  1. So this happened: http://news-briefs.ew.com/2014/11/24/bill-cosbys-biographer-sexual-assault-david-carr/
  2. ^^That is so disgusting, to do that to his own daughter.
  3. She did. Originally, Michael Malone was torn between just having them divorce and Luna leaving town, and killing her off. Needless to say, he sent her off to be with the Goddess. Speaking of which, that takes me out of EVERY scene she's ever in. "Oh mah Gawdess!" UGH. That said, I think Luna was the first character Malone ever created for the show, and given that Susan is from North Carolina, like he is, it makes sense that he would have a special fondness for her (and of course, Luna herself hailed from the same state--although she had been living in Memphis just prior to moving to Llanview). Interestingly enough, I remember reading once that Luna first aired on September 13th, 1991, which was also Friday the 13th. How fitting. #boom #ohsnap Sorry, I get carried away sometimes.
  4. I just read somewhere that that Twitter account of Lisa Bonet's was fake, and apparently she's not on Twitter at all. I just checked it again a few minutes ago, and it had been suspended.
  5. What is the current total number of women who have come forward? Isn't it above 20 now?
  6. A lot of people, myself included, have noticed that the line "a long list of ex lovers" in Blank Space sounds a lot like "Starbucks lovers." It may not have been intentional, but it would be kind of brilliant if Starbucks teamed up with Taylor at some point and based an ad campaign around it .
  7. That, along with a quote with a few years ago that she wished some of the girls she was seeing for her new modeling agency would "get some anorexia", definitely made me sick (even if she DID have a point that she was just telling some of these girls what they should expect in the modeling world, fair or not), but that doesn't mean I don't believe her, which I do (and the photos/stories about getting that in her book only cemented it for me). Add in the tragic history of what happened regarding her father (she was once quoted as saying, "Because I wouldn't give in and let him have sex with me, I was verbally and physically abused on a daily basis. I was told that I looked like a boy and wouldn't amount to anything. I think if you abuse a child, your balls should be cut off. You should be castrated immediately."), and that's all I need. To lie about this after everything that happened while she was growing up, regardless of anything else she has done, would be just disgusting.
  8. A small part of an interview Janice Dickinson did with Howard Stern in 2006, where Bill Cosby's name comes up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JglTnLBKMc
  9. Karen Witter was so beautiful. She was actually a Playboy Playmate a few years prior to joining OLTL. In the OLTL trivia book, it says that at her audition, every male cast member went out of their way to talk to her, which indicated to the producers of the show that the male portion of the audience, at least, would be able to accept her fine. Makes me wonder if any of them recognized her from Playboy! She was VERY popular with the audience of Match Game 90 when she and Fiona Hutchison were on the panel for OLTL week (and Joanne Worley revealed herself to be a fan of the show, too!). According to the same book, Angela Holliday was originally going to be the one to try to break up Max & Lunatic, er, Luna's marriage, but they brought back Blair instead due to the history those two shared.
  10. It is meant to be a joke. It may not come across that way to some, of course, but it is meant to be a joke.
  11. I get the impression that it won't, even though by not dating for over a year and a half now, she thought it would give them nothing to talk about. That said, the hidden messages she put in the lyrics of each song this time (which I saw online; I haven't bought the album), tell a story of discovering independence, rather than just leaving little clues like her previous albums did. In fact, the latter part is why I have trouble becoming a full fledged fan, even though I do like some of her songs and acknowledge her talent as a writer (and acknowledge her acts of charity/personality in interviews), because when you are leaving clues about which guy it might be in the lyrics of said song, it makes me more suspicious when you accuse people of being sexist of criticizing writing about your relationships. Yes, men write about their relationships all the time, but how many times do they (or other women, for that matter) make it plainly obvious who they are talking about in the liner notes, even without revealing their names? There's something to be said about being detailed in music/relatable, which she is certainly known for, but it can become dangerous when you're in the public eye (and all of your former boyfriends are in the public eye) and you write so descriptively. JMO, of course. For the record, this is the interview I'm referring to:
  12. I'll admit, I like Meghan Trainor's version of Shake It Off. Then again, I just plain love Meghan Trainor.
  13. Has anyone else from The Cosby Show or any of his other shows other than Raven Symone spoken out about this? (And of course, that one girl on Picture Pages who was underage when she said that incident happened--just very sad). Did anyone else see Stacey Dash's tweet about how she worked with Cosby when she 19, and how he was a perfect gentleman? (I'm not sure how to copy/paste it here like dragonflies did above, sorry) I mean, if he was, great--as has been said here before, just because a person is capable of unspeakable things doesn't mean everyone will be subjected to it themselves--but it did seem like a subtle way to indicate that she doesn't believe the claims these women have made (and given her political views/who she works for now, that doesn't surprise me). Oh God.
  14. I feel the same, but in the case of Shake It Off, it's not a good thing... I better leave before Toups hates me forever .
  15. I'm happy that "Blank Space" will be number one. I like that song a WHOLE lot more than "Shake It Off", which...I like the trumpets, but the lyrics just don't work for me. *ducks for cover* This article reveals what fans think should be the next single. "New Romantics" is listed, but since it's on the deluxe album, I don't really see that happening. Also, Ed Sheeran thought "Bad Blood" should be the first single. Sorry, Ed. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6312267/ask-billboard-all-taylor-swift-edition
  16. Just out of curiosity: What were the rumors about Lisa Bonet? I know there were things about how Bill didn't like it when she married Lenny Kravitz so young/ that sex scene she did with Mickey Rourke, but were there rumors similar to the allegations we're hearing about now? Because I honestly had no idea about any of that.
  17. I know I'm a few months late, but her audition story is so fascinating, it just has to be shared here. When Kristina first auditioned for the role of Felicia, she was 22, still living in her hometown of Indianapolis, married to her first husband. Gloria Monty had a nationwide search for the role of Felicia, with auditions being held throughout the country in different cities. For Kristina, the closest city for her to audition in was Chicago, which GM was there for, and in the GH coffee table book, she says that Gloria thought she had a terrible resume but she liked her head shot. By the time she got back to Indy, she found out she had a call back the next day, so she drove back to Chicago again for it. In the special GH 50th anniversary magazine SOD did last year, Kristina talked about how when she got the part, she had to adjust to having a new job in a whole new state, a different time zone--her whole life had changed, and ultimately her first marriage ended, but she did meet Jack Wagner because of the show (which worked out, until it didn't, of course). In any case, this is a woman who has clearly come a long way in 30 years .
  18. Did you know Gabrielle Medina is a saint? In all seriousness, though, Fiona actually wound up in therapy because of the crying Gabrielle had to do during that first run. Granted, her first marriage was falling apart during this time period, too, but still. I only wish I knew the context of this clip. It's definitely from 1990. It could be between the time period that Max was presumed dead (and Gabrielle denounced God in church) and when he came back alive, but most likely it's after she cheated on Max with Tony to keep his mouth shut about embezzling money, along with her involvement with Carlo (which ultimately sent her to prison the following year).
  19. Well, Kevin went through a bunch of Cramer women, including Cassie, who used to babysit for him and Joey when she was in high school, and was briefly married to his uncle Bo.
  20. Her albums have officially been removed from Spotify. They have been using her lyrics to try to woo her back : http://www.buzzfeed.com/reggieugwu/taylor-swift-removes-all-albums-from-spotify
  21. I didn't know that, either! I DO know her dad, Nat, was on the show near the beginning of her run, though. I think he was a scientist. Until Cutter and Kim became her kids (which I didn't mind that much; although I kind of liked that she was one of the few women on the show not to have kids--she even had her tubes tied at one point!), that was her only family member ever on the show. ...Except her sister, apparently. Who was Blaine? She stands out in the picture of Megan with her bridesmaids at her wedding to Jake, because she couldn't have been on for very long.
  22. I read that article, and they've decided not to release it on Spotify (and they're taking down her previous albums now?), which certainly seems to be paying off, given how it's selling right now. I know she was scared the album would be pirated/leaked before it was out.
  23. Touche. Yeah, I saw an interview she did with the Graham Norton Show where she talked about how she looked up fans for the parties she had at her houses to play them the album.
  24. This is a random question, but the first line of "Shake It Off" is "I stay out too late." Taylor Swift is about the LAST person on Earth I would ever think of being accused of staying out too late. Someone like Lindsay Lohan or Tara Reid about a decade ago? Yes. But hearing Taylor sing that just strikes me as very random. I know it's kind of a strange question to ask, but for some reason it just sort of bugs me and seems weird coming from her .
  25. Out of the Woods is AWESOME, and I'm interested in listening to Welcome to New York, too. I'm poor as hell, though, so if I want to hear the whole album I have to wait until it's finally on Spotify. I'll be honest, though, Shake It Off does not work for me at ALL (and that's probably the main reason I can't see myself buying the album). The instrumental is pretty good--I love the trumpets, and I'll admit that I may have been too harsh in calling the music too similar to mid 2000's Disney Channel music (although it still doesn't sound very 80's to me), but the lyrics just rub me the wrong way. It just sounds like she's being catty for no reason. That, and I can't deal with the rap at the end. JMO, of course. I'm kind of surprised no one's mentioned the song "Bad Blood", and that it might be about Katy Perry. Her Rolling Stone article from last month was very interesting to me, in part because it sometimes seems like she's much lonelier than she lets on. Not because she's single--absolutely not--maybe the stuff about the way press follows her, and not wanting to give them anything to talk about. I don't know; I just sort of got that impression. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/features/taylor-swift-1989-cover-story-20140908 I'm interested in listening to the bonus song, that, I think, is supposed to be for her friend Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff (from the band fun.) if they ever get married. Yeah what happened to him, anyway?
