Yep, it is running 4 episodes a week for 6 weeks during the summer, so it'll feel like a soap with longer storylines and more cliffhangers.

I have a feeling this will be the best season since... about Season 4 or 5.

My all time favorite moments are when Kim tried to be a country singer, when Sheree cursed out the party planner, and that time Sheree and Kim got into at theat restaraunt. LOL!

yes. You should check them out. ATL was the first one that I watched and got me into the franchise but this season of NY is better than last season of ATL. NJ started off slow but its coming along as well.

Im not sure when ATL will return but it should be interesting especially with the drama thats happened since, like with Nene's family. Kim turning into a lesbian (probably for show! lol) 2 new housewives joining and Victoria Rowell possibly as a recurring housewife.

Manny was in one episode in Season 9, it was the one where Jane was tempted to cheat on Spinner with Declan. Don't remember the episode title.

Liberty left in Season 8. Emma and Manny were on Season 9, but Cassie Steele (Manny) said on her twitter (or Facebook, can't remember) that she was done with Degrassi. There hasn't been any word on Miriam McDonald (Emma), but she will most likely be gone too.

I have heard it, but as far as I knew it was only in Canada, so yeah don't know much about it.

I am excited for the character AMS mentioned in their previous post.

Im just excited for the new season period. Also for the first time, the show will be simulcast in Canada and America, at least for the summer episodes.

I also read that the show was being moved from CTV to some channel called MuchMusic, it must be pulling some horrible ratings up north Hope that doesnt mean the show will be cancelled anytime soon, it still has lots of potential, either way I think TeenNick would try to save it because Degrassi is the only "original" programming they have left.

Riley is my favorite of the new characters, but characters like Bruce, Leia, Blue, Johnny, and Sav just annoy me.

I do enjoy Anya much more than I did when she first came on to the show.

And one thing I always hated was how they never gave Hazel anything, I would loved to see them do more story involving her being Muslim.

I LOATHED Ellie. That bitch just pissed me off, except for her pairing with Sean. Her pining after Craig was just pathetic.

So what were/are your favorite characters and storylines?

As for me I love Emma (Season 1-4), Manny, Spinner, Marco, Paige, Jimmy, and JT.

I have so many favorite episodes and storylines. I loved the whole drama surrounding Rick in season 4 which lead to the shooting, as well as Emma getting an STD. (Sorry if I spoiled anything YRBB), also loved Paige and Darcy's rape storylines, and Marco's coming out storyline.

I will forever be disappointed with Season 7 the whole Degrassi/Lakehurst stuff could have been gold and filled with lots of drama but it just fell flat.

Yes, you do have alot of ahead of you. Seasons 3 and 4 are the best ones IMO. I would love to go more into detail, but I dont want to spoil anything for you, but if you dont mind knowing feel free to ask me anything about characters and what is coming up. I am a total Degrassi fanatic, feel in love with The Next Generation after seeing the original Degrassi series awhile back.

I will admit as a grown man, I still watch D:TNG. I started watching the show when it premiered n America, back in April 2002. I have seen just about every episode, so wanted to discuss the show with fellow fans. Season 9 just wrapped up in America, and the movie "Degrassi Takes Manhattan" will be airing this summer.

What made the show black was its flavor moreso than its content

That is exactly why I think those people Y&RWT mentioned in his post consider ADW a black sitcom and not the TCS.

It had a certain flavor to it, whereas The Cosby Show was more of a universal sitcom that looked beyond race.

However I consider both black sitcoms either way.

Not sure. Dwayne and Whitley visited the Huxtables in one episode. Maybe she was in that one.

I love that episode where Vanessa came on and she and her friend lied and said they were French exchange students to get dates with Dwayne and Ron.
