Someone tagged Gillum with a Killmonger GIF that said "Is this your king?!" When I saw that Sanders had easily won reelection, I knew it wouldn't be long before we heard some nonsense from him on some topic. I admit that I was unaware of his campaigning for Gillum (that goes to show how adept I've become at ignoring any and all things Bernie in the last six months or so).

I wonder whether Mueller will subpoena Sessions. Mueller likely has another round of indictments, sealed and ready to be dispatched when the time comes.

Things are happening so fast.

Trump's been wanting to get rid of Sessions for a long time. He never got over that recusal. He was likely waiting for a moment where he'd feel justified to terminate Sessions. I'm just wondering if we can expect some type of Nixonesque Saturday Night Massacre.

I see what you're saying about Rosenstein but in Trump's mind Sessions was a road block because he never backed him up.

Something else to consider-- Sessions had refused to impede or halt the Mueller investigation. Session's removal might be one less obstacle to shutting down the Mueller investigation, which could trigger other many unforeseen consequences, a few of which, Trump might not like.

He's been wanting to get rid of Sessions ever since Sessions refused to recuse himself but Trump was reluctant to do so, because it would be viewed as too obvious a move to try to punish a member of his own cabinet that he deemed disloyal. Now that Trump is smarting from a stinging loss in The House of Representatives (no matter what he claims, he's upset by it), he's unhinged and no longer cares about public perception. That's why Democrats are being foolish if they don't proceed with an investigation. Trump and the GOP don't care on whit about civility or fairness in rules of engagement, they certainly don't care about being nice or conciliatory. Meanwhile Democrats just got the House and are already wringing their hands about whether they will proceed with a basic, but entirely necessary investigation. I hope Rep. Maxine Waters requests those tax returns on Day 1 of her chairmanship-- Trump/Republicans have certainly threatened to investigate Democrats (including lawyers and witnesses to the Kavanaugh hearing) for everything.

Well, this is a surprise to absolutely no one.

I truly am trying to take in the positives of this election but I'd be lying if I didn't admit that it's still disappointing that rabid racists and Nazis can get so far in America in 2018. Also a dead pimp winning a congressional seat is never a good look.
