  1. Thanks for the info.

I think it's the same with English and its accents 😉

I don't watch Coronation Street, Emmerdale or Hollyoaks because of the Northern accents. The Australian accents of Neighbours and Home and Away, and the London accent of EastEnders are all closer to the language where I come from. I find there is a significant cultural difference with the Northern shows. I have wondered about German dialects/accents. I know there are huge differences between Swiss and Austrian German to standard German. Is there much difference in your opinion between German in Hessen/Frankfurt area to the rest of the country? That's where I used to live.

I put on UU and AWZ at the weekend but didn't like them as much as GZSZ.

  2. Thanks @Huntress. I've been watching the show regularly. I love Katrin/Jo/Yvonne. I'm not keen on Erik as his German is hard to understand, but everyone else is clear as day. Have the post-pandemic episodes begun to air now? I saw an episode the other day which mostly focused on Jo and Maren's partner reminiscing about the past? The attempted rape storyline with Emily is good, she's one of my favourite characters. I quite like Paul too.

  3. I don't like any of those characters anyway 😂

When drunk, Katrin ran over a homeless person and Jo tried to cover it up. Yvonne took care of the homeless person and became suspicious.

Thanks Huntress. I really enjoyed the 7000th episode.

What did people think of the 7000th episode?

Not sure yet as not watched yet - catching up on Classic EastEnders and still got 12 episodes to go 😆 I'll post here once I've watched it. Which country are you from and have you been able to watch GZSZ on your TV? I think you have to download the app to do it and it looks like it's not able to download outside of Germany :( I've been watching on my laptop but I'd much rather be able to put it on the TV. Apparently 1992 to 1996 of GZSZ is available on RTL now as well as 2002-2003 and a couple of other years.

GZSZ also announced today that Senta-Sofia Delliponti will return for a multi-week guest arc this summer. The actress played Tanja Seefeld, Maren's oldest daughter, on contract from 2010 to 2013. Tanja was a wild child and the complete opposite of her shy half-sister Lilly. She was involved with Vince and Zac and wanted to bond with her father, American rock star Kurt LeRoy. In 2013, she left for Australia and has rarely been mentioned since. After her exit from GZSZ, Senta-Sofia Delliponti started a successful music career. Under the moniker "Oonagh", she has released 4 studio albums – all of them reached the Top 10 on the German charts.

Oh wow, I remember her! Has it really been 7 years :o Thanks for the cast list, much appreciated!

I've finally been able to register and post!

Long time lurker here, who is using my first post to say how much I enjoy this thread.

Welcome :) @Huntress do you by any chance have a current cast list for GZSZ in chronological order? Thanks in advance.

That's what I was saying - why would she rush to to resurrect her career if she has little control over it anyway? One of the reasons her spark may be gone is because she's not in control of anything in her life or career.

Oh sorry, blonde moment! Well I just hope one day she gets out of that damn ridiculous conservatorship. What do you think about the #FreeBritney thing? Surely there must be reasons for the conservatorship to be in place though still? Unless the courts have it in for her too...

She's very much dependent on the team around her as she's never really been in control of her career (or life sadly). After being treated as commodity by both the business and her own family for so long, it's no wonder she's not rushing to resurrect her career.

I'd have thought the opposite. Surely if she has no control over her money why would she bother putting the effort in?
