most things. So it seems like it would be extremely easy to bring these characters on? What a miss when there are so few Asian characters on any soap.
  24. When Sam and Jason got married at the Noodle Buddha in the Asian Quarter I thought perhaps there might be a resurgence of that area/sets. Is Jade (Tia Carrere's character) related to Selina Wu and Brad? You could always bring back one of her children.
  25. I would say the pivot toward Carly and that relationship ruined Drew, but then he had some spark with Nina/Willow and I thought there was a chance. Now, I am over it.
