Overall, I think the revival has had a lot of good moments, but the Toadie/Mel/Terese/Paul story has consistently been the most difficult part for me to get through (along with Haz - I have no idea where you are in the story so I should save my ranting on that manchild).
Yeah, the Toadie/Mel thing is driving me crazy. I want them to write her out now, it's been too much. Don't like Haz either.

Got a tear in my eye earlier listening to this song. It's one of my favourite workout songs and I've known it for years but it really resonated with me today. It's only one lyric on repeat but it hits hard when you're feeling it.
If every day goes like this
how do we survive?
You're working late on the night shift
to get peace of mind
The short version is the first video, but I'd really listen to the second video to get the full effect of the song, even though it's 7 minutes long. It's worth it, the euphoria0 -
I'm behind 4 eps too.

I wish it were still this easy. RTL+ only accepts payments from the Single European Payment Area, so even VPN did not help me subscribe because all of my payments are from U.S. cards. Even PayPal did not work. I tried to see if someone would send me some GZSZ episodes I wanted if I paid them, but no one was willing. I'm so bitter.
Your best option is to watch the free episodes with a VPN before they drop off the catalogue, but I understand this is a very regimented way of watching it.
I've been having trouble watching too and basically given up, but it seems easier to watch if you use the free version. It used to be a lot easier to watch GZSZ.

Holby City and Casualty, I’ll give you. They are/were always officially designated ‘continuing drama’ whereas Doctors is a soap opera. To the extent that it features in the British Soap Awards in a way that the first 2 do not.
Yes, although it's not a soap in the traditional format, as it has guest characters in every episode. It is technically a soap though.

I personally wouldn't consider Holby City, Casualty or Doctors to be soaps, they're all medical dramas, with Doctors perhaps being the most soapy of the 3. I can't see EastEnders going anywhere.

The thing is, Doctors has only ever been a daytime medical drama and has never really been a mainstream tv show. I do think it's a shame though.

Have they said how many weeks and/or episodes it will be? Will there be a holiday hiatus?
Jason Herbison said in an interview (I can't remember which) that there wouldn't be any seasonal breaks.

Now that the story has opened up with Paul finding out about them and Byron's past being exposed, I'm more involved than I was. It's about middle for my list of stories (if I ever feel like it I was going to rank the stories so far).
What are you enjoying most?

I seem to be in the minority but Reece and Byron's relationship is actually my favourite storyline in the revival so far. I think they have good chemistry and find them interesting to watch.

I notice the official YouTube for GZSZ has uploaded the full storyline for Moritz and Luis. There are 5 parts and it starts with this one:

Just as I was losing interest they had a really good week with the Stacey/Freddie stuff.

Do we know how Days has been performing since moving to Peacock?

The issue I have is that everyone seems to have killed someone at some point or at least tried to kill someone at some point. It's too much. Feels like there is no good characters, everyone is just vile (or was at some point)... I find it hard to root for majority of them.
I think that's my issue. It's too cold, no one to really care about.

OMFG! So jealous!! Two amazing albums!! She seemed to be well received when she opened for Backstreet Boys earlier this year in the States, too!
That's good to hear, it's criminal how underrated she is! I can't wait for her next album, I really like her single Back to Your Heart.

This just makes me want her to be the next theme performer.
I met Delta recently as I had a M&G ticket for her date in London, she sang the Neighbours theme there too. She's such a lovely woman, and has an incredible voice. I got some albums signed too.

ETA: It looks like it's doing pretty good today!
No worries, yes it has been Number 3 on Freevee worldwide for the last few days I think.

Thanks for the replies I would have liked to see a Canadian soap air long term.

I've been monitoring Neighbours on Amazon, and I've noticed that it isn't appearing in the Top 10 in Canada despite being available on Amazon Prime there. I did some reading into soaps in Canada, and it appears there have never been any long-term soaps in Canada, and they've relied on imports. Is Canada just not a soap-watching nation then? I was wondering how imported soaps have fared there over the years. I hope Neighbours does start to pick up a bit of an audience there, but I feel that is unlikely.

It's from a website called Flixpatrol, which can be found here.

@Skylover I'm watching from the States as well. I'd heard a few people mention the TV ratings in Australia were very poor so hopefully some of the Amazon numbers balance that out.
They are, but the show is airing at 4.30pm there, so it's not surprising. It seems most are watching on catch up, but I imagine it's mainly its success on Amazon that will be the main thing. The UK has been the reason the show has continued since at least around 1992.

I'm watching in the states! I've only done week one so far but I was stunned at how much I enjoyed it. I watched maybe 100 classic episodes from various eras and I found the show to be very vanilla and difficult to get into. The reboot so far feels more modernized and soapy and instantly drew me in. Production values are fantastic as well! I LOVE that hotel set!
The cast is also really nice. I'm glad they introduced a new family from the jump. I feel like they represent the new viewers and it's nice moving in with them, so to speak. My early favorites are Holly, Terese and Paul, but there is nobody that I dislike. The weak link is obviously Mischa Barton. I get why they cast an American, but she is just such a low energy performer. If anything, I feel like they should've cast a big US soap star. Mischa may get them a few headlines, but I highly doubt she's bringing any viewers in. A US soap star could inspire coverage in SOD and might convince fans to watch the show.
Glad to hear it! Who else is viewing from the US? Neighbours seems to be doing quite well in Africa.

United States!
Cool, is anyone else watching from the States? Neighbours is placed 10 on Freevee's site for America.

They definitely went back to the beginning concept, while continuing [some] of the work from the series' finale.
Are you watching from the US @Liberty City, or did you say Australia?

Yep, I can't stand Toadie and Mel together.
I'm liking them together. It's a shame they're going back in the Toadie/Mel direction when it doesn't work.
