  1. Yeah. We can go into all the backstage dynamics that Frank allows especially with his faves, but I don't know if Steve has the power to veto this on principle. Robin/Kmc isn't coming back outside short visits, so that's not an issue. Jason's return certainly hasn't set GH ratings on fire, so I could see Steve being smart and just doing what he's told at this point and not creating waves. He's pretty lucky he got re-hired so seamlessly in the first place and it's very clear the show is shoe horning Jason in stories where he doesn't exactly belong to make him relevant. Not liking it and refusing to play it are two different things. We are used to Mo and Steve throwing their weight around, but SBu might just be fine letting it happen to keep his job. I think we sometimes overestimate Steve's power these days. The show can survive without him. Even though most of us know the show could survive without Sonny it hasn't since 1998.
  2. Steve Burton has always seemed protective of the Jason/Robin romance. I don't know how much he cares about it now, but he's always spoke fondly of it. Honestly, with KeMo being canned, Liz most likely getting Lucky back, Jason/Carly flopping for the 2nd or 3rd time, and Britt being dead, it's not like Steve has a ton of other options to push an agenda for.
  3. Well, I mean everyone's sudden turn into acting is pretty silly to be fair. Alex isn't much worse than two convicts playing the female leads either lol. I know Tate's a teen, but I can't imagine anyone leaving their own parent in that condition. It's not his fault, but if anyone I knew was in that shape I wouldn't leave them alone just in case.
  4. No to both. But at least Cody was never in a long term, committed relationship with any of Tracy's children. I know it was decades ago and I am the only one that cares, but it's still icky.
  5. I would also like to think it wouldn't be that easy for anyone to break into John/Marlena's house with all the damn kidnappings between them. Really, John? Xander used and Amex to break into your house!!!!! Leo Howard must be the most laidback person in the world. He plays Tate like he is so chill and cool with everything. Also, who leaves there drunk/drugged father passed out like that? I would at least stay to make sure he doesn't choke on his own vomit or something.
  6. I think James is trying to mimic Cody with his outfits. On another note, my Jason/Robin loving teenage 90's heart is broken. I hope it's a fakeout, but I am still grossed out.
  7. OMG!!! I did not read this thread before watching today and was wholly unprepared for whatever just happened with Jason and Anna!!!!
  8. Thanks! I grew up so close to Naperville but sadly live on the other side of the country now. I am sure someone out there will recap. It's nice to see Rena/Vanessa are still such good friends. I won't even get excited about a 'big' announcement though lol
  9. He probably had some time or guarantees left on his contract and Ron made GV work for it lol. On a different note, I fine Holly so unlikeable I am team Sophia. I don't know why Tate even puts up with Holly when Sophia seems cooler and more interested in him. I know Holly is upset about recent revelations, but none of this is Tate's fault and she's being crappy to him again. Theresa and Brady weren't wrong to want Tate to stay away.
  10. While I agree the ratings will probably be better than GH's for baseball playoffs and don't really care one way or the other. Is the baseball audience more affluent that GH's though? Younger? Sure. But more affluent? I don't think so.
  11. I certainly have lol. But, yeah, Abe could maybe call him up. Maybe he got another soap gig in LA.
  12. From my understanding Eric has a decent job in Paris. But, yes, Eric would pretty much do everything for free lol. Nicole could also get a job to help, just saying... I think he gave up on Holly for the day because pretty much everyone told him to back off for a bit. Well, Justin is a mature adult so he can handle the acting part of the love scenes. He should be more worried about his wife's silly antics with Hattie. Johnny's an overgrown teen with his first job at about 28. It's also a bit more concerning because Chanel has actually slept with Alex.
  13. I could see Eric doing it for free. Abe is his father's best friend. Marlena is friends with Kate. He's related to both Johnny and Stephanie who are heavily involved. It seem like one night's work-not a huge deal. Also, Nicole is very close to Abe and would probably encourage him to help. The rest of the show was nonsense though. I really have no other comment. Everything for Alex/Chanel to Bonnie vs. Hattie is just stupid.
  14. I guess. It's just very clear this is a story Ron came up with on the fly after the strike for whatever reason. There was no thought or depth put into Connie's motivations. Ron just wanted a super villain who could run around town poisoning, stabbing people, and blowing up things. Most of Connie's plans were very calculated and thought out (ie killing Bobby, setting it up as a suicide, and having him take the blame). That implies some level of being aware her actions were wrong and had consequences. Anyhow, the story is wrapping up so it doesn't matter. I just think the show could have taken a few beats to explain her behavior when Li was nice to her on one date. Isolated? Lonely? Abusive past? History of obsessiveness or stalking? Anything, but one day she decided she was in love with Li and then killed him when he didn't reciprocate months after their one date.
  15. Just curious, would you just de-age Rocco? Or would you de-age a few children? I feel like Georgie, Aiden, Rocco, Danny and maybe even Charlotte were all born around the same time on the show (not that it truly matters).
  16. I am actually a bit curious why GH started this Lucky/Lulu story when Genie was obviously going on vacation. I guess they thought just seeing JJ and bringing Holly back would fill the gap. It would just make more sense to hold off on the Lucky stuff until Genie is back. She could be looking for him (while on vacay), but she and Kevin would find him. GH seems to just be biding time and dragging it out as long as possible. Well the Liason fans do have a better chance than the JaSam fans these days so they at least have that lol
  17. Thanks for the recap. I do intend on catching up, just haven't had the time or desire lol. Days is so much more convenient. If I miss the normal GH airing during the day by the time it's up on Hulu I've lost interest.
  18. I suppose lol. I like the idea of multiple characters being involved (not Jason though), but it's been boring. I am a few days behind on the show, but judging by comments the story hasn't improved. I know the delay in getting Lucky back to PC may have something to do with Genie being on vacation. I am pretty sure there were at least 7 or 8 episodes of Lucky playing cards though.
  19. Did Clyde really ever leave? He's been consistently causing trouble all year. Connie being crazy isn't really helpful to understand her sudden foray into murder. She decided to kill Bobby/Everett to keep her secret and stabbed Rafe because Bobby wanted Jada. Neither person actually 'wronged' Li. Connie looks to be 35-40. She managed to live her entire life under the radar aside from a few lies on a resume. There should be at least some explanation of her complete mental breakdown. Even Abe's crazy nurse got an explanation for her behavior.
  20. I don't why the show always does these adventure stories for returning characters. It hardly ever works. It didn't work with Brenda. It didn't work with JJ's first return. It becomes too drawn out and you just keep wishing they'd get back to Port Charles already.
  21. Lol. Yup. About 20 people live in the Dimera mansion and the only person home was EJ? Aren't you just wasting opportunities for story here?
  22. Lucky missed most of the first 14, 15 years of his biological child's life and completely abandoned Jake and Cam. Listen, I like Lucky, but he's a deadbeat dad and that's how the show has portrayed him. I don't think we are supposed to dislike him, but he's been non-existent for his kid(s) for years.
  23. I am glad this Connie story is coming to end. I know she's CRAZY, but the escalation of her crimes made little sense. She killed Li, what, almost a year ago and got away with it. She wasn't on anyone's radar. Why not just skip town with cardboard Li and move on? I don't really get why she went from accidently killing Li to a serial killer. I didn't exactly need more Connie, but some work to show her deteriorating mental state might have helped this story be more believable.
  24. Yup. I know the show desperately needs to build the next generation up, but if we have to watch a Roman just let Josh retire and hire Wayne back. It's not like Roman is used that often.
