  1. I like Freddie. But he'll be out there faster than you can say axed, as EE doesn't often give characters a chance. I think he should have a proper storyline, they've clearly hired him for his social media presence but I think he has some decent acting skills so might as well use the character properly.

I hope Ricky jr is the father of Lily's baby because it will get Sam involved. But I fear Lily lied about who the dad is.

Thanks for these - I hadn’t seen those Alan and Carol scenes in years - fantastic work from Lindsey Coulson.

No worries. Seeing as the show is being repeated on Drama, I'm trying to upload all the great classic clips in decent quality. I know for example that Kim's first scene as Sam is on YouTube but it's not in great quality. I'm grateful we're getting this repeat so that more of the big moments from the back catalogue can be kept for posterity.

  3. I enjoyed the Christmas Day episode but the Mick/Janine story was weak as hell overall. He would never have gone near her in the first place. I wish that story had never happened. And Mick and Linda would never have broken up. I wish they'd get rid of Linda, terrible actress. The Carters were never a good family.

Who put Sonia in charge anyway? I’m not fond of her running the family

True, but I think she was the closest person to Dot left in the Square so it makes sense. I wasn't keen on the funeral at all but I seem to be in the minority as most people loved it.

  5. I wasn't impressed by Dot's funeral episodes. It really wound me up how they had that cheesefest procession of everyone standing up to announce their memories of Dot, when the scene should have been given entirely to Sonia and could have been a heartfelt moment. There were also a lot of noticeable absences like Max, Carol, Charlie and Nigel.

I did like seeing Barry Clark again though, but it appears that the guy who plays Colin has forgotten how to act. And they already rolled our Mary and Lofty for the last funeral.

The show will also be moving back to the main channel in Australia instead of being on a digital channel.

Where has this been said? I find it curious that Amazon and TEN are going into partnership with this. I assume Film Victoria will still be stumping up some cash, and that, along with being offered the entire back catalogue, might have been what got Amazon interested.

How many years have I been talking about F.A.S.T. and its possibilities for continuing daytime dramas??! Guys! I was shouting into the void then, I guess.

Even before F.A.S.T., in fact, I have been talking about daytime dramas being revived via ad-supported streaming. Aargh!

    What is FAST?

  8. It has improved, but I agree it's still not on top form.

Something I've noticed over the years is that there's just not enough nice, likeable characters to root for anymore, nor enough comedy or lighthearted moments. It's too dark and so nothing ever feels that dramatic because everyone already hates each other anyway.Β
