It makes no sense. It also makes no sense the Dimera's can't just kill him either. I think the stated reason is because Clyde has a large syndicate/crime ring (from his prison cell🙄) and they don't want Tripp/Wendy/Gabi to be collateral damage and get killed.

You know, Jagger absolutely could have said that. He may have had an abusive stepfather, but I don't believe the stepfather would have been the biological father to any of the children. I can't recall any of Jagger's backstory about why the were left alone. I would just take a guess and think maybe his bio father left, his mother remarried, and the stepfather somehow convinced the mom to abandon the children. There is an early Jagger/Karen playlist, so I might dip into that. I just find Jagger/Karen quite snoozy lol. Gina was an interesting character to introduce and it's strange they didn't do more with her, but I was under the impression she was quite a bit younger than Jason/Brenda/Jagger/Karen. Possibly younger than Robin because from my understanding Stone was a year older than Robin and Gina was the youngest so she would have to be Robin's age or younger. It might have been a bit icky for Jason to date her at the time even though Nikki Cox looked pretty mature. I still think it would have been a decent idea to keep her around though. At that particular time I don't feel like the show had much investment in Jason at all. I will take a look at the Tiffany/Cheryl clips, so thanks for those. I do think it's a compelling story just not where I would have taken the character. You hit the nail on the head in saying we never saw Tiffany's triumphant rise back.

TempSloan looks and acts very much like RealSloan. That was good casting lol. I get really annoyed when things are set up so stupidly like Leo babysitting today. While I didn't mind the scenes we all know Sloan could have just called Eric and said she had an unexpected client (his own nephew!) and needed to meet with them. It's not like Eric's visit with Holly couldn't wait a few hours. So, Sloan called the entire town to babysit, but just didn't tell Eric to postpone his visit? I am being manipulated into liking Leo and it won't work. The John/Steve/Ava prison break story is just ridiculous. John/Steve talking about their training is lol. Does Days not realize we have eyes and although they were quite stealthy in their 30's John/Steve have been members of the AARP for at least a decade and a half now. I am worried someone's gonna break a hip here.

Cody and Sasha are the most boring couple on the planet. Of course, she reads Pride and Prejudice. You think Maxie's dialogue is repetitive? Sasha and Cody have the same damn conversation every week for at least 6 months now. I am actually surprised Jason was revealed so quickly to people. I certainly thought it would take more than a few episodes for Sonny to find out.

I took it as Jada sent the information she personally knew about Bobby to Marlena not that she used police resources to do it. It seems like Jada would know details like her ex husband's parents name, place of birth, etc. To get a marriage license in most states you need to have at least that information. Well, Will did date John's son so Idk...

To be fair it also looked like some of the flannels Marlena wears to work just not buttoned. Will got his taste from his Grandma I guess.

The thing about Jason's accident wasn't that he didn't have emotions and was stone cold. He just didn't process emotions the same anymore and had brain damage and issues with social cues, reading maps, memory, interpersonal relationships, etc. But he was trying to learn those things. Sometime in the 2000's the narrative became he's fearless because he has no emotions and is some sort of hitman shaped robot. I don't think that was the intent of the original accident and clearly turned into some weird Guza fantasy, IMO. Steve loved that idea and never tried to do much else again.

Agreed or just visited Stone more often? I do think the show is doing a good job acknowledging Jagger is misplacing some of his own regrets and anger at himself onto Sonny. I think his scenes with Scotty at Karen's grave helped explain that.

The Jax and Sonny beef actually dates back to 1996, so we are nearing 30 years lol. I would say it's much more deep than a petty beef over Brenda/Carly as there were children and violence involved as well as the sheer number of years Jax saw it up close and personal. Honestly, I'd be fine with the show just ditching the accent too. I agree this Karen stuff hits different because it so sleazy and scummy and Sonny still thinks he helped her. The show tip toed around it for a long time. I think it should also be noted that Brenda was 18 when he started dating her. That makes a pattern of him being predatory back then. The Stone issue I don't really agree with. Sonny really did no wrong by Stone and I am sure the AIDS wing has helped 1000's of people. So while Sonny may use it to make himself look better, the good the wing is actually doing to help people outweighs that IMO. I have no problem with Jagger talking about it and being mad about it. However, it is Karen's story and he's speaking for her. I know she's dead, but I have to take in account that Karen forgave Sonny and moved on with her life. I think it's worth taking a few episodes and scenes to set up the anger and re-visit Sonny's worst flaws and somehow squeeze a Brenda mention in lol, but it will get old fast.

No one, except apparently Ava today, has ever thought Sonny was helping Karen especially people that have actually watched it. Yeah, I don't know. It's getting interesting. It would be really difficult for me to wrap my head around Ava working on this the whole time, but perhaps Jason was staying undercover to figure it out and to keep Sonny safe because multiple people are involved?

I don't think she actually cares what Sonny did or gives a crap about something that happened decades ago. The wording and way MW said it gave me a big pause. I was thinking the opposite and that Jason does know she's involved and will expose it.

IIRC, I think I have seen an article with Wayne and Lynn in that era and she was very blond with long hair. She also could have just been at the reception. ETA NVM I found of few pictures and she was brunette so that definitely could have been her.

Very true about Jagger and his savior complex. I would also agree multiple people including Luke, Brenda, Robin and Stone all combined to help rehab Sonny. The entire abusive stepfather angle helped as well. I think his treatment of Stone did immediately make him less of pariah and all the non criminal PC citizens were admiring his devotion to Stone though. And I do think the Stone stuff has gotten mentioned quite a bit over the years when someone is defending Sonny.

Speaking my language of course. Considering there are new writers and AH is a decent actor and has done okay so far I'll see how it plays out. I will never not be put out by this casting, but I can give it a shot. Sonny needs a take down of course. Jagger doing it isn't the most satisfying option for me.

Idk, Jagger's always been quite the ladies man. I doubt even AH's version was that lonely thinking about Sonny all these years. But, I too, said I would give AH's Jagger a shot in upthread today, so I'll do it lol. I just hope we move on a bit from the Sonny stuff and into other things for him to do because even if the dialogue and scenes are well done it's going to get tedious for me quickly.

The problem is the show, as of this moment, is making it seem like Jagger and Sonny have this lifelong rivalry and Jagger has been carrying this anger for years and years. And that's pretty sad for Jagger because Sonny hasn't probably thought about Jagger in decades like the rest of the audience. I'll give John and the new writing a chance, but it seems a bit one sided at this point.

I agree all those things are true. But Jagger can harp on these facts all day long-it's over. Sonny was horrible and he should be called out on his actions, but how many times a week does Jagger need to do it? It's basically the only thing he talks about as of now. To me this seems more about Jagger's own regrets about Karen/Stone than Sonny.
