THE GROCERY DEPARTMENT

IPB Image

Drew Tyler Bell has been cast as Matthew Thompson. Matt will become good friends with Shawn. The two of them are there for each other during many hardtimes. Matt comes from a very different background than Shawn. Matt's parents are wealthier upper class snobs. Matt works at the Market because he refuses to be completely reliant on his parents money. Matt will take Shawn under his wing in the beginning and will teach Shawn the ins and outs of the Market.

Thad Luckinbill has been cast as Jason Charleston. Jason works in the Dairy Department, a branch of the Grocery Department. Jason also becomes good friends with Matt and Shawn. He is a ladies man and has basically played every girl in the store until a new girl pops up in the Front End of the store. She becomes his conquest, but he has a rival for her attention. Jason has a confusing and secret past that will be revealed in time.

Shawn Ashmore has been cast as Joesph Rigg. Joey, as he is known, plays the bad boy of the Grocery Department. Joey causes trouble for not only the rival department, but his own department. He is a major kiss ass, but is lazy when it comes to work. He has the management wrapped around his finger, not to mention that his aunt is the store manager of another Market. With his connections, its hard for him to ever get into trouble.

Re-occuring Roles

Tate Donovan has been cast as the Grocery Manager, Mr. Jones. Look for him to become involved a little way down the road. He will have no story, but he is essential to the show. Each department has a manager and this is his job. He will be incharge of the Grocery Crew. There is a chance that he will become an ear for Shawn to talk to.

Peter Reckall has been cast as the Dairy Headclerk, Andrew Recks. His role is similar to Mr. Jones' role. He is essential to the show as he is another form of authority, but he is highly respected.
