I think this is the same idiot. It was a clear scam. I was sent screenshots from the official YouTube channel episodes all while this person said there are personal VHS tapes hahahah. You should actually report this to police if she scammed you. This is a crime. Give them her FB page.

Dont compare the situations. They are not the same. What you are doing now is THREATENING to take anons ability to record. This is waaaay too much over-reacting to someone just ASKING if there is a way to bring the uploads back to what he was recording them. I DONT ASK for 720 HD...I am just asking if its possible for the files to be 130-150 again since he WAS DOING THEM PERFECTLY and now has changed and they are lower quality. 

Anyways IF YOU decide to pull the plug... I promise I WILL FIND A WAY TO record them. It may take me time but I will and I will upload them here. AND I WILL NEVER THREATEN to pull the plug. Thats not fair play. 

So please dont act childish and take anons ability to upload. He is doing this for YOU AND us. Be more grateful to HIM and dont tell that you will stop his access to record.

Why are you threatening to cancel when I clearly am not complaining and just asking if there is an alternative to change the recording setting to bigger files. Jesus. Everyone adds to the vault whatever they have. I added nearly 150 episodes from 2003 to 2005. The way you are phrasing it" I will cancel if you complain "makes it look like I did something wrong.

Cancel whatever you want. Don't gaslight people and tell me I am complaining when I am simply asking a polite question.

I think this may be the end for me in this thread. People are too toxic and ungrateful.

I did not know videoland changed their system ... I am trying to download myself the episodes via some program which is not quite working like I would wanted (in reality it is not working at all hence I shared my account with @anon4520 to record) but indeed the highest quality to download it offers is 960x540 pixels just like @rsclassicfanforever said. It is stupid that HD quality can only be viewed via app. Pity they cancelled Seasons 6, 7 and 8 but I believe it is due to copyrights to the episodes, it terminated for those seasons.

Also, all of a sudden, adds are showing on every episode.. Till recently I had zero adds at the beginning of the episodes.

I am not saying that the angel is uploading in bad quality its just that we have tha vault and we have space... why not have them at 150 mb and be good quality. I am sorry if I am rude for asking. If its not possible I find it completely ok. ANd I thank the angel again.

It's not that big...but there is a difference and more pixels. The videoland app looks much better.

If the 1996 angel is reading... I have a little something to ask and I really feel bad to do it. You are already doing so much... and I am so so grateful! But I would ask and I think most can agree that if its possible for the Angel to return to the bigger files... Maybe 150 to 200 mb will be perfect. These new recordings look a lot worse on TV and I think the vault has enough space to have these episodes in better quality. We have some of the most boring years with files worth 700 mb an episode... and these better classic years I think deserve better. Of course if its not possible... thats not an issue. I guess Kimberlin Brown was bringing so much young viewers. That lady has some presence!  One thing I remember now is Sheila and her music score. That tone that you all know that comes up when Sheila thinks about something or plots. That particular music suspense score left a mark so strong on me I would hum it all day and pretend I was plotting something scary. I would run in the garden humming that music and laugh hysterically as if I was Sheila and I remember at some point a neighbor started to complain of all the noise.  Too bad nowadays there is no iconic music score that repeats and repeats like that anymore. Everything sounds so basic now. Back then you would hear the music and know that Sheila is around. I MISS this so much.

Thats a complete utter lie in the commentary. Thats not how Caroline died. She didnt look good. The actress lost weight and looked very sick for weeks in story. Also the final scenes were very strong. She acted amazingly. These people dont know what they are talking about. Absurd.

I am sorry if a thread like this exist somewhere. My question is in the title... is there a particular moment while watching a show that you got so hooked... you continued for years. Please do tell what that moment was and on what show, what year?

For me is as follows

1. The Bold And The Beautiful

First memory of being hooked on it was when Sheila was poisoning Stephanie. I would have been 4 or 5 years old, but I still remember it. I never could get that strange woman with the black hair that was poisoning that blond older woman out of my 5 year old brain. Me and my grandma would sit all day commenting about this. I would even play out the scenes in which Sheila and Stephanie were in a fight and would wear fake hair and act like I was Sheila. LOL. This was 1995 in USA if I am not mistaken and I think 2000 or 2001 in my country.

2. Sunset Beach

I would watch before that but when there was this particular cursed jewels story I was HOOKED. Too bad it ended soon. But I loved it as a child. This would have been 1998 in USA and probably 2002-2003 in my country.

Dynasty. 

They hired Joan Collins for a 5 episode stint and the ended up TAKING over the whole show.

Hunter Tylo started so under the radar in Bold. The first couple of months her character was just supporting Caroline and Ridge story and she was there on and off... her hair was mostly up and she wore a doctors coat. Then I could feel that they sensed what they had and BOOM she looked so much better with perfect hair and makeup and now wearing red dresses and looking very striking. She was slowly becoming leading. It was amazing.

Let me just say I am not the one who started comparing actors and talent. It started in the previous thread and when it got to the offensive statement about RM I intervened. It was in comparison to Tanner that dragonflies called Ronn Moss a footnote and said that Tanner is a throwback to OG stars.  

If you ask me...  they are similar in the talent department. Tanner for me is very wooden as BoldRestless said. He has 2 expressions on his face and that is all. But he is also not leading most of the time and I see him in very little transformative scenes. He has had only one more major thing with acting required so far and it was still very wooden. Ronn Moss got better with time back in the day. He had some good moments but overall could not get a lot of emotion across too. Ronn Moss is just iconic with the way he became a star in Europe. People are mad for him in Italy, Greece and etc.

Tanner I don't think will have that durability as a TV presence and actor. That's just my opinion. To me he is very similar to other low to mid level soap actors and will probably in few years just fade out of the profession since he is not that gifted as an actor. He could do some commercials for fitness or underwear or teeth health... I think... since he is a pretty man. But that's all. I don't see a star here. Hate me for it but I don't see it.

Ronn on the other hand with the little talent he had... probably had some lucky star in his life... to become so iconic and recognizable with just this role of Ridge... is amazing. I really never liked him when I grew up, but with time I appreciated him and I think NOBODY could play Ridge but him. To recast was one of the biggest mistakes Brad has made.  

The person that doesn't let it go is you dragonflies. I have nothing against you and DID not ever want to start a fight. I just wanted to say my opinion. I felt that what you said was WRONG and pretty much denied the whole show's history.

Now you continue to act like a child and want the last word and act like you won an argument, when you didn't SAY ONE word that defended your original post that = Ridge would be a footnote if only Ronn Moss played him, because he is so not memorable. Defend you words with arguments, please. Explain how Ridge played by Ronn Moss would be just a footnote.

You have tried to spin it further from this absurd false statement, and fight for everything else but NOT this, because everyone here said pretty much the same as me and agreed with me. And now you can't even recognise this and you act like everyone is agreeing with you... using infantile gifs and LOL-ing in every post. How mature of you. Just know that when you make STATEMENT like that about a famous actor that played in a famous show for 25 years... in a forum full of people that have been watching for decades... there would be people that would come to disagree. Ronn Moss or Ridge played by Ronn Moss will never be a footnote, sweetheart. If he was... people like you would never even write about him.

And for people commenting on actor's talent. I agree with all of you. But know that I never talked or defended talent. Ronn Moss is not the best actor. Tanner Novlan is at similar level and I suspect that this is what triggers dragonflies and makes them write false statements like they did about Ronn Moss. It's the hidden embarrassment that their own favorite is not that good.

Let me summarize, I did not start a fight, I did not tell anyone that he is ridiculous first... or that anyone is drooling or having a hard on, I did not get that low... I just stood up because a person said that Ronn Moss did basically nothing for the character of Ridge. And he would only be a footnote if TK did not come to play him. I will never let someone utter lies like that and not come to say something. I am not living in Russia.

PS... dragonflies you continue your strange statements now saying that when played by Ronn Moss, Ridge was a worse character. Here everyone WILL tell you that this is complete BS. When Ronn Moss played that character he was written by a genius called William Bell. If you don't know who that is... look him up. The new Ridge is written by this genius's son. His name will become a footnote in this shows's history someday as the person who destroyed Bold with bad writing. 

So I am astonished how you can compare the character back then and now and say that now is better. Also remember something every important - AN actor doesn't make a character not care about, in your words, Brooke's vagina. THE WRITER DOES. So you should probably say Bill Bell had a worse Ridge... Not that Ronn Moss was a worse Ridge. Do you understand how your statement again is so senseless?

But again you seem to have you own logic that doesn't fit with the world and everyone else's opinion. Good for you... but again... don't expect for everyone to stay silent while you bash a legend and then act like you are attacked or provoked.

Every time I see his chest or abs I am thrown back into classic OG stars mode and I appreciate this GOD created character and GENIUSLY played hero. Can we agree on something? Because you know what, he is the HERO of the show and he will NEVER be a footnote. He left a mark so big that after 20 years people will skip the show and the first 35 years just to start with his first scene. Everyone else will just be a footnote. Guys if someone was to start watching the show... from what year should I start where I can understand what is going on. Something like a more clean slate period. I am thinking of buying some years to watch on the internet and dont know where I should start... is 1983 or 1984 a good starting point... or maybe later... if someone helps me I would be so grateful.

Yes... I am really desperate now for my internet to come back...  and will upload ASAP.

Me and my husband are watching 2000 still. We are going a lot slower this time since we both have so much work lately. But I like this year a lot so far. I have finally gotten used to the lower quality dialogue. It was so hard after watching 1987 to 1993. But I have recently started to enjoy the show again but not get too atached to the story like I did in the first classic years. 

One thing I like is how it goes faster...There were moments in 1987 to 1999 where it was SO slow.

But again... sometimes this fast pace ruins everything. Some moments that have potential are given 3 episodes and then we have 10 episodes for dialogue that is re telling what happened. I hate this re-telling and its so Bradley Bell lazy writing. 

Its absurd how 50 plus year old sit all day talking about Amber or CJ. Not realistic at all.

But at least the show looks good and has a fresh energy.

EXCUSE ME..... have you watched the REAL Bold... Not the joke that it is today... have you watched classic Bold? Ronn Moss is a footnote in the history of the show... did you really say that... are you kidding me... do you know what you are talking about?

Ronn Moss bad or good... DOMINATED the show for more than 20 years. Yes... 20 years full of storylines. He is recognized all over the world and in my country in Europe THOUSANDS were there to greet him when he arrived at the airport... women were fainting like he was Elvis or Michael Jackson. And we dont do that for anyone.

To say that he would be just a footnote is ABSURD and very offensive to what this man Ronn effing Moss GAVE to the show. He was not the most talented actor, but he had amazing charisma and he was unique in his own way. 

I am shocked of the things I am reading. Soon some of you will probably say KKL is just a footnote and Kim or JMW is the star of the show... Sweathearts... KKL and Ronn Moss Were The Bold And The Beautiful for decades. Together with Susan Flannery and John Mccook. Or are they footnotes too?

You sit here and you act like Tanner Novlan is the grace of the lord for this show while all he has done since coming on the show is 90 percent stay silent and be naked. Please... He is throwback to OG HEROES? Forgive me but this is not the case. The OG heroes are uncomparable to the character of Finn. And Im not saying anything about the actor. He may or may not be good. But to say he is a throwback to OG heroes... Is just laugh inducing.

I wouldnt even say Ridge was OG hero, but do you know what character Ridge was back in the day... From 1987 to at least 1993... LEADING. Manipulative... Funny. Don Juan type. And you sit here and tell me Ronn Moss will just be a footnote. 

I get it some people are obsessed with Tanner, but this is not a forum for your obsessions. Get real and stop denying the past and the history of the show. If Ronn Moss didnt exist maybe the show wouldnt have been so sucessful to begin with and continue for so long so you can have your favourites like Fin.

Let me repeat. I am not even a fan of Ronn Moss but I am very triggered by people denying his legacy and mark on the show. Learn to be more respectful towards the legends and the oldschool stars that were there in the beginning.

Guys sorry for not uploading the promised 2001 2002 episodes earlier. Our building has some kind of problem and the internet doesnt work till they fix it. It happed just as I was about to upload... I mean... Murphys law. I am using my mobile data for internet. As soon as I have a stable internet I will upload.

Most of my YR italian clips/episodes are already present in the vault in the form of the original english episodes uploaded by others. I do have all 2006 episodes and all september 2003 in very good video quality, some random episodes/clips from 1999 to 2005, some 1992-93 stuff.

I've got hundreds and hundreds of BB episodes (1993-2004) (most of them still in VHS, some stuff digitalized years ago) and on DVDs from 2004 episodes. 

But, luckily, in the BB YT official channel they are uploading season after season in english.

Please upload anything you can from Bold. We really need episodes from this period! And the youtube channel is uploading one episode a day which is just... absurd. Thank you in advance.
