CBS has ordered two additional episodes of “The Price is Right at Night,” a special primetime edition of the hit daytime game show hosted by Drew Carey. The episodes are scheduled to air Wednesday, February 15 and Wednesday, February 22 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, and will be available to stream live and On Demand on Paramount+.

Similar to its daytime iteration, “The Price is Right at Night” features contestants appearing in specially themed episodes as they play to win top prizes, including money, vacation packages, household appliances, new cars and much more. Previous episodes have included engaged/married couples, twins, grocery store employees, geniuses, and service industry workers, among other themes. 

In September, CBS aired a special one-off primetime edition of the game show featuring cast members from “Young Sheldon.” The network later scheduled five all-new episodes to air Wednesday nights starting January 4 through February 1. Since returning to the schedule, the series currently ranks as the network’s most-watched and highest-rated series on Wednesday nights, averaging 4.81 million viewers.

A breakdown of the two additional episode and their airdates can be found below.

Wednesday, February 15

• “Family Night” – An epic game night featuring teams of kids, parents and grandparents playing for chances to win prizes for the whole family, including new cars, adventure-packed trips to Paris and Jamaica, an outdoor home theater setup, $100,000 in cash and more.

Wednesday, February 22

• Date Night” – Featuring couples getting a chance to win amazing prizes, including romantic getaways for two to Bali, Iceland and Greece, a new boat, $50,000 in cash, a private chef for a year, and much more.

In September, CBS aired a special one-off primetime edition of the game show featuring cast members from “Young Sheldon.” The network later scheduled five all-new episodes to air Wednesday nights starting January 4 through February 1. With the additional order, a total of eight episodes will have aired during the 2022-2023 television season, pending any changes.

*Paramount+ Premium subscribers will have access to live stream the episodes via the live feed of their local CBS affiliate on the service as well as on demand. Essential-tier subscribers will have access to on-demand the day after the episode airs. “The Price is Right” remains network television’s most-watched and highest-rated daytime series and is the longest-running game show in television history. Yes, the photo I used in my article is from Christian Le Blanc's anniversary party. That was the last time Zach Tinker was on set that we currently have photos from. More photos will be available very soon.

I will say, I'm glad they got him to cut off that rat on his face cause he's looking happier without it. Ironically, I currently sport a rat on my face these days. Haha.

Returning to its regularly scheduled time period, Fridays at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT, “Bold Live” is all-new on Friday, January 20 with special guests Kimberlin Brown and Don Diamont from “The Bold and the Beautiful” set to appear live on the popular YouTube series.

The two will be on hand to discuss the burgeoning romance between their characters, Sheila Carter and Bill Spencer, respectively, with fans divided on whether they support the pair or hope the relationship ends quickly.

The most recent episodes of “Bold Live” have either aired outside of its normal Friday time slot (December 9 at 3:00 p.m. ET/12:00 p.m. PT with John McCook) or a completely separate day (Thursday, December 1 at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT with Matthew Atkinson).

Hosted by “The Bold and the Beautiful” co-supervising producer Casey Kasprzyk, “Bold Live” is the only official talk show that allows soap opera fans to consistently interact with their favorite stars from the world’s most watched daily serial.

The show is produced in Los Angeles from “The Bold and the Beautiful” offices in the Television City studio where the soap opera is taped.

HBO Max has opted against ordering a third season of “Gossip Girl,” its reboot of The CW original series that made names of stars Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick and others.

During its two-season run, the updated series produced just 22 episodes, 12 of which were released during the show’s first season which debuted in July 2021 to mixed reviews despite breaking the record for the most-watched original series launch on the streaming service at the time. A second season was ordered a few months later and consisted of just ten episodes, the first two of which premiered on December 1 on the service. The planned season finale, which will now serve as the show’s series finale, will be released next week, Thursday, January 26, 2023.

The news of the show’s cancellation came earlier today via a post on Instagram by showrunner Joshua Safran, who said, “The EPs and I will forever be grateful to the network and studio for their faith and support; the writers for their devious brains and dexterous talent; the superstar cast for being the greatest of collaborators and friends; and the crew for their hard work, dedication and love for the project.

“This was honestly the greatest set I ever worked on, top to bottom. We are currently looking for another home, but in this climate, that might prove an uphill bottle, and so if this is the end, at least we went out on the highest of highs. Thank you for watching, and I hope you’ll tune into the finale next Thursday to see how it all comes together. xoxo ps. A big thank you to all the GG fans around the world. You’re the reason we came back in the first place, and who knows, maybe the reason we will meet again.”

In a statement, a rep for HBO Max said, “We are very grateful to showrunner/executive producer Joshua Safran, and executive producers Stephanie Savage and Josh Schwartz for bringing us back to the Upper East Side and all the scandals at Constance Billard. Although we are not moving forward with a third season of ‘Gossip Girl,’ we thank them for the enticing love triangles, calculated backstabbing and impeccable fashion this series brought to a new audience.”

According to Deadline, over the last several months, corporate parent Warner Bros. Discovery has been cutting costs to meet financial goals by canceling several high-profile projects. However, the “Gossip Girl” cancellation is “not believed to be a financial decision but a result of the show not being able to break out the way HBO Max’s revival of another YA series, ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ has done, for instance.”

The series starred Jordan Alexander, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Tavi Gevinson, Emily Alyn Lind, Evan Mock, Zion Moreno, Whitney Peak, Savannah Lee Smith and Grace Duah. Michelle Trachtenberg guest starred as Georgina Sparks, a character who first appeared in the original series that wreaked havoc on the lives of the Upper East Siders.

In season two, it’s the second semester of Junior year, and Gossip Girl is leaving no stone unturned in her effort to control the scandalous lives/spin the scandalous lies of Manhattan’s elite. She’s learned a thing or two from her first go-round — namely what her audience wants, they shall get. It’s time for her to turn the heat up on what’s been simmering (Julien, have you met Monet?) and look at her impact and how she can make it more catastrophic than before. Even if that means lying to do it. Old enemies, new allies, constantly shifting sands — this semester, there can only be one queen, and by the end of the school year, everyone will know where the bodies are buried, and just who was holding the shovel.

As “The Young and the Restless” celebrates its 50th year on television, the daytime drama series continues to highlight fan favorites from the show’s past with the return of Vail Bloom as Heather Stevens.

Joining the series in 2007 and playing the character until 2010, Bloom returns for a visit to Genoa City next month alongside daytime newcomer Lily Brooks O’Briant who joins the series as Lucy Romalotti, Heather and Daniel’s (Michael Graziadei) daughter.

Since departing the soap, Bloom has gone on to appear in the films “The Ghost Beyond,” “Orphan Horse,” “Life at the Resort” and “Too Late.” She also played herself in one season of Bravo’s “Vanderpump Rules” and appeared in episodes of “Aspen: The Series,” “Castle,” “Cold Case” and “Entourage,” among others.

Outside of a few child actors before her, following Bloom’s departure the role of Heather was later played by “All My Children” alum Eden Riegel who departed the series in 2011. “As The World Turns” alum Jennifer Landon also had a brief stint playing the character in 2012.

Fans might recognize O’Briant, a series regular on the Netflix comedy “The Big Show Show,” starring opposite WWE heavyweight fighter Paul Wight (aka: The Big Show).  She has also appeared in the Amazon Original series “The Tick” and the TV movie “Crash & Burn.” More recently, she played the title role in the Apple TV+ series, “Life by Ella.”

In December, O’Briant completed work as a first-time director on “Sharing the Floor,” an original short film that she also wrote. She shared her thanks for those who helped her tell the film’s story and bring “my vision to life” in a post on Instagram, describing the project as “a story that means so much to me and is something that I know some of you might even relate to as well. This was my directorial debut as well as the first script I have ever written. 

“I learned so much from every day of filming and am so grateful to have had so many talented friends supporting me every step of the way. I can’t wait for you all to see ‘Sharing the Floor’ come to life!”

Also, did that person secure permission to post that photograph? I have seen people on social media get into trouble for posting photos without accreditation. Very careless and irresponsible. Sadly, many people don’t consider lifting the works of others and using them as their own to be a big deal, when it’s pretty egregious.

The photo is courtesy of JPI, which I pay a hefty fee to utilize on the site every month. The problem I had with the person's posting is in addition to using my exact words, the photo was the exact one I edited to use in that article. Unlike some other sites, I don't upload the original hi-res version of photos I have access to because it defeats the purpose of paying for them which this situation proves as my point.

As for permission to post the photo, as stated above, it's the same exact one I edited for my article's use although slightly adjusted for width/height by Twitter. It's highly unlikely the poster got permission from JPI nor that they are paying for it. It's exactly what you said about people not considering what they post online or on social media as someone else's work.

In a segment entitled “All Hail The Queen,” daytime legend Susan Lucci appeared on the Friday, January 13 episode of “TMZ” in which she was asked why she never left “All My Children” at any point in the 41 years she played Erica Kane on the soap.

“Oh, there were a number of times,” Lucci stated with a smile. “Actually, every time my contract would come up for renegotiation I would think, ‘Am I really happy?’ and I really was.”

As a point of reference, the show highlighted several actors who had their careers jumpstarted by the ABC soap and have gone on to bigger roles or other noteworthy projects, including Amanda Seyfriend, Josh Duhamel, Sarah Michelle Gellar and even Kelly Ripa who stirred a debate rang among the staff in which they discussed how much more money she’s raking in as co-host of “Live with Kelly and Ryan” compared to how much she made playing Hayley Vaughan Santos on the daytime series. One male staffer who appeared to prefer stability over money commented, “Good for her! I wouldn’t jump!” A few moments earlier he said of working on a soap, “It’s the best job you can have as an actor.”

Later, highlighting the soap’s 10,775 episode run, the staff wondered if “TMZ” might last just as long. In response, founder and managing editor Harvey Levin said, “I didn’t think ‘TMZ’ had a year.”

Keeping it in production through at least the 2023-2024 television season, “The Drew Barrymore Show” will be back for a fourth season on CBS Stations, it was announced Tuesday by Steve LoCascio, President of CBS Media Ventures, which produces and distributes the show.

“This season, ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ debuted a new reimagined half-hour format, which has been an undeniable success,” LoCascio said. “Ratings have grown 70% year to year, and creatively, the show is better than ever. Drew makes news every day with her insightful celebrity interviews and welcoming style. Nobody does it better. We’re thrilled to have her in the CBS family.”

Starting with the show’s third season, “The Drew Barrymore Show” is produced as a one-hour talk show split into two half-hour episodes with one of the episodes airing at 9:30 a.m. slot following local newscasts on CBS Stations that choose to air their own half-hour local newscast at 9:00 a.m. The scheduling change gives CBS Stations the flexibility to air both half hours of the talk show on its duopoly stations in markets where the company owns two stations (ie. CBS-owned WCBS and WLNY in New York).

“It’s gratifying to see ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’ continue to grow creatively and attract larger audiences,” said Wendy McMahon, President and Co-Head, CBS News and Stations. “The new format is working out great for stations, the show and CBS Media Ventures. It makes us very happy that our viewers will be able to continue to enjoy the humor, heart and humanity that Drew, Ross and their colleagues put into each and every episode.”

Season to date, “Drew” is up +70% among total viewers (1.21 million), adding nearly half a million viewers year to year. It ranks as syndication’s #4 talk show. For four seasons, “General Hospital” alum Vinessa Antoine starred as Marcie Diggs in the Canadian drama series “Diggstown,” and now the actress is following up that role by joining the cast of the Netflix original series “Ginny & Georgia.”

Appearing in episodes six, seven, eight and ten of the show’s current second season, Antoine portrays Simone, an attorney who is dating Ginny’s (Antonia Gentry) father, Zion (Nathan Mitchell). The complete opposite of Georgia (Brianne Howey), Simone’s time on the show has already led to her making a big impression on Zion’s loved ones, including sharing meals with Ginny and joining Zion as his date at Georgia’s wedding to Paul (Scott Porter).

Okay but the credits for individual actors were based on their status at the time the episodes were taped, right?  Lindsay's contract status in summer 2022 wouldn't relate to whether or not DAYS is renewed in 2023.

I'm curious if all the actors' contract statuses would have changes or adjustments when they changed from taping episodes planned for daytime broadcast to taping episodes planned for streaming.

They all still have contracts which expire at various periods, but it's becoming clear that a lot of them aren't really for long periods of time. With DAYS in particular, the longevity of the show is always in doubt so it's hard for them to lock people in for a lengthy contract. Meanwhile, Y&R/B&B know they'll still be around in 10 years even though they aren't renewed yet for that time frame and GH can be canceled on a whim but until that happens they run with the assumption the show will be around for another 60 years.

With the six months ahead taping schedule, and the lack of certainty, it's becoming easier for DAYS to drop people to recurring, or fire its entire cast, just to get a contract.

As part of the show’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration episode, “The Bold and the Beautiful” star Lawrence Saint-Victor will appear as a guest on the Monday, January 16 episode of “The Talk.” Also appearing in the episode will be Tabitha Brown, an Emmy-nominated host and author.

Currently in its 13th season, “The Talk” features a panel of well-known entertainment personalities discussing current events, pop culture, family, celebrity and trending topics of the day. The daily one-hour series is hosted by Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell and Sheryl Underwood.

“The Talk” airs weekdays at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT on CBS.

Like the movie “Bros” the potential and ideas are there, just horribly executed with lazy writing and bad casting IMO.

Completely agree with this, especially regarding "Bros." The movie had so much potential but had the wrong person leading the cast, and write the film itself. Billy's character came off as more angry, racist and bigoted than any other character he tried to portray that way.

“General Hospital” star Jon Lindstrom has written his first novel, currently titled “Hollywood Hustle,” which was recently acquired by Crooked Lane Books and will be published in early 2024 wherever books are sold.

The novel is a crime thriller that follows a once-popular film star who enlists the help of a legendary Hollywood stuntman and a New Orleans-bred PI to rescue his troubled adult daughter who has been kidnapped by a murderous gang of misfits.

Lindstrom said in a recent social media post, “I think this is what you call a “pivot”? A couple years back I decided to quit procrastinating on a long-held secret aspiration and try my hand at writing a novel. And now, that novel has been acquired for publication by one the best houses in the biz. Reminds me of an old quote: ‘Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.’ That’s most often attributed to Goethe. Apparently, it was someone else’s quote, but whomever said it was really on to something. If there’s a dream, a goal, a desire you have, do it. It’s your life. Live it!”

Following the release of “Hollywood Hustle,” Lindstrom says he plans to have a new book published “every year or so after that as long as I’m able.” He notes, “The written word is the foundation of everything I do. I’ve been blessed to see two of my screenplays produced into feature films, and to have directed one of them. Now, I’ve turned to what first inspired my love of stories: Novels.”

Lindstrom adds, “I decided to try my hand at this form that would allow me to freely experience the joy, as the great Isaac Asimov put it, as ‘the words appear on the page like magic.’”

As a writer, Lindstrom is repped by Liza Fleissig of the Liza Royce Agency.

Personally, I enjoyed parts of the show, particularly Tisha Campbell's storyline even though it came off awkward and icky at times. That said, Neil Patrick Harris' "Michael" was very annoying and Tuc Watkins' "Colin" was not very rootable. So, their breaking up didn't bother me too much. However, their potential reconciliation just didn't make sense and the friends choosing sides schtick was no good. 

The show had potential and I was semi-rooting for a second season, but I'm glad it failed. Hopefully, we'll get a better "Sex and the City" type series for gay men since "Uncoupled" and the Peacock version just weren't it.

Currently in production on the show’s fourth season, producers of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” are mulling a move to the New York Metro Tri-State area beginning with season five, reports Variety.

According to the outlet, sources say Clarkson has asked NBCUniversal, the show’s producer and distributor, to explore moving her daytime talk show out of Los Angeles where it tapes on the Universal Studios Hollywood lot. The news also aligns with previous comments made by the “American Idol” alum in a Variety cover story where she talked about returning to touring and releasing a new album. 

“It’s nothing against L.A. It’s just hard for me to be in a place that has one season. I love rain, and I love storms. I’m just from a different place,” said Clarkson to Variety last year. “It’s important to love your life – I love work and I love everybody I work with and I love my friends, but geographically speaking, that wouldn’t be my first choice.”

Other reasons cited for the move include the ability to “elevate and evolve” the show, better tax incentives should the show move to a new location, and being closer to family, notes Variety.

A spokesperson for the studio confirmed to the publication that there are active negotiations taking place that would see the show moving to the east coast, “but nothing is finalized.”

Since the beginning of season three, premiere weeks for “The Kelly Clarkson Show” have been taped in New York City’s famed Jazz at Lincoln Center located in Manhattan. A more long-term location for the show has yet to be identified, specifically whether the show will tape directly in the Big Apple or somewhere else within the Tri-State area.

Already renewed through the 2024-2025 television season (the show’s sixth), producers are said to be hoping to keep as many of the show’s production staff and crew on board to maintain consistency, particularly those who have been with the show since its launch in 2019.

Ranked third season to date among daytime syndicated talk shows, behind only perennial leaders “Live with Kelly and Ryan” and “Dr. Phil,” “The Kelly Clarkson Show” is averaging 1.37 million daily viewers. Overall, the show has won 13 Daytime Emmy Awards.

With the upcoming departure of original coach Blake Shelton on the horizon at “The Voice,” NBC is said to be looking into scheduling scenarios that could keep Clarkson in rotation as a coach on the hit music series should she choose to continue in the role beyond her return for this spring’s season 23 premiere. This season marks her ninth go in the spinning red chair.

Ryan died, Victoria grieved and then the show didn't mention him for years. I'd be surprised if the show has mentioned him more than 3 times in the last 20 years. In fact Victoria's life in the 90s doesn't seem to exist at all. Cole is never mentioned, her baby is never mentioned. She just started existing once she got with Billy.

That's because all those romances and storylines were during Heather Tom's era.

A bug that has now been fixed via software update. The software uses external images for emojis and was linking to dead links. After updating the software to the latest version, it appears to be fixed.
